Dude get rid of the Mr.Buddy and get a diesel heater. I live in Bozeman and I've been in a truck camper for 6 years. I used a Vevor 5Kw in my truck camper. I now live in a 38 foot toy hauler and use a 8kw and it keeps my place at 77 degrees and burns about a quarter gal of diesel a day if I run it for 8-10 hrs a day on med. And its been cold lately but not as cold as its going to get.Its a dry heat so you don't have to worry about condensation. Trust me they are great. Also good going with the channel. I watch from time to time.

    @paulg492 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Fire up the built in furnace that came with the camper. Check for leaks with soapy water, blow out the dust. Way more economical and probably puts out more btu's than that toy heater.

I love the music you choose for the background it's so appropriate for the landscape and beautiful scenery.
You are one hell of a cook. Either you're secretly a professional chef, or you just have the instincts of one, because you sure know how to make food look good, and taste that way as well I'm sure.
Like your casual style, very relaxing, and you seem to incorporate a lot.
ABSOLUTELY ❤ your new shell because cooking indoors, much cozier, especially during inclement weather.
Enjoy the spots you pick for camping, even the ones that are not isolated. The one fishing near the river is really, really beautiful.
What a place to own property.
Your nature is diligent so with practice you'll become the fisherman you hope to be.
    👍

You probably know, but there is a hose that can connect your Buddy Heater to the 20 pound propane tanks (or larger ones), and an adapter to refill the one pound Coleman tanks from the 20 pound tanks (or larger ones). Might find a mounting spot on the outside of the camper for the larger tank.

That or get the hose adapter for the buddy heater and use a 5,10 or 20 pound bottle to fuel it. It's cheaper to fill and less waste in the landfills.

  • @puddlerat

PS- the rodents will nest in air filter box on that truck. I have same one but 3.4l. I have a video on my page about it. I just installed metal mesh over intake tube. They can also get in through the fresh air intake vent holes under the black cover below wipers. Thats probably how he got in. Unless he just jumped in when door was open

Get a 5lb refillable propane bottle.
Cost to fill it is the same price as you're paying for one 1lb bottle & better for environment.✌ A Webasto heater install would also be a great idea.

Suggestion for ur next duty dish clean up- We use a cheap plastic Coleman collapsible sink ( has 2 bins to it) for dirty dishes. I thought it would be meh but it turns out 2 b really convenient. Especially when we add some hot kettle water to it. Have fun out there!

Welcome to Montana Jonathan! You were within a couple of miles of where I live at the beginning of your vid. You cruised through at the perfect time. Full-on snow and cold now! That section of the Yellowstone is a tough river to fish without a boat, or at least waders. Easier accessible good fishing holes going West towards Livingston.

Try dropping your fly on the downstream side of those rocks, into the eddy currents where they get loads of oxygen and wait for the buffet to float past them. Polarized sunglasses reduce that glare off the water.

I was disappointed no Woo with the coffee?! I think you should do a compilation of woo’s from your morning coffees and post it as a short.. also keep up with the fly fishing. Don’t be disappointed about the lack of the catch it’s not always catching the fish but the fishing itself that makes it fun and relaxing. I am sure you know that already though. I am trying to teach this to my 5 and 8 year old sons and that fishing takes patience also. Thanks as always for making artistic videos. So many TH-camrs just throw videos together but yours show true filmmaking art.

Hey Jonathan. Awesome video as always. Well
I'm curious, I see something out your window at 12:52 timestamp and it's moving I can't make out what it is, I'm hoping that it's just a cow but looks maybe like a bear. I tried to enlarge it but it just comes out as a big blob lol
Do you remember seeing 👀 it? I mean you had to of seen it, it's too close for you not to have seen it. Maybe if I put it on the big screen I'll have better luck 🤔 but IDK, lol. 😆
Could you please let me know what it was if you saw it?

    Great job!
Thanks 😊 for all the hard work and time you put into these videos. It's paying off, they're awesome.

Rice-a-Roni is a great staple. As a kid my Mom would make it the main course by putting ground beef into it, and then serving some veggies on the side. I make a really cheap version with fried white rice, broccoli, carrots, and ground beef or chicken and some spice...leftovers even freeze well.

Ever think of using an electric blanket at night for sleeping ? If you have acess to an electric outlet, it will keep you warm and maybe you could save some of that propane. If you go somewhere you have no electricty, it never hurts to have an extra blanket....just an idea.

Could be Laurel, Montana. Big Horn River within driving distance is known for fishing.

Please remember to push that curtain back behind the stove. It makes me nervous. Be Safe. Enjoy fishing and camping.

Where there is one mouse there are many. Set traps and check your engine bay, they love eating wires for some reason.
