I'm about to start college and your videos make me very excited to start in this field and gain more knowledge. Your video quality is amazing and they really help. Keep it up!
Love this, about to graduate with a degree in product design, this video is going to help me so much ! Thank you ! My school has not really helped us much with presentation skills so this is awesome!
PLEASE LEAVE A THUMBS UP! I've come back to this AMAZING presentation many time over the years. This is so valuable information. Love from Montréal, Canada
I actually believe that power symbol means it will stay in mode when "turned off". An actual on off button symbol would be a whole ring with a vertical line in the middle.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Also, I didn't realize at all that you say "umm" often, shows how forgiving the audience actually is when it comes to small mistakes or "flaws" in presentation.
Thank you for these video's. They are some of the best on youtube because they don't make industrial design out to be something it's not like pure illustration. It is a very hands on field even for me going to into transportation.
Thank you very much sir! I've told students in my University class about your videos and we all think they're a great help- very nicely done and good to re- watch when we're stressing over projects! cheers
Thanks a lot for your videos, I'm a student of product design, and your videos are helping me a lot, I watch them again and again to keep myself reminded, you're awesome
+producttank Your videos are some of the best and most detailed videos I have ever watched. I'm only 15 but I'm really inspired by your work and your ideas. I hope that some day I would be able to meet you in person. Your designs are really intricate, yet quite simple and quick which I truly admire! Keep up the good work!
Great video! though it was slightly long. I have a suggestion, can you make an episode on documentation? Because i really struggle with documenting the whole design process and i hope others also struggle with the same problem. Thank you!
i have a pruduct presetation next week and am all stressing out, i find presetations the worst, i dont like it. this video helped a lot, just like the others did, thank you so much ! (product disign first year in the netherlands)
Thank you very much for your advice's! I really like the fact you explain everything in detail the mistakes and the advantages of the presentation! Keep going you are doing great job!
I cannot wait for the next episode. I really want to know about applying for product design job portfolios. I'm currently doing and internship but have been rejected by many and I think it's my presentation skills. My university never taught us presentation skills so I am very confused.
Hey PT, i hugely enjoy your content and as a product design student, it would really help if you could make a video on how to edit product design drawings on Affinity Photo. Thanks
Hi Max B - The videos took a lot of putting together and I bought a house that needed a huge amount of work and to keep costs down I had to do the work myself. It was too much to work full time, renovate every other hour available and keep up the video's, something had to give. I've written two whole new series, I just have to find time to film and edit them.
Hi PT, I've learnt a lot from your videos. Thank you for being regular and making the videos. Where did you study and what course did you pursue? Please give me details. I've been looking for a short term design course (especially in furniture design) and am struggling. Any kind of help would be great!
Hi Dharini, I studied at Plymouth university in the UK. My course was BA Hons in 3D product design. I haven't seen any short term courses in furniture design. Perhaps you could find furniture builders near you and propose a trade, ask if they would teach you a few things for a few hours if you helped them do some admin or clean up for a few hours. PT
Hi Claus, thanks for all your comments? The 'hopefully' is a slight error. The presentation I gave was created without deep research or prototype testing (it took long enough as it was), just to demonstrate how to put together a presentation for the purposes of the video, it wasn't to show brilliant pizza cutters. The whole presentation was given from memory and using the boards as prompts, there wasn't any presentation cards or notes anywhere, so some words sneaked in as the prototype wasn't made in the actual materials. Hopefully if made in steel and tested on a pizza with extra toppings it would work well which I would have done if this was a real presentation. This explanation was longer than I thought. I hope it makes sense. All the best. PT
+producttank I perfectly understand, PT. I was just pointing out that saying "hopefully" on a design presentation seems like a big mistake to me and would evoke some serious questions in your audience (namely Pete and co). In any case, this series of videos is a huge help to me and most likely a ton of other design students. I already referred most of my friends from class to your channel and hope you continue your charity. Happy New Year! Claus.
PT cool video learned a lot from your mockup process and the pizza models were very cute and appealing, thanks a lot! Is it possible to contact you producttank via any social media or gmail to ask few doubts? your big fan from India!
This series needs a comeback. More detail, incorporation of new design methods and skills. Excited for it all
This series is literally an entire 4 year degree and still hold up in 2021

quality content...
The designing is nice. I don't understand the locking mechanism in the rocket cutter. It will be good if you explain it.
Brilliant thanks, that torch design would make a great kitchen tap design. 🤷🏾♀️IMO
Thank you very much for your advice's!
I really like the fact you explain everything in detail the mistakes and the advantages of the presentation!
Keep going you are doing great job!
Very good content and well presented. Thanks a lot, you are helping me be a better designer. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for all the tips, this will make my design presentations strong. because my talking is my weak spot in the presentation!
I cannot wait for the next episode. I really want to know about applying for product design job portfolios. I'm currently doing and internship but have been rejected by many and I think it's my presentation skills. My university never taught us presentation skills so I am very confused.

Okay, now you piqued my interest: Fav Rugby team(s)? You could've said football, but rugby is a better game in my opinion ;-)
This all is sooo true! And I am trying to figure this out in my channel. I have a lot to learn, but i am still a student **) Thumbs up!
Your videos are amazing!! You give us so much information... Thank you very much. Keep it up!

Hey I really like your videos. Thanks a lot! Why did you stop producing more videos and blog posts?

+producttank Thanks PT, I'll try that.
thanks for helpfull tips, you are great!!!
Really nice video!
Love your videos! Would you mind to tell me what a brief is? I'm a spanish speaker, so I don't know what brief means in the world of design. Thanks!
Hi Fernando, the brief is the description of what the client wants from the project, it is a bit like a contract. PT

"What do you mean, 'hopefully'? Did you not research the functionality of your design?"
- Pete

hi, you are a nice designer?
You have a bit too much head room in your videos. Your eyes should be around the top line of the rule of thirds. See this image: goo.gl/images/xxpCbQ
Oh, also thank you so much! These videos are super helpful!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I don't think your wife is going to buy that sharp knife for your kids, I'm sorry, you failed your presentation. :(
thank you
