Lets not act like making meals is some ground breaking addition when its the most generic part of every video like this....

FOLLOW your instincts! If something doesn't feel right, move! We were traveling in a camper, pulled over by a sm lake after traveling all day. Was getting ready to make dinner, I did NOT see or hear anybody, but, had an uneasy feeling. We had a 2 yr. old, also. I told my husband we had to move, he was tired from the drive, but, he agreed to move. Better to be safe than sorry!

I feel your pain. Sometimes a short trip without all of the creature comforts is doable. I have managed a couple of weeks at a time in my truck/bela-air camper with a porta-potty or bucket for a toilet. But I do have running water from a sink I made out of a salad bowl and nesting table and a 26 qt 12 v fridge. I take the 25 ft RV out for longer trips. Love your pancake breakfast! I have the same issue flipping. But, you pretty much nailed it! For mice, I use peppermint spray and solar motion lights under the truck. I know a couple who leaves a couple of lucy lights under the hood. I also never leave my doors open for any extended period of time.

Whenever I look at beautiful natural scenery I get this warm feeling in my stomach that I could never pin down and I can only describe as nostalgic. The fire draws in air from the bottom outside the cabin and exhausts at the top so you’re safe when you have the doors to the marine, wood-burning stove closed. You can see the fire through the glass door, which is another plus. Just a thought, and a suggestion.

Perhaps it is the sense of nature's grandeur and the feeling of our own smallness, frailty, and mortality that we feel in comparison, that evokes what feels like "loneliness". Perhaps this loneliness this, diminishment is what allows us to commune with something greater than ourselves and feel a sense of wonder and humility when encountering nature's wonders, beauty, expanse, and mystery. I too, have felt these feelings when alone with natural wonders on my car camping trips. Such feelings allow us to explore our own mysterious depths.

My guy has the exact same camper. Those came with really great propane heaters. Did you take the old one out? The fridge unit was a 3 way dometic unit? Did your camper not come with that? It’s a 4 season camper created right here in Beautiful British Columbia. Those campers are coveted. Another TH-camr “Tails Of Wonderlust” bought the Northern Lite version of those. Both manufacturers were the same company at one time but parted. She doesn’t have a furnace either. I am not sure why people take them out. Beautiful campers and truly the best in my opinion which is why they cost to much to buy used. Good luck

Love your videos so much. I love the beauty of your travels. I understand the "loneliness' aspect of venturing out solo. Thanks for bringing us along.

    What a lovely looking breakfast.
When I read the title for this vlog I became a little worried but you are going home for all the right reasons and then back on the road. Yes! This may seem a little specific but I enjoy your first morning coffee almost as much as you do. I'd love to see a design on like a coffee mug or tee shirt that's a cartoon you, with a cup of coffee and WOO! I have to smile when I see that (Wistful, I'm not begging for it because I've seen TH-camrs express what a pain dealing with merch can be. Stressor.) Also, you camp in some glorious places.

Completely understand and identify with your assessment of solo travel. Done it many times in many ways and I prefer it over traveling with another person.

Pro tip - instead of flipping the whole pancake, life the pancake up with the spatula, flip the pan over to the top (uncooked side of pancake) and then flip the pan back over. Maybe a little confusing but hopefully you get the gist. Will make it much easier for you lol

Great scenery and great cook! You may want to try Jim Beam vanilla. It is very good, and may keep you warm on the cold nights.

Fix the electrical system on the camper, Does is have a battery in it, ( what is called a house battery) and there is a heater (furance) in the camper already... you just need to get the system in the camper going correctly. that is a beautiful camper. best of luck getting home and getting into NEW house. and get to work on the camper and get its systems up and running. would me you so much more comfy. thank care and thanks for sharing.

Jonathan, I reccomend a small diesel heater. Id hate to have a gas heater plummed into my gas tank and run out of fuel and gas is pretty ineffecient compared to diesel.
