I've said this elsewhere but Wykes is great if for nothing else to give the player the confidence to get up front and personal against a boss without worrying about damage. I used Wykes to learn the patterns of a lot of bosses/marks and later come back to these bosses without it and do fine without it. But on Ultimaniac I may have to bring it back into my build rotation just to be a little safer.
yeah, like i was dodging all the gungnir with wykes and got hit when it ran out lol. i would have used the fast lightning ability for damage after each 2 swipe If it wasn't for the 9 wave of enemies before the boss.
Fun fact, if you time it right, heat wave absorbs the gungir attack. Also just a good move to have for this fight I feel tbh he does throw out a buncha magic shit
Nice run! Think I'm tackling this one next after clearing Drake's Spine in 11 attempts. Am finding that learning the bosses in FF arcade mode helps a lot, cleared Drake's Spine first attempt after taking a step back to learn movesets of bosses on FF mode. Currently uploading that run. Am dreading the Bahamut, Titan, and Typhon fights as I find the Eikon battles the hardest part of Ultimaniac mode.
typhon and garuda is by far the easiest one, i almost no hit on my first attempt on ultimaniac. but yeah to learn move it's better to play through stage replay so u can practice each boss phase as much as u want without needing to go through whole stage again. Good luck on your runs!
I honestly think there should be a time factor and additional bonus for longer combos cuz right now u can just wait and spam windup right at the start of precision window so it doesn't do damage and it still give you rainbow * after each one for 40k+ points.
I was trying for the medal of honor, did it in the stage replay in the end because I couldn't be bothered to deal with FF mode or Ultimaniac version for it (though I nearly no damaged in arcade FF mode, I got hit by the dumbest stray attacks). Basically I found that you can counter a lot of his attacks with raging fists, then you can immediately cold snap after the last hit of Raging Fists (it goes up to x30, the indicators on the right are super helpful for this kinda thing) and it freezes him immediately because it syncs up perfectly with the animation of his second strike. Just some food for thought in a future run.
@@Yeeshu Gotcha. Yeah, I basically play an hour of arcade mode whenever i get a moment to game. I find the combat extremely fun and I like to challenge myself and use a wide variety of skills on it. so I like watching random videos. I think this game is incredibly fun when it's mastered (my magic burst timing is almost perfect now and I'm way better at timing dodges now for instance so I cna get long chains going). So yeah. Hope you're enjoying whatever else you're playing until DLC hits.
I can't believe you actually cleared this on Ultimaniac difficulty. Holy shit. Truth be told, Odin made me ragequit this course so many times that I just gave up.
i played the stage replay before and cleared each boss phase without taking damage so i knew all the moves. Try to just dodge and don't attack to learn all the moves in the phase and than go to next phase without taking hit when u sure u seen it all. Game gives u checkpoint in each phase. Good luck if u try again!
I used PS past record thing for this one but i will try to record next one with elgato to see if quality any better on youtube. Just hate that audio get desynced on elgato after little bit and i will also have hear through OBS.

Go to sound settings>sound control panel (on the right hand side)>recording>right click your elgato input>properties>listen>listen to this device Not sure how your elgato will show up in the device list. I use an off brand capture card and it just shows up as “usb digital media”

i am aware. You can counter most of his magic attacks but i don't trust myself!

I'm not a fan of raging fist but good to know. I will probably play the game again when they do some content update.

nice skills. Can we turn off the HUD in order to switch off these damage numbers as these are very annoying most often during the combat.
yeah, i don't care about damage number less clutter the better but don't think there is a option at least not that I'm aware of.

@@Yeeshu not sure if its compatible with obs audio recording but you can listen to digital audio input and there will be no delay
Care explaining little more? Right now i listen through OBS preview if i use elgato and i need to refresh every 30 min or desync gets worse.
