Hi, thanks for great review. Somewhat old video but still interesting :) I'm a pro user of LT /PSD since forever, but I swithed to Linux desktop a while ago, this peace ofd software is fantastic, exactly what I'm been looking for. It have of course some shortcomming compared to Adobe, and it's always a learning process to start with new software but so far I'm so happy! Seems to be good enough for most of my work. Works on Linux without problems for me, on nVidia desktop PC and Manjaro distro...
Hi jCristina, I enjoy watching all your video and I have learn alot from you video too. I wanted to ask you what is best video editing software that I should get, I have done some video editing but need to find one that I can use on all my devices, I own a Mac desktop, macbook pro, I have been looking but confuse on what I should start off with. Maybe a free video editing I see so many but though you can give me a better insight. Thank for you help in advance Jim
+Jim Rodriguez Hi Jim. Thanks for the question. The easy answer would be to use iMovie first and then pick up a copy of Final Cut X when the additional functionality is required. Both are great. If you have $40-$50 per month I'd recommend Adobe Premiere Pro. Hope that helps.
Thank you. I hate subscribing, a true hostage situation. I had all of my camera stolen a month ago along with my 2 external (4 & 5) terabyte backups. I still have some photos left, so the software interests me. Great video, I'll definitely watch more. Still deciding whether to carry on, quite a devastating loss. I initially found your videos for the camera info. My Canon 7D and my Canon Mark II 5D were stolen, so I am out for now. Peace and thanks. Gave your video a promo on my Twitter.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you bounce back quickly. Like you, so many photographers have been asking for a photo editor that they don't have to pay monthly for and really does a good job. This one is one of the best I've found so far. Thanks for the Twitter promo, it's truly appreciate Jan and thank you for adding to the conversation!!
Interesting A.J. I honestly I do not know if they are in any way related. It's been many years since I checked out Bibble. Give the AfterShot a look see, it's FREE ($40/value) and let us know how it compares to what you are currently using.. Thanks for contributing to the conversation!
JCristina - I looked up Bibble Labs and they were bought by Corel in (I believe) 2010. So the resemblance to Bibble is not coincidence. Apparently I have to wait a number of days for an email response from Corel for a link to the d/l site.
Hang in there. It might be the number of people grabbing a copy as it is the full version and licensed to you. You own it. NOT a trial version. Looking forward to your thoughts once you receive it. Thanks again A.J.
After about five days I got the link from Corel and I was able to download and install it and play a bit. Initial impression is that for the money (standard and pro version) it is quite good. It does not really compare to software like Capture One Pro or Lightroom in terms of features, rendering quality, or cost but it does compare well to something like the defunct Google Picasa. Pluses are that: Workflow is simple and well organized. Image organization is logical and easy to work with. Good image categorization tools. [Sony] RAW files are read and there are various camera profiles available (Sony a6000 in my case). Lens profiles (except for Sony). Standard image manipulation controls are there and work. There is a layer feature. Workable retouching and blemish tools. Integrates well with other editors like Photoshop within the workflow. It seems that settings can be replicated across pictures. It can be extended with plugins, and some free and for pay are available. It looks like it might do HDR, clarity, and HDR stacking in the Pro version but I did not investigate that. Price is certainly right at $20 for the standard version and ($79/$54 discounted) for the Pro version, with no subscription. You pay for a version update, but not updates within a version. Minus are: Edit rendering is not particularly pleasing to the eye. Output rendering could be much better. That last one is a deal breaker for me. The software is also somewhat unstable. It crashes more than it should. I don't think it's really fair to expect this from $20 software though. Capture One Pro one time purchase is $300. For many, this would be a great image manager/ post-processor. Semi-pros and pros will probably find it lacking in some regard. I'm sure if one were to work with it for awhile, results could be very good. If I'm wrong on any of these points, please let me know and I will correct. Good find and thanks for the promo from Corel! This is a really good value!
Hi Jason, I try to get the free software from Corel but after going to the link I'm getting this message. Thank you for registering for your free copy of AfterShot 3. You will receive an email from the AfterShot team, complete with download instructions, in the next 10 business days. Remember, you can upgrade to AfterShot Pro 3 for 50% off the standard retail price, right from within your AfterShot software. So I have to wait 10Days?
Do you know if the offer is still valid? I clicked the link and got the page Jean-Michel describes and the message but it's been 2 weeks and no email. Thanks.

Thanks Jean-Michel for sharing! I'm a fan of high-contrast B&W's. Most of my gallery showing and fineart sales are 40x60 chemical prints (Black/White) Thanks again for adding to the conversation!

Aftershot seems remarkably like Bibble 5, which I still use. Did Corel buy Bibble Labs?

Can you Help get best setting for D750
We currently do not have a D750 in studio to be able to work within Jeyendran. Sorry, but thank you for your comment.
