very true! i uploaded a couple videos of gameplay footage, but despite my previous videos getting clean marks while the ost was playing, the videos are now all of a sudden getting copyright claims for other songs from the game's own ost. i'm disputing it, but it's still annoying
It happened to me about 4 years ago. I used music tracks which were listed as non copyrighted & then one day just bam 20 of my videos got a strike. I really felt bad! After that, I started either not using music, or doing super deep research & making sure the new tracks are indeed NC!

And the checks tab told me there was no copyright issue. Lost my trust in the tool immediately. Proving it's best to just be aware yourself of what does or does not fall under the copyright category and act accordingly!
It's just another incomplete feature that does not tell you about what they call 'potential claims'. These are hidden automated claims that the owner has to activate. What kind of sense does it make to only tell 1 party about these instead of both? Answer: IT DOESN'T

Sadly even if you dont steal someone else’s audio or anything… it will still hit you with them copyrights even if it’d a fake one its so annoying but I learned to deal with it and learned that I get fake ones…

Then a week later it bounced back to yellow. YT is becoming increasingly dishonest in its behavior. I've noticed monetization icons change regularly once or twice each year. Very devious.

Here's a horror story: My last three videos that got copyright claimed are the only ones (out of 20) that have been relatively successful and they're not even the good ones. The fourth one that has been successful is even worse because it's super shallow. I think the algorithm is pushing copyright claimed videos from smaller creators. There's even a prime case study on my channel where I uploaded the same video twice but the first one I like it copyright clean and it did outstandingly better then the exact copy which wasn't copyright claimed.
This happens to me often when I take videos of events such as a parade for example. Sometimes my videos will have more than 10 copyright claims because of the incidental background music. You can use the feature that removes the audio but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes I’ll re-upload an edited video with the audio muted in some parts and then I’m told the new edit also have issues. They’ll find copyright issues that they didn’t find previously in the older video. This has wasted a lot of my time.

Yep! I have. I've been at two strikes. I defended myself, and got the strikes retracted. It was on my most popular videos, which really sucks. By now, none of my videos are flagged. All of my videos are copyright free, and I've learned alot from these experiences.
I’m a fairly small creator and on my video I got copywrited for a song and footage. The song was obviously copywrite but the footage was from the show spongebob squarepants, which the creators already make enough money off of, and probably wouldn’t care. I had no idea how to change that because the footage was for the whole video. An example of TH-cam being an idiot.
0:15 Yes, I have (two times). When TH-cam hit me with a copyright claim for the first time, I mistook it to be a copyright strike. But I managed to remove that claim with the feature of youtube that mutes copyrighted songs. Ngl but it literally scared the living daylights out of me that day XD

Yep, I used copyright free music from CapCut and still got flagged. What’s funny is the song wasn’t long enough so I just used it twice and only the second section was flagged 😂😅
wow perfect timing. I uploaded a video last night and got hit with a copyright claim from a song that was previously fair use while uploading and processing the video. I got notified about the song and disputed it after seeing multiple videos using the same songs as me without getting copyright claimed.
What about if it says 'Copyright claim found. The copyright owner is allowing you to use the claimed content and will run ads on your video.' I basically could still upload my video right?
I uploaded a couple of vids (one last year, one this year) on my other channel, containing a song that I download from a royalty-free website. YT pulled me up on this stating that the song was copyrighted, I disputed it, told the YT process that it was downloaded from a royalty-free source, gave the claimant the requisite time to respond, to which they never did - claim lifted. the more recent one was for the same song, which I also disputed, and this time they themselves lifted the claim after about 2 weeks. moral here is that not all stuff is royalty-free, regardless of the source or what they tell you, and if it IS free, sometimes people just wanna have a piece of you for shits and giggles.
I just learned it can happen again (unfortunately). Thankfully it wasn't a strike, but whenever you use free content from editing software programs (they say is free), the original artist can claim copyright in the future, thus causing a new claim to pop up. I've made double sure they say the songs were free ...and just today got a claim from a video.

If you have Twitter (I refuse to), contact @TeamTH-cam. BTW, there is an appeal section for counter copyright claims where you need to show the url of your vid, as well as the url of the pirate's vid..That works.

