@therufusdufus there’s always that disclaimer about how the depression meds can cause suicidal thoughts and actions in kids and teens. Which, when you think about it is counterproductive to the idea that this med is supposed to prevent such things
Exercising and meditation/deep breathing exercises and mindfulness simulates the exact same response as medication. Anybody who has ever been down that road and isn't completely ignorant about this knows how to at least combat it to some degree naturally.
I love the antidepressants that cause morbid obesity and that would freak me out and make me even more depressed but the good thing is it nulifies the brain and causes about 18 hours out of 24 of sleep it's not exactly rem sleep but your body feels at least tired at the end of it
The ultimate Ponzi scam you get people fat and depressed then they eat more thus getting fatter and more depressed. Then you take more of the antidepressants that don’t help you.
I have to take cymbalta from time to time for my nerve damage. When i am too far stressed, something quits working. Usually my arms. And i get addicted to cymbalta because it helps me sleep, and eases up the pain of my nerves. Then i get super fat, because cymbalta does that so does amitriptyline. So then i get phentermine. But at least my doctor knows the bs i go through and have been through. Otherwise i would be dead by now.

I agree. Bipolar disorder is also definitely a very destructive thing. Lots of people don't believe that anyone's experience could possibly be different than their own.
He must love the ads on tv today The person supposedly is taking this med laughing, jumping, jogging, swinging their grandchild around on the lawn, and side effects MAY include ( I love that) rash, blisters, diarrhea, loose teeth, heart disease, depression, suicisal thoughts, spontaneous bleeding from ears, psoriasis, swollen lymph nodes, and genital warts........but hey, look, THEIR happy about it, at least they don't have that pesty twitch on their lil toe..
I remember seeing those ads for Requip that talked about RLS (restless leg syndrome) and I didn't take it seriously, either. Then, it happened to me. It is hard to describe unless you've had it happen to you. The first time it happened to me was in 2010. It happens to me in attacks that last a day or two, and I get it in my arms, too. Sometimes I have it in both my arms and both or my legs, but other times it happens in just one arm or just one leg, or in one arm and one leg. It can happen in any combination. It makes it impossible to sleep or get comfortable. It's this really ticklish type of feeling, I'm not sure how else to describe it, and it's very uncomfortable. I wouldn't describe it as painful, but it's extremely uncomfortable and it's impossible to ignore. The thing is, when you move the limb it almost immediately reduces or eliminates the sensation. I even had my mom pound on my legs while I tried to go to sleep because that helped relieve the sensation. When you stop moving the limb, the sensation grows and grows. I've tried to just allow it to get as intense as it wants, but it reaches a point where the muscles will twitch or the limbs will move on their own. If I somehow manage to fall asleep during it, I get woken up with my leg(s) kicking or my arm(s) lifting up. Fortunately, my symptoms resolve themselves in a day or two and I don't require daily medication for RLS. I take an iron supplement along with other vitamins to increase dopamine and build healthy blood and I haven't had an attack (knock on wood) in 4 or 5 months. I feel very fortunate in that regard because some people have it all the time and require a medication to treat it, which doesn't always work and some of the side effects can be unpleasant. I do have a medication on hand that puts a stop to a severe attack, but it can be addictive so I am very careful to only use it during an attack, and then only if I need to get some sleep. I've never taken Requip. I was suggested it before if the attacks didn't resolve themselves, but I'm able to manage the symptoms at this point. I just hope it doesn't progress and we don't know very much about RLS. It's tied to low dopamine levels and low iron levels, but because people don't take it seriously it doesn't get the funding and research that's necessary to understand the disorder and find a proper cure. Wellbutrin is a fantastic medication for depression. Of the antidepressants I've tried, Wellbutrin was the most effective in combination with Lexapro. The only reason I'm not on it now is because I had a seizure. It wasn't caused by the Wellbutrin, but since it's contraindicated in people with a history of seizures because it slightly reduces the seizure threshold I was taken off the medication. Prescription medications have legitimately saved my life, and that's not just hyperbole. They've saved my life and increased my quality of living. I don't tend to get any side effects from these medication, either, which I know I am quite fortunate in that. So, if you know someone with RLS, just know it isn't the urge to bounce your leg up and down, it's a neurological condition.
Oh yeah, it’s the worst, gravol or Benadryl used to make it happen to me if I took two. Sometimes I’d take it to sleep and there were times when I thought I’d need two and it’s the worst mistake cuz you’ll never sleep when that shit starts lol. And yeah the sensation grows and grows till it moves involuntarily
That's called your foot, leg, etc falling asleep. Happens from prolonged lack of activity. Hyper prolonged lack of activity would lead to atrophied muscles, we wouldn't call it, "Muscle cease syndrome.". It's just normal and the way to prevent it is to make sure your feet, legs are active enough. If you find your foot, leg, etc, falling asleep, just softly work your way to waking it up. That simple.
. The side affect for that weight loss med (like all weight loss meds), is just like the symptoms if you have a bout with colitis (which is a chronic condition, meaning it never goes away, you just get it under control). and, well, I can attest that the pharmaceutical industry was on to something there. When ever my colitis flairs up, I loose a shite load of wright. (I once went from 150 lbs to 118 lbs in about 2 weeks).
