All the failures and problems with resin casting can be really discouraging, but its so satisfying to see you finally get it dialed in and have everything work exactly according to plan for the resin and wood. I love when expertise and planning turn into pain-free process. That curly maple is excellent. Beautiful sculpture, flawless execution. Great job.
imho this is probably your most beautiful work up to now. it looks amazing, the details, the sparkling, and the root as a stand leviates this to another level
This has to be one of my favorites so far. The metal fleck, the colors you choose for your laminates and the fins! The sum is greater than the parts. It is incredible.
Blake these things just keep getting more beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Side note - I really appreciate that you show your learning curve. Seeing that people producing incredible work like this are also still learning and making mistakes is very encouraging.
The change in jaw actually made it look better because of where the wood pops out with a deeper jaw curve. Those thin fins were nerve-wracking with how easy they could be damaged with a mistake but you managed 😂. The lovely base of wood really made the piece stand out, I was considering how you’d mount it as it’s such a unique shape.
@@BMSculpturesu r a great artist. I was thinking about the eyes. Obviously, the eyes r the focal point of any piece. U were wise to de accentuate the eyes. The lines of the fish 🐠 tell the story, along with the background.
You're a genius. Using water to test for leaks, using a winch to lift the thing... there's SO MANY resin workers and hobbyists that need to learn your lessons.
Looks incredible as always. I love that you try to get the little bits of detail in there too. I think the glitter works well for this fish but I hope you don't use it too often as one of the things I really admire about your sculptures is how clear they are. There's something almost magical about seeing a beautifully sculpted animal and yet you can see right through it to the wood. However, for this fish it really works and adds the water effect.
You had me memorized from start to finish, and the final reveal took my breath away. The maple reflected in the convex top half of the body is so perfect, brilliant choice. This is such a stunning piece of art
your work with epoxy gets better and better every single sculpture! This trout looks amazing, what stunning natural wood colors combined with an untouched, wild piece of wood for the backdrop. You did amazing, can't wait to see what you do next.
Woah! I'm so proud of your hard work and will always thank you for sharing your talent with us all! Beautiful job! I really hope whomever requested this beautiful piece enjoys it and shares it with any and everyone who visits them!
Definitely the best I have seen so far, and so far I think they have all been brilliant. I love the wave action on curly maple. I try to use it any time I can on my wood working projects. Awesome. Still waiting for the giraffe.
Perfect.I am from Iran. I have a wood and resin workshop like yours, but for some time I had a mental problem and closed the workshop, but after watching your clip, my passion for wood and resin revived, thank you bro
Just found your channel today. I’d say your artwork is right at the best I’ve ever seen on TH-cam! The potential for screwing up days of work would be terrifying to me and makes the finished product that much more impressive! Thanks for sharing it!
This is absolutely magnificent! So far it's my favorite piece! But I don't know how you can make anything more beautiful than the pieces I've already seen. Your work leaves me mesmerized every time!💥❤
Female trout do not have a kype. Two to four weeks before spawning, male trout undergo physical changes that include developing a kype. Farm raised trout are harvested before they can develop a kype. I still like your sculpture even though the mouth is undersized for a fish that has a kype. Kype😀
This is 100% correct. Males develop a kype females do not. It has zero to do with being a hatchery fish. Your brother gave you incorrect information. Methinks he needs to do a little homework before making such a claim. I’m sure he is a great guy, but in this case, his statement was/is false.
Outstanding. I love rainbow trout. And you are so modest. A sign of a great artist. I'm sure your client will be more than happy. Thank you so much for sharing your process. 🎨❤
Great Job! As a fellow carver (chainsaw carver that is), I sure can appreciate that someone else is putting in the time to perfect their projects. You have also inspired me to try to chainsaw carve epoxy. Watching the chainsaw work on your videos has giving me some good ideas. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!
Absolutely stunning! I am blown away. The effect of that curly maple cannot possibly be more perfect. It looks like the water from above reflecting light in ripples on the body of the fish. This is possibly the coolest thing I've seen on TH-cam. I was raised by a fly-fisher, on the banks of the Salmon River and this sculpture brought my soul so much joy. Thank you for sharing!
Fantasticly beutiful sculpture! You, Sir, captured the true essens of the animal. Few artist can do that in clay, a lot fewer in wood. A sculpture that will light up any home. Well done!
Awesome Piece of Work , Glad you changed the front of mouth per your brother’s advice . I was wondering at first knowing this feature growing up fishing .
Ok this is just amazing, I have no other words. I just love your work so much! I’m a high school student and for the project we’re doing in art class, I’m taking inspiration from the way you work and from your whale sculpture. I think you will help me in this journey, and I can’t wait till the next sculpture!
that higher effort mould seems like a really smart choice! reduces the cost of the resin, lowers the chance of a bad pour, and is better for the environment all in one, nice! :D also thats gotta be the funkiest looking spoon ive ever seen, i love it edit: just finished the video and wow it looks awesome!! the glitter is perfect for a fish sculpture, very reminiscent of the almost sparkly look of their scales
😮❤❤ The trout came out beautiful. You are so lucky to have a brother they can call you and tell you when you’re making a mistake on one of your carving. Just beautiful I’m new to your station and I most definitely will subscribe to see what else you come up with, thank you for being so creative😊😊😊
"Are you kidding me!?!" This is gorgeous! Oh my word!!! Amazing work my friend. Keep up the awesome videos. Have a blessed evening from Lee County, Florida
I'd like to see a breakdown of some of the tools you are using for sculpting and what each one does. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there that don't have this type of artistic ability but would like to give it a go at a much lower level...and result. Never hurts to keep busy and try new things....just for the sake of trying.