Yes this happened to me. I made a reaction video and I saw that there was a lot of people reacting to it so I did it too. For the other channels they didn't receive any copyright claim but when I posted mine after 20 mins I've received a claim. Then after I had to delete it or it will become a copyright strike.
dude its so annoying i used the boys a liar pt2 and its just fully blocked so nobody can watch it i dont understand what these people gain from blocking these songs. im not even monetized
Is it a false claim or a legitimate one? Even if you do use copyrighted music, people who don't own it can still claim on it....if you can prove to them that they don't own it, they should remove the claim. But it's a risky move, they can easily deny it and the claim stays up. If you have a second failed appeal then that leads to a strike I think. Or you could try to argue fair use. I've used creative commons music that says in the licence that I can use in monetised videos, and even they still get fake claims. Hell sometimes I get claims for music that isn't even in the video. Even worse, sometimes sound effects trigger it.

I don't have any videos with copyrighted content, but I noticed a lot of mistakes on other videos. One problem I noticed is when the video has the original content e.g. a video from a children music school with children playing classical music on various instruments. I noticed that TH-cam marked a couple of pieces from Tchaikovsky's The Seasons as recordings by famous pianists. Obviously, kids would be flattered that their playing of Tchaikovsky was compared to that of legendary concert pianists, but it probably hurts the video author which is a children music school in another country. I don't think they noticed or know what to do. I also noticed a couple of videos of full ballet and opera performances with an orchestra of the theater playing the music. Various parts of music of a full performance were marked as copyright belonging to somebody else, someone other than the actual orchestra playing. I also noticed some good copyright claims e.g. when the video author deliberately used the name of a famous singer as a clickbait on a video of another, less famous, singer. TH-cam correctly added the correct singer's name. So, in some cases it works, but often, especially with original content matching the title, it doesn't.
When I was making my longer form videos. On occasion, I would have a couple get immediately hit with copywrite claims right out of the box while scheduled for release at a later date. Obviously, posting a new video every day, I noticed this new feature and am very grateful for it so I can go back and change the music (usually the issue) before it's live.
I have uploaded videos which have birdsong from my own back garden and TH-cam is marking them as having copyright claims with some Sony owned recordings. This is stupid, as sounds of nature should not be copyrighted. How is a bird to know that Sony has copyrighted its song? This really isn't right! I get multiple copyright claims all the time because I do cover songs and I turn the cover songs into crazy music videos so not only am I covering the song and doing it my own way but I'm also making my own music videos for it which have nothing to do with the originals so I try to go as custom as possible so I don't get copyright hit but of course no matter what I do they always come after me same goes for other things like people claim that there's music that's non-copyright and you can use for background music that's always a lie I've been hit for with that multiple times just doing reaction videos where I literally take the audio out and cut it to pieces or cut the video I'm reacting to to pieces it doesn't even matter TH-cam has gotten out of hand with their copyright stuff and in the worst part about all of it is I'm not even monetized so I'm not even making a single penny off of anything so it's not like I'm making money off somebody else's work or something which I wouldn't be in the first place but it just irritates me that no matter what people can just stick your hands in the pot that's completely empty I don't want to make money off of these kinds of things that's not my intention but the fact that they're over inserting themselves upon everybody is just ridiculous there's no freedom anymore everything is controlled all you can do is hope that you don't get noticed by the big guys from TH-cam

I've been uploading videos onto TH-cam since about 2018 and so far I've uploaded around 150. Most are me performing covers of well known songs, but a few are me performing my own or a friend's original songs. As far as I can recall, for all of that time the uploader automatically performed copyright checks and if it was free of copyright it told me so. If a copyright existed it invariably said the following: “Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on TH-cam.” I have then proceeded to upload the video safe in the knowledge that I wouldn't receive the dreaded STRIKE 1. Wrong!!!! Yesterday, out of the blue, I received Strike 1 for a song by The Eagles "Best of your Love" which I uploaded in 2020, so that video has now been deleted. My point is that, when I originally uploaded the song TH-cam told me that the owner had given me permission to use the video on TH-cam. I have no problem with the copyright laws (although I have always thought refusing permission for covers to be short sighted) and, even though TH-cam have given me permission to upload it, I recognise the copyright holder's absolute right to change their mind and have the video pulled. But what incenses me is that I now have to go to "copyright school" so that TH-cam can patronise me some more! And if I get another two strikes within 90 days TH-cam will take down all of my perfectly legal content and expel me from TH-cam. "Sledgehammer to crack a nut" and "small minded arse covering" is what springs to mind.

