Does the front desk take special requests? I know journalists are looked at with suspicion if they wander into the lobby, but I would love to see Gregor Craigie on the pod to bat around the politics of solving the housing crisis. Great podcast, btw, folks!
When has the BC government (BC Liberals or NDP) ever taken forest management seriously. I was was working at the sawmill in Vavenby during the 2003 McLure fire, 5 years before the carbon tax. Lost work that summer because of that fire. Doesn't help that BC, I think the NDP, let the pine beetle run through this province. That dead wood is tinder for forest fires.
The bush trash left after clearcutting is has been impossible to deal with in B.C. There are sections above Youbou..beside Cowichan..that have remained bush trash for twenty years. Logging trucks travel on the adjacent road five days a week. Perhaps the incendiary Bowin Ma has a delayed interest in these long term emergencies. Or maybe the other massive intellect; a Mr Eby?
