Awesome for following your dream and just getting it done. I am an old fart and have had several opportunities to travel but always found a excuse to not go. Now in my older years I am regretting it. But it is what it is and watching you makes me smile.
You're so right what you said about just doing what you want to do and putting all that other stuff aside or you end up 70 years old, sitting in a chair somewhere, thinking about all the should haves and would haves and opportunities you missed out on because you were just procrastinating! The one trip we made it out west from Pennsylvania, we spent two weeks traveling around and saw 11 national parks and it was honestly the best memory of my life now at 65.
Lighting is way cooler than the normal, and so are YOU. I always wish I was "on the road" with you! Someone said something like, "Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence." You did it, Jon! 💖💖
Yesterday I got most of my hiking, backpacking, camping gear out of the storage into the living room to sort thru. I put the seat backs down and padded the area with 4/5 layers (as insulation). I got the blackout curtain working but still need to make the Reflectix window covers. Yes there are things to do before a trip but with cold weather looming I have to get ready fast. Anyone feeding your kitty while you are gone?
Travel now Jon while you’re young, have good eyesight and energy!! I loved traveling when I was young. Travel now while you’re young, have good eyesight and energy! Love your Videos and that you take us along on your Adventures. Be Safe!
at risk of repeating myself, this camper is legit, even with improvising the lighting. I am continuously fascinated with whatever food you end up making in each video. My favorite so far is the "adult lunchable pizza", but this is a close second.
Love your rig and your videos. Makes me wish I was young again. I can watch your videos and daydream that I am accompanying you in your adventures on the road in this beautiful part of our country.
Great decision to just GO! Figure out the electrical later. And what you said about delaying and not going, is totally spot on. I just set a time and date and then just force myself to stop and just pack stuff up. I keep extra clothes in the van so technically I'm always ready to go. So there really is no excuse for not getting going.
love your vids and yes agree on the rain...I have the LED's in my van...and listening to the rain hit the metal while cuddled with my dog...best sleeps ever
Having fun is hard work. Between the mechanical prep (old van), the cleaning and packing its a lot but so worth it. Glad to see you enjoying the Bigfoot and I love your lights.
I enjoyed your short but nice update video while stuck at my desk doing seemingly endless hwk assignments 🙃 Thanks for taking me along to escape vicariously with you on a road trip! 🤗🤗
Hey Jon! You love to play guitar 🎸 Don’t worry about nightmare while you’re sleeping. It’s happening to me for rest of my life! Think positive! See ya next marvelous adventure to the destinations! 😊
Couldn't agree more about just getting out and not fixating on the projects. I just came back from a car camping trip and put aside working on my camper just to get out there and not spend all my time "preparing". Hope to actually get out in my home built camper before the weather gets really cold. Just have to figure out what is essential :)
Good morning and cheers. Wasn’t expecting your vlog until this evening, but a great surprise while eating my breakfast ( Avocado & fried egg on toast with a side of Spicy noodles 😋) Exactly the first things I did when I got my vintage Truck slide-in camper. I updated the battery inverter/charger and a new battery. But still having electrical issues that I assume is due to old wires that are shorting out. And that means I’ll need to do a complete rewiring of the 12v system. Also I changed out the old freshwater tank and hoses because I wasn’t sure if the cleanliness. Then I installed a MaxFan that replaced the old roof vent. And you sure did make removing the old sealant look mighty easy😮. Also we are truly alike in the need to get on the road and the many tasks that we put on our selves that we think we need to accomplish before the trip. I had planned my current ‘On the Road’ adventure back in June and had a fixed date that I needed to leave, yet every day prior came another priority that need immediate attention 😏 Also, love the temporary lighting systems and even when you get the campers electrical issues working, I’m sure you’ll be keeping them. Have a safe trip bro and as always I’ll be waiting for the next notification for some great content and updates 👋
Always love seeing a new video up. Glad you're back on the road, can't wait for the new videos to come. Stay safe out there and hopefully maybe you could do a meet and greet sometime for your viewers.
I love my led lights … and I do use my yeti as a dry box … but my favorite gadget that Iv bought for my van is my iceco 12volt fridge!!! Dnt wait my man!!! You will love it keep up the good videos!
Hi Jonathan, the content of your video was just fine! Seriously, watching you cook your gourmet dinner was cool, and even drinking your beer was ok too~ no worries. Just lovin watching your everyday life unfold! Take care, no need for apologizing to any of us!
Yes, it's hard to camp in October because it's so nice at home.. but we just got back yesterday from the Shasta-Trinity area in our Bigfoot. 5 days with highs in the 80's, summer like, and we were just about the only campers out there. You went east, we went south.
The same thing happens when you own a sailboat, got to fix this, that, and the other thing. Nope I bought this to go sailing! Good to see you out there again!
I used to go through the same process, you talked of when to for a Camp.. leave the Camper on all year and go wherever you can watch the weather, and be safe..