I posted a song using loops from Soundtrap, and that was 7 months ago, I just went back and looked at it to see it was copyrighted, but the song that it got copyrighted from was only posted 2 months ago. What sense does that make? And the specific loop I used is not from their song, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

I was almost completely finished with an amv I've been working on for a really long time, and I uploaded a wip to yt just for it to get blocked worldwide because the song I was using was copyrighted. I can't replace the song because of timing and how I tried my best to make everything fit perfect. I don't care about making profit, I just want others to see it. And while I could always just upload it on discord, I don't have nitro so I'd have to really compress the video which could alter the quality. Plus it's about something that none of my friends really care about, so I wouldn't be bale to get it out to the right people unless there's a subreddit for it or something.
Here's a question you may want to do a video on because I haven't seen one. I had a video opening which, I GUESS, had music in it that was not copyright claimed music, I used that opening in many videos over the course of a year or a little more...always with no copyright claim. THEN, recently...that Opening (or part of it, anyway) was flagged as copyright claim content on the NEW videos with the opening...but, still, nothing happened with the previous videos. Maybe the content BECAME copyright claimed? Anyway...I have since made a new video opening. But, my questions are (a.) IF I were to want to monetize, would TH-cam flag those other videos that formerly had no claim for that opening (in an in depth review of my videos to determine whether or not I can monetize) OR (b.) are those probably OK since they were produced and uploaded prior to there being a copyright claim against them? It would be a PAIN to have to go back and update every video that had the old opening in it. Luckily for me it wasn't EVERY video I did over that time period. But it was quite a lot of them.
Thanks man, it really helps me on what's the main difference between Copyright Claims, Copyright Protect, and copyright strick the one what i'm trying to avoid in limited restrictions and productive entertainment submission. Usually I copy songs, music videos, professional conserts, films, and/or movies from prostylers, professioners, musical artist, musical bands,professional group, actors, actresses, enven others. I usually prove my own convenient content in maintain the difference between doing my own foundation of music, songs, musical videos, inverviews, reviews, productive sceens, and films in the right dailiy basis so that when it comes to my own professional contents and musical foundation, nothing is impossible to creat many presentation to the public entertainment offical broadcast station.
This issue is the bane of my channel at the mo. I have a British travel and culture channel, and I just did my FIRST EVER reaction video. I instantly got 4 copyright claims. I disputed all of them, but only 1 was resolved. That stinks, because the video is very long and has TONS of views.... way more than usual for me. This happened because I reviewed Christmas ads... to get genuine reactions, I had not seen the ads before. Little did I know 3 of them would have very famous copyright songs! I have learnt a painful lesson :-( I don't want to further dispute and risk getting a strike on my channel. I am ineligible for monetization. I was surprised because this is definitely a FAIR USE exception, as I was reviewing the ads which had the music, providing a lot of commentary and analysis.

Soo true, Not too long ago I started a channel where I was posting some gaming vidoes, but recently from a gameplay I received a copyright claim from a kid's video. That video is just a minute long yet my entire 18 minutes of gameplay got copyright claim. I swear in the name of God that I never used his audio yet TH-cam algorithm somehow detected it as a copyright. The irony part in the video is that, when I disputed with the copyright claimer, he rejected; now TH-cam wants me to Appel with the claimer but I am sure he will reject it too, and will give him a chance to request to remove my video and give a copyright strike to my channel. Two of my videos got taken down for no reason by two people. One was because we both used a free countdown video in our videos even though the other person didn't own it and we both got it off someone else's channel (They were letting people take the videos) and the other is because no reason. I checked the video and NOTHING in it is copyright.
My story: I am a artist also a GoAnimator. One day, I uploaded a video, which took me 2 weeks to make. It was nothing wrong at first. But 3 days later, this video got copyrights claim! The song I used is called Morning Glory, which was included in GoAnimate/Vyond. That song was copyright protected. It's a little awkward. I wonder why some songs from online animated video maker got protected, causing some GoAnimators cannot revenue from their video.
TH-cam needs a little adjustment with Checks setting ! Every other video is copyrighted so you guys need to make it more better that people can use same videos in different methods! Only mute or Playing a different music is not an option. Sometimes videos can’t be replaced by different music coz there is talking going on in the video! And can’t be muted coz it’s important for listeners 😢

