A 48 year old Irish man here, did a bit of boxing a life time ago. Love watching your stuff and doing a bit at home. Great content and attitude Tony. Thanks for all your work.
I respect this gentleman for putting his boxing videos in one whole video for easier access. Tony genuinely wants to teach Boxing to everybody, unlike the influencers who only want views and money.
I've been boxing at home for 3 years. I spar my friends in the park and bought a reflex bag for a heavy bag, it didn't last long. I learned the basics through Tony and for the first time I stepped into a gym they thought I was from another gym. Thank you tony for how far you've brought me in boxing 😊
@@joshawosusi7069 Didn't need to be there to know it didn't happen 😂 you watched videos on YT and sparred with people who didn't know how to fight. Your technique would have been so off with bad habits if someone experienced wasn't around to correct you while you were learning. So either your story never happened or you walked into the worst boxing gym in your area.
@@marcotaylor-poverello927 Or maybe I watched videos that corrected my technique recorded myself boxing actually tried to improve, worked hard and got recognized for it. Like bro how you gone tell me what I did
I haven't stepped into a gym yet because of time and moving, but once I do I know I'll feel a lot more confident thanks to you Tony. Thanks for all the great advice that you give out for FREE. I do the 16-minute shadow boxing workout 4 times a week and get better every time.
Really grateful to find Tony during my first 8 weeks of starting boxing! Left it till 32 not much time to learn but he is so clear ! 👌 unbelievable amount of effort for free videos we appreciate it
So is his footwork…notice he mentions not overreaching he also mentions using centerline and to keep from having head over the lead knee as well as a modified bow and arrow stance.
Tony, I thank you for this beautiful video, you are very talentous and you told me somethimg I didn' t know, and I am very happy to watchimg this video of boxe 🥊. I do Shadow boxe for 2 years and I love this beautiful sport. My dream is to became a good boxer,. 😊
Hi tony, love your tips. I am struggling with using my hips and moving my shoulders away from my head when crossing, could you make a video on how i can loosen my shoulders to move with the punch?
Long but just fascinating video! No coach will provide this type of information even after getting hefty amount of fees. Tony your channel is equally beneficial for boxers as well as for martial artists. We are really proud of you Tony 😊👍
The more I think about it there are some really good tips in this video. I like how TJ encourages people to think about the way they train rather than just mash the bags. After this video I noticed, when I tire my footwork and punch technique drop massively. Also, when I'm feeling good, I expend too much energy and telegraph too much. Stuff I have always probably done but now I'm more aware can put it right. Thanks for the video
Any way you can do a video on boxing/heavy bag gloves and differences between boxing gloves vs heavy bag gloves vs heavy bag mitts and which you like? I am on the fence between Reyes, Phenom, and Rival and don’t know if I should get heavy bag mitts or heavy bag gloves. Btw your videos are priceless and have helped me quite a bit. As a side note, a lot of what you show as “boxing” also has been used in martial arts, especially southern Kung fu styles, especially the footwork. Thanks for everything
Been watching you for a long time Tony, but these videos are something else! I much prefer these long ones with different sections. Really good work buddy! Im fighting tomorrow and these long videos giving me lots to think about 🤜🏼🤜🏼
Some good advice there. Even if you already know some of it, it's good to think about while training as it's easy for bad habits to creep in when you start to tire.
It's been a while, now I'm getting to absorb advanced techniques since I was able to be win my debut amateur fight since 7 months entering boxing life! I'm currently 36yo and I must say that your tips helped me throughout my boxing journey. Perfect practice makes perfect. 💪
Tony, thank you so much for your videos, brother❤ I just took up boxing to help my mental and physical health through a rough time. Will you please make a video or even series featuring 45 min or 1-hour structured boxing training sessions. Congratulations on your phenomenal success, my friend!
Hey Tony! I love your videos! I’m trying to get into boxing for fitness but I feel lost trying to buy high quality equipment without breaking the bank. Would you consider making a video comparing beginner level gloves? I love all your insight In everything you do!
Hi sir !.I love what you are doing. Im wondering if I could take a part of your videos, cut it into short clips and upload it.Ofcourse I'll give you the credits and stuff..
Tony ... Love your videos ... thank you. Just wondering what advice you can provide a complete novice in glove selection? I did browse your library but couldn't locate anything specifically on this subject. An older guy doing it for health & fitness. My hands can be a little tender from years of playing cricket. Any suggestions are genuinely appreciated.
Tony why aren’t fighters today moving and exploding with their legs compared to fighters of the past? I’ve looked at the very old films and there’s no mistaken it. It’s absolutely incredible to watch 1928 lightweight champion move better than Sugar Ray Leonard. Sammy Mandel from Chicago or Rockford, Illinois. Watch it!
I started boxing by playing vr 😂 but the punch I found out that worked myself was the screw shot, and it allowed me to throw the straight right after, or I would start with the straight then the left uppercut and it would get through the guard
Keep throwing faints until you exhaust him and he’ll eventually get frustrated and you are now the counter puncher You are not forced to throw the first punch… a good fighter will be patient and wait for you to make a mistake and counter u
Sir i am 30 years old with no prior experience in this sport...can i start from today and become a successful boxer? I just want to learn the art to defend myself...after proper boxing i want to shift my focus on bjj
Yo tony i won your contest and am inching to become a member and start training!!! Everyone like this so tony sees this and i get that lifetime membership!!!!!🎉
Love the videos, but disagree almost entirely on the premise that heavy dumbbell shadow boxing and 16oz gloves all the time will improve hand speed. Those are great tools for specific uses, but not for hand speed. These are more for shoulder endurance
Hey, I'm trying to find a free-standing punching bag that doesn't hang from the ceiling. This is because I want to train at my home, but hanging from the ceiling would take up too much space. Do you know where I can find a really good one? Most of the ones I've found don't seem to hold up well against really strong punches. I mean, I could search on Amazon and get the first one, but you should know where to find better ones. Ty!
Anyone got tips for throwing a jab? Whenever I throw a jab at the bag it feels weird and I can’t hit as hard as Ik I can however when I do my shadow boxing my jab is perfectly fine. (My gloves weigh 10oz) if that matters
Tony my neighbour is 6 foot 1 and 182 pounds and I am 5 foot 9 and 128 pounds and he came up to me earlier and said he going to take my head off when my kids aren't here. What should I do?
Like I got almost 7 years of boxing and I'm going to open I want to open my own boxing School in this fall I'm going to kickboxing school but I have the money I can afford all that and if you have the money you can afford anything in boxing
