Clarification and Understanding Color of Teal Sapphires
There are lot of videos on youtube misleading buyers of teal colored sapphires or sapphire jewelry telling them the color of teal sapphires which are actually misleading. Please be cautious and educate yourself before buying a gemstone or jewelry.
In this video we will compare different color of Natural Teal sapphires like Greenish Blue, Green-Blue, Bluish Green and even see side by side comparision. (What is teal? / What is teal sapphire?)
Teal sapphires has to have a mix of green and blue colors together to be called a Teal Sapphire. There can be variations of amount of green and blue like
1. A sapphire might have 30% green and 70% blue (this may be classified as a teal if there isn't any other 3rd color together)
2. A sapphire might have 75% green and 25% blue (this may be classified as a teal if there isn't any other 3rd color together)
A sapphire might have 5% green and 95% blue or vice versa- this will not be classified as a teal color sapphire, if both the colors are not obvious to the eyes.
Always look your sapphire in a neutral lighting (5000-6000K) to judge the color (unless its a color changing gemstone).

5:05 Some years ago, I actually bought a ring with green sapphires in it, but I gave it away to my mother becoz when she saw it on my finger, she liked it so much, so I gave it to her to make her happy.. Anyways, I will just get another one someday hahahaha lol 😂😂😂..