If you want a warmer place to go visit southern Arizona has some awesome places Bisbee - Tombstone - national park Chiricahua is so beautiful . Safe travels - love the lights
I enjoy your casual videos, your fishing and cooking ones even more. Although you do go to some really beautiful places. If you keep on top of sealants regularly, and considering you bought the camper shell in British Columbia, where it rains several feet a year, I think you're going to be ok regarding leaks. Always wise to have battery operated extra lighting, it's practical and mandatory when electrical systems aren't always accessible or operational. Those lights are AWESOME👏, excellent for ambience, and really spruces the decor! Where did you buy them? 👍 Good luck on getting your electrical systems operational...so your refrigerator and what have you works. Quite frankly, if you ever had to, you could live in that wonderful little camper. It's pretty nice the way it is without major renovations! Perhaps while on the road, you can make time to upgrade the electrical since you'll have opportunities to focus. I love your shell, EXCELLENT purchase. Safe travels! 👍
Sorting out the electric should not be that bad but I use the same puck lights to light up my pig board in my garage. It is dark around it and those lights did the trick and the added color makes it fun . I shoot videos by then . The just add a little pop . Good thinking! Oh it helps me see in me dark shop when I come in late on my motorcycle. No need to light up the hole shop .
Good seeing you back on the roadways. Liked what you've done with the camper! Nice! I think I like this camper the better than the others. Fiberglass campers are awesome and hold their value well. Improvements will come over time but any you make will be worth the cost and effort. Fiberglass, however, might be a little bit fragile to roughhousing so do watch for hairline cracks from deep potholes, etc. When we owned our Corvette we were always checking it around the corners and Convertible top. Well then, looking forward to seeing all your new adventures to destinations unknown...ONWARD young man!
You made me laugh with the lights, I traveled with my best friend ( dog ) for 12 years until he passed away and then I just quit traveling, it was never the same after that.
Hey dude, it may be worth paying a 'pro' to take a look at your electrical system. You may have a very simple issue that can be fixed in no time. I remember in one of your last vids you had your electrical working after installing a new battery but then it randomly went out. I think you said you wiggled the wiring and it all started working. You may just have a simple ground issue. If it were me id check the connections to the battery first and make sure they are 100% then attempt shaking the wiring again to see if you can recreate the problem/solution. I bet it's easier than you think and wouldn't require replacing everything.
This made the Monday morning for me, Jonathan! You are funny, but practical. The talk with the cows, What's Up Guys? LOL. I agree no need to have a plan. I'm a weekend warrior and my body will tell me it's time to go and refuel. Nature is my therapy. Thank you for sharing!
I let the ads play fully through on all your videos - not sure whether that helps you out or not with the partner program - but I like to think it does and its my way of helping you back. Your channel has certainly helped me!
I'm 70, and literally have been all over North America on my motorcycle. Getting older means more doctor's appointments, so I try to set them up near each other, which keeps the calendar open for more travel. You're young, and you'll eventually realize that your world won't collapse because you didn't get to do something that's not tied in with travel. I also like motor races, so I research races along the routes to get them in too. That means I have gotten to attend races in all 50 states, and every province in Canada, except 2. Research, write an itinerary, don't stick to it if you don't want to, and go...just go. I'm also always forgetting something at home, even forgot my passport once, and had to ride back to get it. It's part of the trips story, so don't worry too much about it. One thing about your camper, I would HAVE to have curtains for the sleep area, or my sleep would be junk. Maybe I'll see you out there some time. But be aware, my nickname is Gabby, as you might tell. 😁 Be safe out there.
Great video!! Even when you do happen to get the lighting fixed I hope you consider keeping the puck lights for mood lighting. Loving how the different colors create contrast between the sleeping and living areas.
Congratulations on getting back on the road again. We love your new light mods. Enjoyed your video and are looking forward to your next one. Mary 💕 Fred
Glad you are back on the road. Sorry the cows ignored you. I have seen videos where people play musical instrumentts at the finceline and the animals flock over to see what's going on. Try playing your Uke next time.
What is the weight of your truck camper? Did you have to add to the rear suspension? How has it effected the fuel mileage. How has it effected the driving ability of the truck? What size bed is your truck? I know I have alot of questions but I hope that you can provide answers as I spoke to you earlier I'm considering a camper for my Tundra with a 6 and a half foot bed. Thanks
Glad to see you back on the road again. Did you and Tess split up?. I saw you taking all your stuff. You're so cool, Jonathan! Just like Willie Nelson's song, "On the road again. Can't wait to get on the road. Seeing things I've never seen." Missed your AM Whooooo but glad to see you’re back on the road! Looking forward to seeing your awesome videos. Drive safe. Keep safe. God bless. 😘