Thank you so much! I keep learning new things to better my epoxy pours. We are headed in a better direction now!
Half of this video is sucking Corperate
Any and all "would you just look at it" clips are highly appreciated.
Also the wonderful craftsmanship but also edbassmaster

I absolutely love that little tip of wood on the bottom jaw!

Wow. Just wow. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and I can smell the water and feel the breeze moving over the live fish this represents. Lovely
Your sculpture is an impressive display of talent and skill. I can tell you put a lot of heart into it 👍
Thank you!
Absolute stunning. Saying "well done" seems inadequate. Congratulations on a superb piece of work. I look forward to more videos.

I think the “tiger stripes” effect is called chatoyance. Learned it from Damascus knife makers. Looks beautiful man! Awesome work!👊🏼
Aha. Thats the word I was looking for... Appreciate it!
Interesting! i know chatoyancy from Justinthetrees, especially when he works with quaking aspen! its so beautiful!
If you like that effect you should check out a crystal/mineral called Tigers Eye.
This is probably my favorite sculpture I have seen you make. The choice of wood was fantastic! Very well done!
The good lord has definitely blessed you brother. You have the coolest job ever.
I appreciate your honesty, saying that you took longer seeing that you’re learning and making mistakes. Great insight.
a 20 minute video really deserves to show off more of this beautiful finished product!
Adding the black dots really made the piece pop.

Bro you're a REAL wood worker, maybe not a gray Bush but absolutely 100% REAL!
make a sea horse
That would be cool!
loco don’t say that as a statement, say that as a question
My God that's amazingly beautiful!! First time "catching" a video of yours as well!!
The tiger stripes on curly maple look like what Germans call “pregnancy stripes” or stretch marks.
Lmao
Dude, I don’t even have words. You are a damn magician
haha Thanks dude- now lets translate that to the pool table huh?!

Awesome work. Just interested, it weighed 87 pounds before carving. What did it end up weighing after carving? My guess is around 30 lbs.
Good guess. I didnt weigh it, but I would say 40-50 lbs.
the choice for the top layer of wood was right on. It gives it more depth and movement. Bravo.
Thanks!
