I just finished the fight, and for that phase, dodging whenever Leviathan attacks and using counter shot, using spitfire and brimstone whenever you can, and using combos with fireball bursts was enough to do the trick. It came down to the wire though, so you'll have to be fast about it.
@Jimjim192 I think it's pretty implied that Clive died unfortunately. Between the visual metaphors with the red moon going out, Jill crying, and such. But that's what's great about the ending. You could think Clive is alive and you wouldn't be wrong. It's left ambiguous for that reason I suppose.
@reeverfalls2069 Yeah it's purely down to interpretation I'm just stating what is usually the popular opinion I personally am an optimist and think he's kicking and he's the one who wrote the book at the end of the story but again who knows
@Jimjim192 true, that's one of the cool things about the ending. You can take it either way. I'm kind of cynical so in my mind Clive dies lol. I hope he is still alive though.
I thought I wouldn’t get past P3 but through a lot of trial & error i finally did but barely.. The reason why I play RPGs in the first place is because I’m bad at racing & time trials.. I’m now stuck in what appears to be the last phase.. Gonna beat him if it kills me!!
Gotta use Spitfire immediately when the fight begins and whenever it's ready immediately, use Brimstone with good timings, and just pray lol I beat it with literally one second remaining on the countdown on FF mode.
This fight is so weird. The perception for some of Leviathans attacks (especially in the first phase) it’s so hard to tell how and when to dodge. And the water attacks in phase 4 I still can’t see WHATS hitting me and when to dodge. The water makes it confusing when he hits and when he doesn’t. Also the fights kinda a drag all around, he does the same moves over n over, your given just enough time to get in a combo, rinse repeat. I was hoping for something akin to the Omega or Titan fight
Use spitflare the second phase 3 starts. Then use wildfire to get to leviathan ASAP use brimstone and spam the Square Square Square Triangle combo. Do the same thing until the phase is done. Make sure you are using spit flare as soon as it is available. If you do that, you can use it three times
I cant beat Phase 3 and landed here because i wondered if there is a Trick. I Do 45k damage per single punch instead of 75 and even in this Video you barely break the countdown... always game over for me, what is this 😭
The water spout and the rings are actully easy to evade the water spout use sprint to get to the side of this thing and the rings jump and then sprint in the air to the point with no rings and i need to say the phase with the shield was so frickin hard
This is the worst designed fight in the game. It’s not the hard that makes it a fun challenge, it’s the hard that makes it unbearable to the point that you want to turn into Ifrit and burn down your house challenge. This is just stupid and unfun.
Just wanted to comment that it took me 9 tries for phase 3 barrier, 2 trows for phase 4, then 3 tries for that water spout bs (run to the right non stop till you see leviathan still) and then ps5 turned off because it was too HOT
So if Clive removed magic from the world at the end of the game, wouldn’t that mean the spell holding the tidal wave broke and then everyone in Mysidia died? Kinda a big plot hole I guess
I think I’m too low level. I’m level 90. Done everything in this video and can’t get it down like this. Also, my countdown starts before the one in this video.
I was lvl 90 and it took me way more tries than i even wanna think about. Here's what I did: immediately use spitflare & move in on him. Getting off as many bursts as you can is ideal (hitting square a few times and then triangle will set off the burst but it's honestly annoying cause ifrit plays like a mf dark souls character) and then you actually wanna precision dodge and let attacks almost land instead of move out of them completely so you can get that extra counter DMG in. Other than that just pray. YOU CANNOT GET HIT BY ANYTHING IT IS AN IMMEDIATE LOSS, YOU GET HIT BY ANYTHING EVEN ONCE AND YOU'VE FAILED, IT'S SO ANNOYING IDK MAYBE IM WRONG BUT LOSING PRECIOUS SECONDS TO HAVING TO GET UP AGAIN MEANS YOU'RE NOT DOING DMG. Jumping helps with mobility & makes him move just a bit faster imo or maybe it was a mental thing for me idk lol THAT'S ALL I GOT, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
I can never get through phase 3. It doesn't give you enough time at all and even when I deal constant damage and as much as I could muster, it's never enough 🥴🙄🥺
Help, why the hell can i beat him. I have done it so many times already. Every time i destroy his defense wall, he brings the tsunami out and kills me no cut scene
Thank you for this video!!! OMG that final battle was intense! And I thought when I went through the Echoes of the Fallen DLC would be hard! Now, finally I can go finish up the side quests for this DLC and go beat the main game!
Make sure to use your cooldowns as soon as they are able. Remember the combo 3x square 2x triangle. If you see „backdraft finish” after a combo you’re doing it right. More points if you do it in the air. After he pushes you away use wildfire to get back, don’t waste the precious seconds. Good luck!

Yeah same issue for me too.
Soon as the fight starts immediately use spiteflare, constantly attack and dodge. Use spiteflare anytime it’s ready to use.
@@TLiebCNV I have did this I can't use for third time I am running out of time I just use this ability for two times any help?
I just finished the fight, and for that phase, dodging whenever Leviathan attacks and using counter shot, using spitfire and brimstone whenever you can, and using combos with fireball bursts was enough to do the trick. It came down to the wire though, so you'll have to be fast about it.
Thanks bro this video helped me a lot finally beat him with 2 hp
Leviathan 🔱😌❤️
If the ending didn’t change, what happens to Shula’s village and that wave when Clive gets rid of all magic?
People just accepted that Clive was just crippled by the calcified arm and found his way back home to Jill and everyone
The wave was made entirely by magic so it goes away too
@reeverfalls2069 Yeah it's purely down to interpretation I'm just stating what is usually the popular opinion I personally am an optimist and think he's kicking and he's the one who wrote the book at the end of the story but again who knows
@Jimjim192 true, that's one of the cool things about the ending. You can take it either way. I'm kind of cynical so in my mind Clive dies lol. I hope he is still alive though.
This is already out??
Nah this footage is from the future
Such a good fight ngl took me 2 tries to figure out the dps check but other then that mechs where great
What level were you? Does it influence Ifrit damages?
No, your char stat doesn't matter in Eikon fight
I’ve been stuck on phase 3 I just can’t seem to get my big attacks changed when I need them. Any suggestions?
use all rings of timely whatever... they helped me a lot!!!
I thought I wouldn’t get past P3 but through a lot of trial & error i finally did but barely..
The reason why I play RPGs in the first place is because I’m bad at racing & time trials.. I’m now stuck in what appears to be the last phase.. Gonna beat him if it kills me!!
Gotta use Spitfire immediately when the fight begins and whenever it's ready immediately, use Brimstone with good timings, and just pray lol
I beat it with literally one second remaining on the countdown on FF mode.

