Cool! I have a signed Scotty Moore pickguard, but it wasn't signed under a contract to Gibson. It was signed when Scotty was at a Stray Cats concert decades ago. I had two fifties Gibson ES-295's at the time but ended up selling both. I kept the pickguard for some reason and just found it in a box in my closet. If i ever get a real fifties es-295 again i'll put it on it , but doubt i ever will be that lucky again. I sold over 170 of the most high end guitars you could imagine when i injured my arm. Now it's almost healed and i sold all my collection because i was feeling sorry for myself. lol
Can anyone tell me who bought this guitar please..? I've been looking for it for years & just seen this video.. It formerly belonged to me & the manager of the WHO owned it prior to me.. I bought it through a mutual contact 'Rick' of North Kings Road Vintage Guitar Emporium, London many years ago.. I was in a position at the time when I had to sell it due to financial reasons & it literally broke my heart to have to part with it.. I sold it to my friend Brian who owns Wunjo Guitars in Denmark Street, London & after a few weeks I rang to buy it back as I had some luck come my way & had enough money to buy it back.. Randy (a super cool staff member there) answered the phone midday, the first chance I had to call them & Randy had just sold it that morning & it was gone.. I was yet again heart broken.. I spoke with Brian who owns Wunjos & asked if there was any way to get it back by any means & he said there may be a chance that it would come back to him down the line as the guy who bought it was a stand in pro session guitarist for Status Quo among other things & Brian mentioned that sometimes he would come by when he had cash to splash & would buy cool guitars from him & other times he might be in need if some cash & sell some guitars back to him.. I have asked Brian so many times over the last 7 years since I bought it if it had turned up & alas there was never a sign of it again.. So to now find it here on TH-cam & I went straight to the website & to my dismay, discover it has already been sold again before I had the chance to buy my beloved 52' ES-295 back again.. 😪 If anyone has any information on how I can contact the mew owner or if the new owner sees .y comment here on this video.. please, please get in touch with me as I'd love to buy it back.. I have another Immaculate all gold original ES-295 among my collection but the one that stole my heart was the one in this video & I still kick myself for ever letting it go.. I really had no choice at the time but it is with high hopes & heartfelt sincerity that would be a guitar dream come true to be united with this (my old) ES-295 again X
