I've played in sides where the age range was 11 to 79. But I love the game and I love the way you guys play it. If I didn't live 400 miles away from Sanderstead I'd be down like a shot asking for a place in any of your teams. Keep on posting these super videos and keep on enjoying the game.
I live in New Zealand and stumbled on this channel postings etc.I ended our 18/19 season with a broken arm playing cricket. First game in 19/20 season I fractured leg playing cricket. When the covid 19 shit fight ends would love to come over and play for the Sunday XI or try to push into the 5th XI

So many great moments in this game. "There's a lot going on here, not much of it cricket", Palfers exuberant reaction to his stumping, "Deadman walking", "we'll get to the Pilgrim earlier than usual". I could go on. After a tough day this was the perfect pick me up.

Dan when you said “village” after the keeper dropped a dolly it reminded me of a Sunday game me and our overseas West Indian were injured so didn’t play on Saturday the league match (we weren’t allowed to bowl just bat)but played for our farsley 3rd X1 in a cup game, we were 77-9 when me and our overseas got together he made 176* at no 10 and I hit 88* at 11 we ended up with 349-9 .. subsequently we were fined by the committee,our chairman Ray Illingworth tho was impressed with our 270 partnership..ex Bradford league player, love the content you produce dan
Wow, that’s a partnership! Illy himself was involved in a (then) record 10th wicket partnership (228) with Ken Higgs for Leicestershire in 1977 - I was there!
yes he was a tough chairman and when i was there we had a budget of around £900 per match for paying players and ashley metcalfe was on about £350, abate he was his son in law.. i was on around £1 per run and £7 a wicket so i earned a few bob, shame now im too unwell to play but i played at a good level over 30 years.. great content dan, cheers you up in lockdown or part lockdown.. @@SandersteadCCTV

@@SandersteadCCTV I was playing in a match at Tonbridge once when a blatant run out wasn't given. Our square leg umpire was lighting a cigarette and had turned away from the breeze so his match wouldn't blow out, just at the critical moment. Amazingly, despite being at least a yard out, the batsman didn't walk!
While I would never turn against Allen D...our favourite commentator. I suggest a ´fine every time we catch the Brian Johnson of village cricket scoffing a scotch egg while commentating.´😉🙏😜
