Hi, I found my real passion is industrial design,I have a good interest in Mathematics and s Spacial awareness, can you help me how to reach this job as I am 34 year old and there is no nearby classes, could I study online,or could I work in an office directly for practice after that if they like I will geta permanent job
Super interesting. Can't wait to get a little workshop setup like that at Mayku. Also, huge fan of sketching early on in the design process - we did a lot of this in the developmnet of the FormBox.
Very good products. It is an inspiration video to the beginner designers like us. Hope that you success in your products. Hope to make more like inspirational videos for us.
Is this a course in LinkedIn Learning? If not, can anyone advice me how to start a career in industrial design Btw I have studied electrical engineering and dedicated in Industrial Automation, Looking to shift to the Design part that including CNC ...etc
hours of looking and i know this is what i want. I graduated with a business marketing after being talked out of architecture. Ill never play it safe again. This is what i want. Any advice on how to go this route from my position?
You could join a design school. Mainly what companies look at is your portfolio. So if you can learn the design process and try to understand 'design thinking' you can ( maybe learn a few software , it's a always a plus , but not a criteria). If you enjoy doing it , the learning won't be a trouble. Good luck.
I am Industrial designer. Yeah, Industrial design is one among the fancy professions. To become a successful Industrial designer you should have the following skills , skills maybe a nightmare for people who are willing to switch professions. 1. Sketching (th-cam.com/video/gZ3-4bx5Y4g/w-d-xo.html) 2. 3d modelling Software skills such as Solid works, Rhinoceros (th-cam.com/video/BuBSpBmoFL4/w-d-xo.html) 3. Adobe packages(Illustrator or corel draw,Photoshop, indesign) 4. Material knowledge (Belive me it's an ocean) 5. Most importantly you need to the skills to provide product based solutions. Good luck..
Your work is amazing, and the video is very inspiring. For the first time I was wondering, what is the situation with the patents associated with the products designed by the Studio? Are they owned by the Studio, or by the Client requesting the work? Do you share the ownership?
Edwin A. Hernández-Caraballo it all comes down to contractual agreements. The client will usually own all rights. Often the process like the one in the video is also top secret and not for publication. As it may contain ideas and innovations with the potential of a new patent later on. If there are patents involved the designer/ firm will likely be credited by name, but the registry is done in the clients name as they paid for the time it was created.
Prime Studio may want to run their designers through a shop safety refresher course. Look how high the band saw blade is at 3:32 😬 I hope everyone is safe and with all their fingers!
anyone know the name of program that they are using to create the product and rendering them. plss tell me, i am using rhino but it is not quick and convenient. should i change?
316/5000 Receive my congratulations. Your designs are a beautiful job. I want to ask about the end of the life cycle of the objects. The design process contemplates a study about what happens after the useful life of the objects? How are the concepts of waste, and environmental pollution studied?
Pablo Rafael Játiva it is heavily emphasized in school, but in the real world the money decides. If sustainability can be used as branding, then it may be worth looking in to.

honestly speaking...designers nowadays...don't have their own taste...either they copy some great designers like Luigi Colani, Dieter Rams and strive to be a great designers or they end up designing the shit under the ridiculous deadline and pressure of management team .
“We don’t have a house style. We design to the need of the brand.” This is why the market is full of garbage products that are not used for a long time.
This is a major I wished I had discovered before spending 4 years with engineering. Definitely something I'll be pursing while working.
Does the engineering that u studied help in this?
That’s my dream. I want to be part of a great design team
Me too
Me too 💫
I already am :)

@@sibisanjay excuse me, what is material knowledge? are you referring to physical materials to use in the design?
@@davidbasset7557 yes, you need to know which material is perfect for which product, you need to be specific.
I'm perfect
