I'm not trying to be rude here even knowing it will sound like it, but literally every "van life" or camping channel has the exact same formula that they just copy from OGs. FOLLOW your instincts! If something doesn't feel right, move! We were traveling in a camper, pulled over by a sm lake after traveling all day. Was getting ready to make dinner, I did NOT see or hear anybody, but, had an uneasy feeling. We had a 2 yr. old, also. I told my husband we had to move, he was tired from the drive, but, he agreed to move. Better to be safe than sorry!

Perhaps it is the sense of nature's grandeur and the feeling of our own smallness, frailty, and mortality that we feel in comparison, that evokes what feels like "loneliness". Perhaps this loneliness this, diminishment is what allows us to commune with something greater than ourselves and feel a sense of wonder and humility when encountering nature's wonders, beauty, expanse, and mystery. I too, have felt these feelings when alone with natural wonders on my car camping trips. Such feelings allow us to explore our own mysterious depths.

Once we could afford a full truck camper with oven, shower etc - I thought I had died and gone to heaven. We enjoyed it for many years. Can’t wait to see how it ends up. ALWAYS trust your gut instincts, that was a very smart move on your part and NEVER 2nd guess yourself, it could have saved you a world of trouble. Your meals looked great, you do a good job 🍳🔪. Have a safe trip, get the camper fixed up really well, check all the wiring and truck filters because mice like to nest in a cabin filter, also an air filter etc.

Been loving your trip vlogs. I recommend going with a diesel heater. Webasto is the name brand one. Spend the money on a good heater and cheap out on a cooler style fridge. Have had my Amazon one for a year now and works great and is super energy efficient.

Good call on the steakburgers. Beef without garlic is beef done wrong.

Another terrific video. Your videos help remind me of the feelings of being on the road - the discoveries, the joys, and the loneliness. All the best with the new home and camper upgrades.

It's cool that you like Pabst. I hadn't had it in decades, then my grocery store did a $10 off online coupon on a 30-pack, so I spent the $11.99. Perfectly fine beer, and for 40 cents a can, it's a steal. Camping tip for anyone who uses vinegar to wipe off their dishes when camping, beer works better and leaves far less residue.

13:03 it all makes sense. It's experiencing many aspects/emotions of being human (joy, pain, sunshine, rain). Or simply put, "I can't miss you if you don't go away first, dang! 🤣"

I can’t stand the smell of moth balls. Cotton balls with peppermint oil is great for getting rid of mice!