TH-cam’s copyright check is INACCURATE and it annoys the hell out of me. It used a awesome royalty free OST and some traditional cultural arab music creator used that same track when he opened his show. He has NO rights to the song. But youtube counted it as part of his song. I hate this so much, incredibly unfair. But it doesn’t stop there. I ALSO used a few tracks from my royalty free library in ShareFactory program (on my ps5). It’s nonsense that i got copyright claim here. I’m so annoyed
I got a claim 3 years after I uploaded the Video i.e. Today! The claim is on the video footage though. Video has 500k views by this time and this is when they decided to copyright it! No more money from this video but the system is broken if you can get a claim 3 years later!

Bro FNAF 1 soundtracks are okay to use right because when the phone guys is talking the audio cue is playing in the background and I can’t remove it other wise it will remove a whole chunck of the story
Someting to note: You can actually contact the copyright owner of a copyright music and ask for permission to use the copyright-protected content with valid reasoning. It's kinda like disputing a copyright claim, except you're doing it before you even start uploading the video.

I can’t believe TH-cam actually added something for their creators instead of benefiting huge companies or removing features
This happens to me often when I take videos of events such as a parade for example. Sometimes my videos will have more than 10 copyright claims because of the incidental background music. You can use the feature that removes the audio but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes I’ll re-upload an edited video with the audio muted in some parts and then I’m told the new edit also have issues. They’ll find copyright issues that they didn’t find previously in the older video. This has wasted a lot of my time.

Yep! I have. I've been at two strikes. I defended myself, and got the strikes retracted. It was on my most popular videos, which really sucks. By now, none of my videos are flagged. All of my videos are copyright free, and I've learned alot from these experiences.

I’m a fairly small creator and on my video I got copywrited for a song and footage. The song was obviously copywrite but the footage was from the show spongebob squarepants, which the creators already make enough money off of, and probably wouldn’t care. I had no idea how to change that because the footage was for the whole video. An example of TH-cam being an idiot.

Yes, I have (two times). When TH-cam hit me with a copyright claim for the first time, I mistook it to be a copyright strike. But I managed to remove that claim with the feature of youtube that mutes copyrighted songs. Ngl but it literally scared the living daylights out of me that day XD

Yep, I used copyright free music from CapCut and still got flagged. What’s funny is the song wasn’t long enough so I just used it twice and only the second section was flagged 😂😅
wow perfect timing. I uploaded a video last night and got hit with a copyright claim from a song that was previously fair use while uploading and processing the video. I got notified about the song and disputed it after seeing multiple videos using the same songs as me without getting copyright claimed.
What about if it says
'Copyright claim found. The copyright owner is allowing you to use the claimed content and will run ads on your video.'

I uploaded a couple of vids (one last year, one this year) on my other channel, containing a song that I download from a royalty-free website. YT pulled me up on this stating that the song was copyrighted, I disputed it, told the YT process that it was downloaded from a royalty-free source, gave the claimant the requisite time to respond, to which they never did - claim lifted. the more recent one was for the same song, which I also disputed, and this time they themselves lifted the claim after about 2 weeks. moral here is that not all stuff is royalty-free, regardless of the source or what they tell you, and if it IS free, sometimes people just wanna have a piece of you for shits and giggles.
I just learned it can happen again (unfortunately). Thankfully it wasn't a strike, but whenever you use free content from editing software programs (they say is free), the original artist can claim copyright in the future, thus causing a new claim to pop up. I've made double sure they say the songs were free ...and just today got a claim from a video.

If you have Twitter (I refuse to), contact @TeamTH-cam. BTW, there is an appeal section for counter copyright claims where you need to show the url of your vid, as well as the url of the pirate's vid..That works.

Yes this happened to me. I made a reaction video and I saw that there was a lot of people reacting to it so I did it too. For the other channels they didn't receive any copyright claim but when I posted mine after 20 mins I've received a claim. Then after I had to delete it or it will become a copyright strike.

Is it a false claim or a legitimate one? Even if you do use copyrighted music, people who don't own it can still claim on it....if you can prove to them that they don't own it, they should remove the claim. But it's a risky move, they can easily deny it and the claim stays up. If you have a second failed appeal then that leads to a strike I think. Or you could try to argue fair use.
I've used creative commons music that says in the licence that I can use in monetised videos, and even they still get fake claims. Hell sometimes I get claims for music that isn't even in the video. Even worse, sometimes sound effects trigger it.