Be safe on ur travels and have fun
you are LIVING my guy! nothing beats hearing the pitter patter of rain when youre safely secured and dry
Ain't that the truth.... also that smell of all the oils coming off the pavement after a fresh rain. The best.
You're so right what you said about just doing what you want to do and putting all that other stuff aside or you end up 70 years old, sitting in a chair somewhere, thinking about all the should haves and would haves and opportunities you missed out on because you were just procrastinating! Great video, I love hearing the rain hitting the top of the camper I love rain and rain storms you be safe and see you in your next video thank you
Great video. Doesn’t have to be anything epic. It’s nice to know what a normal day in the camper looks like.
Enjoyed meeting you at the Sinclair gas station in
Pendleton,OR. Great videos. You are doing a great job, keep up the good work.
Love your shooting style, the rear view mirror shot combined with the music and somehow the grey looking weather comes into play too. Brilliant.
Your video is "a must" to watch during weekend Jonathan.. Thanx a lot.. Really enjoy ur video.. Best greeting from Malaysia 🇲🇾

Anyone feeding your kitty while you are gone?
I love your sense of humor and the fun music.
The color light scheme and the rain made it perfect. 💯
Great to see you're back on the road again. Almost 100K subs. that's awesome.
Wow camper cleaned up very nice 💕👌 And good job on the vent re seal 👍
PS- love the new disco lights 🕺
Can't get over how much inside storage in your Bigfoot has. Nice 👌
Hi Jonathan, wow, that was a herd of rude rude cows LOL. Love those interior puck lights. I see an Amazon search in my future. Nice vid. Take care 👍👍

I agree about the sound of rain on the roof. Fond memories. Looking forward to hearing it in another camper.👍👍✌️
Hey I love the lights. My thought is whatever you feel comfortable with and hey it works.
love your vids and yes agree on the rain...I have the LED's in my van...and listening to the rain hit the metal while cuddled with my dog...best sleeps ever
OH, MY, THAT CAMPER IS GORGEOUS!!! NICE TO SEE YOU GETTING BACK ON THE ROAD, JONATHAN. HAVE A GREAT TIME!!
YOU ARE MY HERO, JONATHAN. YOU "ALWAYS" MAKE IT WORK!!!
Having fun is hard work.
Between the mechanical prep (old van), the cleaning and packing its a lot but so worth it.
Glad to see you enjoying the Bigfoot and I love your lights.
Yeah dude we feel you! Stopped for a couple months to renovate our camper but yearnin to hit the road. Thanks for the inspo! Safe travels
Good point about procrastination- inability to leave in case there's 1 more job/errand to complete before the trip.
I enjoyed your short but nice update video while stuck at my desk doing seemingly endless hwk assignments 🙃 Thanks for taking me along to escape vicariously with you on a road trip! 🤗🤗
Great message Jonathan. If you keep waiting, you’ll never get it done. Just do it, go for it.

Nice lighting, It's nice to see the gorge and the beautiful Columbia river. I have been traveling that stretch of highway most of my life.
I love my led lights … and I do use my yeti as a dry box … but my favorite gadget that Iv bought for my van is my iceco 12volt fridge!!! Dnt wait my man!!! You will love it keep up the good videos!
Matt, how much does one cost and where do you purchase it. Probably cheaper than a new fridge, huh.
I'm so happy to see your channel blow up. Been following since your first road trip. Looking forward to more vids bro!

Reasons or Excuses. An important part of the analysis. Great video and happy to see you back out on the road.

I like your idea, just travel now while weather is still good. The camper project can be during winter
You made me laugh with the lights, I traveled with my best friend ( dog ) for 12 years until he passed away and then I just quit traveling, it was never the same after that.

I love your camper. It’s so cozy. ENJOY!
Yeah, on the road is the place to be. Not for the sights but for the colored lights! 🍻
Good to see you out. I look forward to a fishing episode.
Sorry... but I'm weak. Cause I'm _so jealous_ ! Can't wait to see more of the trip.... Peace and safety (and have a blast!)

I doctor up Mac and cheese all the time. Broccoli or salsa added is good.
Great video!! Even when you do happen to get the lighting fixed I hope you consider keeping the puck lights for mood lighting. Loving how the different colors create contrast between the sleeping and living areas.
Jonathan has some of the coziest looking jackets! Great video!
You are a inspiration
