I couldn't help noticing that you wear roller-shorts and I'm so pleased!!!! Just purchased roller-shorts myself to complete my skating armour^^ but I do believe it is a confidence booster! Thank you for sharing your journey, you're doing so great!
I dont know if it would take 30 days but for me it took around 5-7 days to move smoothly without fear of falling. Learning tricks on skates can take longer time.
The moment I got bubbles that was the moment I understood edges and how I was rolling forward or backwards they really should teach that after safety, balance then edges
I am learning to roller skate off and on. Well seeing this video made me more determined to learn. I can go forwards, but I am terrible at going back and stopping. Incredible that you didn't fall. Thanks for the inspiration my friend!
I just got my skates a few weeks ago and i've been practicing, for whatever reason im so much better at going backwards compared to going forwards 😅 I live in sydney too so hoping for days where its not raining so I can go outside
So happy to hear! All the best with your skate journey… perhaps when you’re going backwards you’re leaning more forwards which means the pressure is on the front of your foot which helps you to go backwards 😊
I switched from Impalas to Chuffed as they’re a better quality skate. I found my skating improved after changing the skates and they’re also way more comfortable 😊
day 1 i can say she is very scared and trying to hide it like i looked like a penguin on my frist day and sometimes i still forget how to skate and look like a penguin and then oh i can skate and start skating normally
Hi Ebony, which way are you falling? Forwards or backwards? You want to try and avoid to fall backwards as that’s very dangerous. Try bending your knees (lot), keep your core tight and look forward. Shift your weight from side to side 😊
o---k, I myself always wanted to learn how to roller skate, & today is my very first time deciding to search TH-cam app for > Roller Skate Lessons For Beginners, & l must say after watching 1video & this video for my first time, the person in this video attempting to teach the person how to roller-skate did not instruct the person on > the basic of how to position the beginner roller skater body from head to toe, which is > drop body down in a semi seated position with legs bent at the knees & feet in a "V' shape with heels together & toes apart, chin up,chest out (not naked chest), center core=belly tucked in tight with shoulders straight, arms slightly out to the side with palms facing downward, & shift bodyweight to the left with left knee over left skate toe then shift bodyweight to the right with right knee over right skate toe & repeat shifting bodyweight left-right left-right left-right. & Also the person attempting to teach this person how to roller-skate did not inform the person wanting to learn how to skate > the feet automatically knows how to walk & using the feet for walking "is not" a technique for using the feet for learning how to roller skate, therefore, the feet must be trained to be position in a 'V" shape while "shifting" of the bodyweight left-right left-right left-right that allows the roller skate wheels to roll & drive forward, & to skate backwards the "V' shape of the feet > toes together & heels apart shift bodyweight left-right left-right left-right & all other etc's...o--k, & even though I have never roller before & only viewed 1 video & this video > Skate Lessons For Beginners, to me, it's Elementary for anyone wanting to learn how to roller-skate > view several videos titled > Roller Skate Lessons For Beginners...P.S. surely there are other roller skate lessons for beginners on > how to crossover on roller skated > how to make turns on roller skated > how to stop on roller skates.
Im starting to learn myself and im glad I can see someone else start from scratch, this will really help out
Thanks for your message! Wish you all the best with your skate journey 💛

yes
Why did you change your skates? Is there a pair that is better?
I upgraded my skates after the first week. You can definitely feel the difference from Impalas to more expensive skates.
Hi, where do you learn to skates normally and any place nice to practicing in Sydney? Just gonna start learning😋
Try looking for local basket ball courts. Also around Darling harbour is nice 😊
Is there a reason you switched skates? Trying to decide what kind of skates to buy. Thanks!
I switched from Impalas to Chuffed as they’re a better quality skate. I found my skating improved after changing the skates and they’re also way more comfortable 😊