I don't have any videos with copyrighted content, but I noticed a lot of mistakes on other videos. One problem I noticed is when the video has the original content e.g. a video from a children music school with children playing classical music on various instruments. I noticed that TH-cam marked a couple of pieces from Tchaikovsky's The Seasons as recordings by famous pianists. Obviously, kids would be flattered that their playing of Tchaikovsky was compared to that of legendary concert pianists, but it probably hurts the video author which is a children music school in another country. I don't think they noticed or know what to do. I also noticed a couple of videos of full ballet and opera performances with an orchestra of the theater playing the music. Various parts of music of a full performance were marked as copyright belonging to somebody else, someone other than the actual orchestra playing. I also noticed some good copyright claims e.g. when the video author deliberately used the name of a famous singer as a clickbait on a video of another, less famous, singer. TH-cam correctly added the correct singer's name. So, in some cases it works, but often, especially with original content matching the title, it doesn't.
When I was making my longer form videos. On occasion, I would have a couple get immediately hit with copywrite claims right out of the box while scheduled for release at a later date. Obviously, posting a new video every day, I noticed this new feature and am very grateful for it so I can go back and change the music (usually the issue) before it's live.
Can you still monetize the video if it says the artist allows the music on TH-cam ? And if it doesn't effect the channel
I have uploaded videos which have birdsong from my own back garden and TH-cam is marking them as having copyright claims with some Sony owned recordings. This is stupid, as sounds of nature should not be copyrighted. How is a bird to know that Sony has copyrighted its song? This really isn't right! I sent off a dispute about it but they are upholding their copyright. This has affected half of my videos now.
I used to use an intro I made that had a copyrighted song in it, but only like 25% of the videos with it got a copyright claim

I get multiple copyright claims all the time because I do cover songs and I turn the cover songs into crazy music videos so not only am I covering the song and doing it my own way but I'm also making my own music videos for it which have nothing to do with the originals so I try to go as custom as possible so I don't get copyright hit but of course no matter what I do they always come after me same goes for other things like people claim that there's music that's non-copyright and you can use for background music that's always a lie I've been hit for with that multiple times just doing reaction videos where I literally take the audio out and cut it to pieces or cut the video I'm reacting to to pieces it doesn't even matter TH-cam has gotten out of hand with their copyright stuff and in the worst part about all of it is I'm not even monetized so I'm not even making a single penny off of anything so it's not like I'm making money off somebody else's work or something which I wouldn't be in the first place but it just irritates me that no matter what people can just stick your hands in the pot that's completely empty

I've been uploading videos onto TH-cam since about 2018 and so far I've uploaded around 150. Most are me performing covers of well known songs, but a few are me performing my own or a friend's original songs. As far as I can recall, for all of that time the uploader automatically performed copyright checks and if it was free of copyright it told me so. If a copyright existed it invariably said the following: “Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on TH-cam.” I have then proceeded to upload the video safe in the knowledge that I wouldn't receive the dreaded STRIKE 1. Wrong!!!! Yesterday, out of the blue, I received Strike 1 for a song by The Eagles "Best of your Love" which I uploaded in 2020, so that video has now been deleted. My point is that, when I originally uploaded the song TH-cam told me that the owner had given me permission to use the video on TH-cam. I have no problem with the copyright laws (although I have always thought refusing permission for covers to be short sighted) and, even though TH-cam have given me permission to upload it, I recognise the copyright holder's absolute right to change their mind and have the video pulled. But what incenses me is that I now have to go to "copyright school" so that TH-cam can patronise me some more! And if I get another two strikes within 90 days TH-cam will take down all of my perfectly legal content and expel me from TH-cam. "Sledgehammer to crack a nut" and "small minded arse covering" is what springs to mind.

