Ok - I can't really see why one would replace the HID with LED as the HID has a far superior light than a dinky LED. And if one wished a cooler whiter HID those are available.
@@maxl7827 it does not matter how outdated you believe it to be. Retrofit of anything is not an option if the it goes against rules/laws, and is on top of that not a viable option as the reflector is not built to take advantage of the new light source.
So... I guess we need to talk about physics. A light source regardless of its design will need a reflector. And the reflector here is built for an omnidirectional light source - which a LED array for the most part is not.
@@zk.dailybuild wow, didnt know about this, thank you so much, so basically all LED will work, otherwise I was looking for the Bi-LED and was weird not to find one :)
Nice explanation. Just one question that makes me very curious. Is it possible to put LED bulbs with more watts in a 35w standard ballasts without any kind of problems?
I guess it just gets the 12v power from the ballast. After I uploaded this video, I replaced these led bulbs with aukee 50w led. They are even more brighter and I have no issues with them. Running them for the past 8 months.
For me, the Led turned out with better wide viability. I replaced these Led with Aukee 50w led and they are much better. Running them for the past 8 months, and there are no issues at all.
No issues at all. I retuned these ones after a week of using and found another set of bulbs which are brighter than these ones. Had them for very long time now and daily drive my car . It improved the visibility for me.
HID is extremely yellow in real life. The camera makes the HID look the same as LED. You need to change the white balance on the camera to match real life
The balast for the HID delivers a higher voltage Where as the driver for the LED delivers 12v I use the Philips high end LED for the high and low beam The light output and the beam pattern are amazing.
Not sure about the other people experiences but for me it improved the lighting and are working great. By the way I had to return these bulbs and got the other brand with more brightness.
The HID looks better and brighter, you need to retrofit a led projector to get better rest
ALL hid's have a projector:/
@@cernobylis That's wrong. Plenty of cars come with reflector-HID from factory.

Xenon is outdated technology

Hi, is there any way to upgrade X3 F25 (2017) halogen lights to xenon or LED? any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks
A fantastic upgrade 👏💪👋
Will the LED bulbs work if you have a bad ballast?my HID bulb won't work because the ballast is blown
It wont work...
Thank you for the good video, it was helpful
Does it need Bi-LED? as I know the same bulb is used for Low and High beam?
No D1S is the bulb type.
For high and low the mechanism inside the headlight assembly moves to make it high and low, instead of using separate bulbs.

You can skip the ballast and wire it directly
Ты с Али покупал
Where is the link to purchase these lights
Does the led bulb work without the HID ballast ?
No these works with ballast.
Keep it up bro!
Thanks

I replaced these Led with Aukee 50w led . They are much better. Running them for past 8 months.
Link to your purchase. Or manufacturer info
HIDs will shine further down the road that’s the reason for the smaller hotspot
Are there any errors after changing the bulbs? Also is it a problem for the adaptive high beams?
No errors at all.
What’s brighter the HID or the LED?

My lamps are starting and turning off after 3 seconds, what could be the problem?
Your xenon bulds or Ballast is gone bad.
Some people they do it without ballast bay pass it its more saver
You didn't disconnect or bypass the Xenon balast? I think that may be dangerous.
It is meant to be used that way.

@@Buzzvlogs321 high starting voltage from the ballast is true for D2, but not for D1. They have the starter build in the square lampbase.
👍👍
I prefer HID its better vision / looking .. LED I see it very random
After 10-15 minutes LEDs dim down substantially compared to HIDs, there isn’t even a comparison imo
I replaced this one with Aukee 50w led 8 months ago.
For me, led seems to have better wide viability.
Get the Philips high end one
Forget dimming in 15 minutes
It will not get dim for years to come.
Trust me
@Buzzvlogs321 which philips model?
Escalade u need a new housing
Why new housing? This housing is perfectly fine.