Can someone find the boss music that starts here 7:12
This fight is so weird.
How about new outfits?
I’m stuck on phase 3 because the water rises up before I can break his shield!!!
Use spitflare the second phase 3 starts. Then use wildfire to get to leviathan ASAP use brimstone and spam the Square Square Square Triangle combo. Do the same thing until the phase is done. Make sure you are using spit flare as soon as it is available. If you do that, you can use it three times
Music on 4th phase made my testosterone go from 300 to level 9999
How to do Backdrift finish?
Playing FF mode and can't get past phase 3 😭
Finished the boss after seeing the video. Aside from the dps, decent difficulty
I cant beat Phase 3 and landed here because i wondered if there is a Trick. I Do 45k damage per single punch instead of 75 and even in this Video you barely break the countdown... always game over for me, what is this 😭
Skill issue + lack of understanding game mechanics deep as a puddle, lol
Finally the music from the reveal trailer
The water spout and the rings are actully easy to evade the water spout use sprint to get to the side of this thing and the rings jump and then sprint in the air to the point with no rings and i need to say the phase with the shield was so frickin hard
This is the worst designed fight in the game. It’s not the hard that makes it a fun challenge, it’s the hard that makes it unbearable to the point that you want to turn into Ifrit and burn down your house challenge. This is just stupid and unfun.
God damn this game is beautiful
Just wanted to comment that it took me 9 tries for phase 3 barrier, 2 trows for phase 4, then 3 tries for that water spout bs (run to the right non stop till you see leviathan still) and then ps5 turned off because it was too HOT
What’s with all the “just tank it and heal” attacks?? This fight really brought down the hype of this dlc for me
All of Levi’s attacks are avoidable, including Waterspoutz
Such a tough fight but sooooo satisfying. Dare i say, one of my favorite boss fights ever?
So if Clive removed magic from the world at the end of the game, wouldn’t that mean the spell holding the tidal wave broke and then everyone in Mysidia died? Kinda a big plot hole I guess
I wish all the eikons were hard like that. Maybe not so much but it is hard mode after all.
Of course anytime your abilities come up, use them
Does the dlc affect the Base ending?
Yes
Wait there's a new ending?
Nope everything stays the same
@@alessandromolino3242 when you fight ultima you got the leviathan powers
@@sedlyholmes3722Nope, I just fought Ultima again. Nothing changed
I can never get through phase 3. It doesn't give you enough time at all and even when I deal constant damage and as much as I could muster, it's never enough 🥴🙄🥺
Theee Toughest Eikon I ever faced...Respect Leviathan 🫱🏿🫲🏻💯
Help, why the hell can i beat him. I have done it so many times already. Every time i destroy his defense wall, he brings the tsunami out and kills me no cut scene
this sooooooooooooooong is so awesome i love iiiiit^^
came to see why so many are crying about this fight on steam
Completed Leviathan on ff difficulty in 5 attempts
I wouldn't say I like this fight. Breaking his shield is the most stressful thing yet.
Thank you for this video!!! OMG that final battle was intense! And I thought when I went through the Echoes of the Fallen DLC would be hard! The last boss, the Omaga was annoying, but I beat it on my first try. The phase 3 of this fight was so unfair!!!! I tried over 10 times to make it to the 4th phase of the fight which I died once! Now, finally I can go finish up the side quests for this DLC and go beat the main game!
I am level 87 final fnatsy mode for some reason he hits tusnami every time phase 3
Same.
Same anyone solution?
Got the dlc 100% this morning solution for this boss is use combos to faster charge both attack good luck guys
Make sure to use your cooldowns as soon as they are able. Remember the combo 3x square 2x triangle. If you see „backdraft finish” after a combo you’re doing it right. More points if you do it in the air. After he pushes you away use wildfire to get back, don’t waste the precious seconds. Good luck!

18:26 you mind explaining HOW THE FUCK YOU SURVIVED THAT???
thats supposed to be an insta kill.
He burned through all of his Firelights (bottom left)
kept getting so close to beating his stupid first tsunami and it was pissing me off. needed to get the right timing on when to have my skills on cd and when to use them. after that it was easy. though the start of the massive twister on the phase after that first tsunami confused me on how in the hell I am meant to dodge it. so I just face tanked it XD
I really like this Dlc but this fight is just frustrating (on hard mode). If you don't do exactly what is done in this video, you will lose. And it takes way too long, especially if you have to try 10, 20 times for each phase 😩
How are you already able to play it
fr tho
@@SSlashNZ released early
What's that red circle I can't break the buble
I didn’t know child tantrums in FF can be dangerous
this is the hardest fight in the game
So was this before the final battle or after?
It seems before
Obviously before
I’m guessing 3 spitflares is needed to win the 3rd phase
Phase 3 has made me lose a ci trilled in frustration. Abdurd battle.
