Delivery driver here/uses phone all day for gps and audio purposes, so panic didn’t take long to set in. This happened to me when my aftermarket/cheap cable tapped the condensation on my 20 ounce drink sitting in the cup holder. i wiped the cable off on my pants and held my phone out the window with charge port facing forward to have the breeze blow into the port and it was fixed in about 4 minutes
Edit: car speed was about 30-40 miles per hour

My advice is to sprinkle kitty litter into the charging port to absorb liquid, and then use a blowtorch to heat up the device and expedite the drying process. Works every time.

So what worked for me was taking a tooth pic, wrapping it in a thin wrap of toilet paper and gently moving it around in the charging hole. Soaked up the water and worked for me after my iPhone was saying it would take several hours to dry.

This happened to me when my iPhone 12 was almost brand new, and I had no idea why as there had been no obvious exposure to water anywhere with the phone. So I followed the suggestions like you mention in the video. I think Applecare also suggested I set the iPhone near a open window with a breeze and I guess that aids in any drying out. It took several hours for the phone to be okay again.

There was no chance I had water or “liquid” im my charging port. Solution was: used a soft wooden toothpick to fished out a bunch of lint and fuzz out of the port . Reconnected the cable and charging activated. A better description for the alert would be something like poor connection or something along those lines as opposed to declaring it is liquid . Cone on Apple. Does anybody know what they are doibg over there? Does anybody care?

This afternoon, I dropped my phone in the pool by the accident. I must be very tired and stressed. I have iPhone 12 pro max and glad I didn't blow it out. I have to find a great video and it really helps. I didn't touch my phone for 30 minutes, then I charge my phone and it's work. I will leave my phone alone for 24 hours. I hope it will be working fine tomorrow. Thanks for the help!!!!!

Left my phone on an outside table and it rained overnight. I have an iPhone 12 pro. To get rid of the moisture in the phone, I took a small piece of toilet tissue, folded it to the port width, and inserted it carefully into the charging port. I then took a small knife and carefully stuffed the tissue into the port further. Being careful not to pull the tissue out quickly, I wiggled it out so it would not tear off inside the port. It worked. I was then able to charge my phone immediately.

I tried using a cloth to clean and possibly dry the inside of the port but didn't help. It charged wirelessly though. I slipped it under my pillow and slept over it. Woke up this morning and it's perfectly charging fine. It's an iPhone12.

The over-ride works great. I used this because my phone has not been near water for the last week (sitting on a table only). All cables get the same message. I tried to reboot. I set it in the sun (not mid-day sun) and am using the wireless charger to heat up the phone too. I looked into the port and gingerly tried to clean anything (no difference). I always use a battery/case combo, and have taken it out and used a charging cable separate (no change - same message). I think it just needs time.