I posted a song using loops from Soundtrap, and that was 7 months ago, I just went back and looked at it to see it was copyrighted, but the song that it got copyrighted from was only posted 2 months ago. I was almost completely finished with an amv I've been working on for a really long time, and I uploaded a wip to yt just for it to get blocked worldwide because the song I was using was copyrighted. I can't replace the song because of timing and how I tried my best to make everything fit perfect. I don't care about making profit, I just want others to see it. And while I could always just upload it on discord, I don't have nitro so I'd have to really compress the video which could alter the quality. Plus it's about something that none of my friends really care about, so I wouldn't be bale to get it out to the right people unless there's a subreddit for it or something.
Here's a question you may want to do a video on because I haven't seen one. I had a video opening which, I GUESS, had music in it that was not copyright claimed music, I used that opening in many videos over the course of a year or a little more...always with no copyright claim. THEN, recently...that Opening (or part of it, anyway) was flagged as copyright claim content on the NEW videos with the opening...but, still, nothing happened with the previous videos. Maybe the content BECAME copyright claimed? Anyway...I have since made a new video opening. But, my questions are (a.) IF I were to want to monetize, would TH-cam flag those other videos that formerly had no claim for that opening (in an in depth review of my videos to determine whether or not I can monetize) OR (b.) are those probably OK since they were produced and uploaded prior to there being a copyright claim against them? It would be a PAIN to have to go back and update every video that had the old opening in it. Luckily for me it wasn't EVERY video I did over that time period. But it was quite a lot of them.

Thanks man, it really helps me on what's the main difference between Copyright Claims, Copyright Protect, and copyright strick the one what i'm trying to avoid in limited restrictions and productive entertainment submission. Usually I copy songs, music videos, professional conserts, films, and/or movies from prostylers, professioners, musical artist, musical bands,professional group, actors, actresses, enven others. I usually prove my own convenient content in maintain the difference between doing my own foundation of music, songs, musical videos, inverviews, reviews, productive sceens, and films in the right dailiy basis so that when it comes to my own professional contents and musical foundation, nothing is impossible to creat many presentation to the public entertainment offical broadcast station.
This issue is the bane of my channel at the mo. I have a British travel and culture channel, and I just did my FIRST EVER reaction video. I instantly got 4 copyright claims. I disputed all of them, but only 1 was resolved. That stinks, because the video is very long and has TONS of views.... way more than usual for me.
This happened because I reviewed Christmas ads... to get genuine reactions, I had not seen the ads before. Little did I know 3 of them would have very famous copyright songs! I have learnt a painful lesson :-(

Soo true, Not too long ago I started a channel where I was posting some gaming vidoes, but recently from a gameplay I received a copyright claim from a kid's video. That video is just a minute long yet my entire 18 minutes of gameplay got copyright claim. I swear in the name of God that I never used his audio yet TH-cam algorithm somehow detected it as a copyright. The irony part in the video is that, when I disputed with the copyright claimer, he rejected; now TH-cam wants me to Appel with the claimer but I am sure he will reject it too, and will give him a chance to request to remove my video and give a copyright strike to my channel. I don't know what to do ☹️

Two of my videos got taken down for no reason by two people. One was because we both used a free countdown video in our videos even though the other person didn't own it and we both got it off someone else's channel (They were letting people take the videos) and the other is because no reason. I checked the video and NOTHING in it is copyright.
My story: I am a artist also a GoAnimator. One day, I uploaded a video, which took me 2 weeks to make. It was nothing wrong at first. But 3 days later, this video got copyrights claim! The song I used is called Morning Glory, which was included in GoAnimate/Vyond. That song was copyright protected. It's a little awkward. I wonder why some songs from online animated video maker got protected, causing some GoAnimators cannot revenue from their video.

TH-cam needs a little adjustment with Checks setting ! Every other video is copyrighted so you guys need to make it more better that people can use same videos in different methods! Only mute or Playing a different music is not an option. Sometimes videos can’t be replaced by different music coz there is talking going on in the video! And can’t be muted coz it’s important for listeners 😢

TH-cam’s copyright check is INACCURATE and it annoys the hell out of me. It used a awesome royalty free OST and some traditional cultural arab music creator used that same track when he opened his show. He has NO rights to the song. But youtube counted it as part of his song.
I hate this so much, incredibly unfair.

I got a claim 3 years after I uploaded the Video i.e. Today! The claim is on the video footage though. Video has 500k views by this time and this is when they decided to copyright it! No more money from this video but the system is broken if you can get a claim 3 years later!

Someting to note: You can actually contact the copyright owner of a copyright music and ask for permission to use the copyright-protected content with valid reasoning. It's kinda like disputing a copyright claim, except you're doing it before you even start uploading the video.
