When I first saw the square leg umpire on his seat I giggled....but really we all have to appreciate the dedication of these chaps who turn out, for no more than a few quid and free tea, just because they love the game. And for games that, even at a local level, don't really matter....bravo I say. Bravo!!!

Nice to watch some more cricket, played a couple of first-team t20's yesterday. Got hammered both games but did score my first two ever boundaries so every cloud does have a silver lining.
It was set perfectly for Del's final over heroics.....alas, I think we all knew it was gonna that exact shot! I seriously could watch this channel all day long...in fact I nearly have! Absolutely hilarious stuff! 🤣

Cracking game. Sanderstead’s use of the slow, short, wide, leg side bowling attack a tad unlucky not to yield fewer runs. Not sure that this particular game even reached village level, unless we are talking village panto with Del playing Widow Twanky and Matt Harris the pantomime fielding horse.

Y'know, Lucy looks as threatening as a bowl of trifle in her delivery, but christ on a bicycle, when she gets it right she gets the sort of flight and dip that would make top-tier spinners weep with envy.
I used to play indoor cricket with a guy like that, couldn't catch a bus, had to physically point him in the direction of the stumps he was bowling at, his action [generously] resembled a poorly constructed grand mal seizure and yet turned the ball horizontally off the pitch - he was virtually unplayble - at least when the ball landed, that is.
I love to bat against those bowlers
