You should have mentioned we are also next to Ft Carson and you will hear the canons boom and lots of military airplanes and helicopters fly over at all hours. We also have mountain lions, bears, badgers, bull snakes and praire dogs.
Only thing good out in Pueblo West is being able to buy a house out right -that's it! The schools suck! There are very few parks The roads suck! Everything is at least 3 miles away.. So if you're from Denver and you're expecting a 7-Eleven on every street corner... Nope! The nearest 7-Eleven to Pueblo West is about 6 miles away
Really you talk about traffic you haven't been to Denver haven't have you. You're not a bad day it's not bad at all. I've been out here for about 5 years haven't seen that 1 snake or a scorpion. Yes it's a different style living out here but the views are awesome and the night skies are great people or friendly you walk around and also the walking trails and outdoor activity is great so if you don't enjoy any of these just stay or you're at really.
#1 reason I hate pueblo west is they don't have solid roads. It's been 16 years since a realtor told me that the city was going to put a concrete road down and is the only reason I bought the house I have
I made the mistake of moving to Pueblo West 4 years ago, it took a while because of the housing market going nuts but I'll finally be getting out of here next month and I can't understate just how happy that makes me. Don't make the mistake of assuming Pueblo West is nicer than Pueblo just because of the lower crime rate like I did. It is painful to live here, from the terrible drivers to the incompetent service at nearly every business. You will want to go to the southside of Pueblo for dentists, doctors and other professional services. I'm sure there are some competent professionals in Pueblo West but I wasn't able to find them. You will regularly encounter "shell people" with just nobody home behind a blank stare (not sure if it's alcohol, pills or both) but they are a regular occurrence in grocery stores, on the road and out in public in general. Our worst experience by far: One year into living in this garbage town and my wife and I encountered a man abusing his wife and children at the McDonalds off of 50 by the Safeway, nobody batted an eye! We called the cops and they did nothing! If you are considering moving here please reconsider. However, if you are an alcoholic QAnon/Trump supporter with half a brain this just might be your promise land.
