@@namu3807 just fold the corner of a facial tissue and insert it into the charging port. Do this a couple or few times until it soaks all the moisture out.
Delivery driver here/uses phone all day for gps and audio purposes, so panic didn’t take long to set in. This happened to me when my aftermarket/cheap cable tapped the condensation on my 20 ounce drink sitting in the cup holder. i wiped the cable off on my pants and held my phone out the window with charge port facing forward to have the breeze blow into the port and it was fixed in about 4 minutes Edit: car speed was about 30-40 miles per hour

My advice is to sprinkle kitty litter into the charging port to absorb liquid, and then use a blowtorch to heat up the device and expedite the drying process. Works every time.
So what worked for me was taking a tooth pic, wrapping it in a thin wrap of toilet paper and gently moving it around in the charging hole. Soaked up the water and worked for me after my iPhone was saying it would take several hours to dry.
My 11pro did this right after last iPhone update. It was NEVER around water. I hard pressed to turn off. I Restated the iPhone and POOF 🎉it worked. Google said “the new update caused problems for 10 or 11 models” no clue but restarted it worked 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

I had same problem, i used the sim remover( idk what they call it 🤣) i found some small cotton inside it was wet i removed it, i tried to dry the connector with a cotton and boom worked instantly 😄
My GF’s iPhone was accidentally submerged in a hot tub for about 3 seconds. Her phone subsequently received the message that liquid was detected. She waited about 45 minutes and everything charged normally. However, I did not think of removing the SIM card to let that port dry out. She’s not home right now but when she returns, I might check out the SIM card to see if there is any corrosion forming. We shall see….

There was no chance I had water or “liquid” im my charging port. Solution was: used a soft wooden toothpick to fished out a bunch of lint and fuzz out of the port . Reconnected the cable and charging activated. A better description for the alert would be something like poor connection or something along those lines as opposed to declaring it is liquid . Cone on Apple. Does anybody know what they are doibg over there? Does anybody care?
Omg thank you! I just did it with a needle and tissue paper and then the end of a floss pick with tissue paper and then thinly putting it over the charger itself then pushing it in😭 I did all that and it was still saying it had water but I was like there’s no way cause only one drop may have flown in so I turned it off then on and it’s not saying it anymore!

I’ve never had my phone near water or my cable near water and when I plugged in it said that.. it was one of those adapters that have the headphone 3mm and charging port. Is that their way of saying it’s not one of their accessories?
ZERO ACESS TO LIQUID, was just on the dry table & suddenly had “liquid detection”. One month old, never near liquid. Turned on & off twice, left in front of fan overnight & is ok. I am getting on a plane to a remote island today & could not possibly get Apple repair. I am so over new products being “broken” in the past ten years. This one based on many searches sounds like a bug/ scam trying to prepare us for portless but I need one for data transfer in low to no coverage areas. Thank you for the video 🙏

Left my phone on an outside table and it rained overnight. I have an iPhone 12 pro. To get rid of the moisture in the phone, I took a small piece of toilet tissue, folded it to the port width, and inserted it carefully into the charging port. I then took a small knife and carefully stuffed the tissue into the port further. Being careful not to pull the tissue out quickly, I wiggled it out so it would not tear off inside the port. It worked. I was then able to charge my phone immediately.

This happened to me yesterday after taking a few shots underwater (just a foot below). I've done this several times in the past and this is the first time I got this message. I tried using a cloth to clean and possibly dry the inside of the port but didn't help. It charged wirelessly though. I slipped it under my pillow and slept over it. Woke up this morning and it's perfectly charging fine. It's an iPhone12.

Take a small piece of cotton from your clothes or a Q-Tip and rub the inside of your Charger import under your phone it may be dirt due to the charging sensors sensitivity this is why I love Apple products they are always the best and easy to fix! 👍🏿
Back in the day a Freind dropped his iPhone in water accidentally of course . It was not turning on . He did the rice thing and his dad worked for NASA so they took the iPhone to NASA placing it in a vacuum machine . The iPhone worked like a champ afterwards .
It also does this with faulty cables despite the port being perfectly dry. My cables sometimes say there is liquid in the port, I use another cable, and the message goes away.
This was very informative. I've had this issue with a Samsung 7, with one particular charge cable. I tried another one & phone started charging. Tried a week later, same thing. Like you said, cable was defective. Thanks for your very wise advice👍👍

The over-ride works great. I used this because my phone has not been near water for the last week (sitting on a table only). All cables get the same message. I tried to reboot. I set it in the sun (not mid-day sun) and am using the wireless charger to heat up the phone too. I looked into the port and gingerly tried to clean anything (no difference). I always use a battery/case combo, and have taken it out and used a charging cable separate (no change - same message). I think it just needs time.

This acc works,all I had to do was leave the window open and have my phone facing horizontally for 30 mins,now it’s perfectly fine :)

Use wireless charger. The battery will generate some heat that will assist drying.

What do I do if I pressed the override button.Can I take it off?
I did the emergency over ride charge a split second & didn’t charge any more 😳😡
Happened to me just yesterday
So I covered my plug with a tissue, stuck it in, take the tissue out, try again, and repeat until it stops complaining

Never dropped it in water. Never got it wet. Randomly gave me this “Liquid Detected” notification when I tried charging it. Makes no sense.

Back in the day a Freind dropped his iPhone in water accidentally of course . It was not turning on . He did the rice thing and his dad worked for NASA so they took the iPhone to NASA placing it in a vacuum machine . The iPhone worked like a champ afterwards .
I'm about to lose it. I have to use my GPS, communicate with others, and submit assignments using my phone and it's not working.
It also does this with faulty cables despite the port being perfectly dry. My cables sometimes say there is liquid in the port, I use another cable, and the message goes away.
I spilt my drink and it got into my charge port
This was very informative. I've had this issue with a Samsung 7, with one particular charge cable. I tried another one & phone started charging. Tried a week later, same thing. Like you said, cable was defective. Thanks for your very wise advice👍👍
I honestly was just charging my phone and it randomly went “water detected”, even though there was no way for water to get water in, anyways thanks for the help

My iPhone is showing me this msg since last month
The over-ride works great. I used this because my phone has not been near water for the last week (sitting on a table only). All cables get the same message. I tried to reboot. I set it in the sun (not mid-day sun) and am using the wireless charger to heat up the phone too. I looked into the port and gingerly tried to clean anything (no difference). I always use a battery/case combo, and have taken it out and used a charging cable separate (no change - same message). I think it just needs time.
Did the message ever go away? I’m having the same issue
