That's an unbelievably beautiful guitar. Even the tone is amazing. I can't find the words to say how I really feel so these will have to do. And it always makes me happy to see Norm flexing his musical muscles on whatever instrument he decides to play.
@@naj_z I know it’s hilarious. Any time picks up an instrument, Norm you’re ammmmaaaazing!!! why don’t you play more blah blah blah. He’s as average as Rogo. Only she’s more irritating cause she thinks she’s amazing. He’s average and that’s fine. I’m at best average myself and I’m fine with that too.
Yes . I remember Elvis dreamed of such a guitar, but it didn't work out, didn't grow together. What a pity . P.S. The guy in the video is very similar to the famous Lemmo "The King of Donuts". Mr. Harris, as always, is on fire. Old Guard)
The ES-295’s trapeze tailpiece is a longer version of the one used on 1952 and most of 1953 Les Pauls. Designed by Les in fact…his sole direct contribution to the Les Paul guitar (not counting the later LP models with low impedance pickups, which he had a *lot* to do with design-wise). Also possibly an unintended one, as it’s unclear whether he expected the trapeze to be used on the LP.
Please brother take care each other always like a true friends, a True Family! Not money, not business or dirty interest, not ego! Love. Most important LOVE FOREVER
"Little Beaver" eh? I bet I know who that is, but I'll save the surprise. Glad I've got a good sound system so I could actually hear Norm's bass. Cool.
In '68 I acquired the Chicago Polka King, Frankie Yankovic's guitar player's ES295. Frankie had a 1/2 hour Saturday AM show on Chicago's WGN (channel 9) and the 295's gold finish would flash on the screen Frankie made him spray the guitar a flat brown. Along with a tailpiece and bridge change the guitar was a mess. A local Gibson-authorized luthier refinished it for me but for health reasons refused to spray the gold. He did it in sunburst like a 175. It turned up at Bizarre Guitars about 15 years ago, looking the same but fit with humbuckers.
I love the ES 295! Gibson had such a great history in making beautiful hollow body guitars, why the heck don't they make them anymore?! They're concentrating on the "easy" workmanship that goes into making solid bodies, les pauls in particular. It's a real pity.
What a combination...wow, Lemmo the wiz and Norm. Lemmo, still simply the best, hey would be good to hear Lemmo and Jen doing a duo....😄😄 awesome stuff guys. As always, love, best wishes and blessings from Kruger National Park, South Africa.
I often wonder if the " stars" of this video ever find the time to read and reply to some of the wonderful and complimentary comments on this platform, would be so awesome, specially from the folk in far away places and countries. Precious times.🙂🙂
I’ll sign you too up when do you want to start on the album let’s get Pierce into it too. I throughly enjoyed it wow Norm you devil you, I know you want to leap out of your skin again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
"Holy Frijoles Batman !, when have you ever seen one of these?", "You are exactly right Robin, I have NEVER seen one of these, let alone one that's as old as Me...perhaps we should let the Professionals give us all a demonstration of this fine instrument". "Golly Jeepers Batman that would be cool".... "Indeed Robin, indeed."
Kings and Queens!!! Nice
Awesome job LEMMO thanks for letting us be a part of your day.
Dream guitar... I've been a life long Bryan Adams fan and as soon as I saw him play this on stage, I knew I had to have one. Maybe one day!
And YES, he played KILLING JOKE!
Scrolling the comments for a mention of this. Geordie Walker is a beast. I got a 295 because of that man.
@@shitfer I just did that. Geordie Walker is a legend.
Looks like brand new..check..check. Yes, it has beautiful finish with beautiful check. What a sweetheart!! Sounds great!
You know something is the bomb when Lemmo takes his rings off.
More Norm guest appearances please!
Absolutely. It’s nice to see a shop owner play as well 🥰
That's an unbelievably beautiful guitar. Even the tone is amazing. I can't find the words to say how I really feel so these will have to do. And it always makes me happy to see Norm flexing his musical muscles on whatever instrument he decides to play.
Nice to see Norm joining in! Well played Norm! Cool guitars, the both of them.
Something special when you see a boss and a co-worker actually like each other! Especially when they can jam out like that! However! Gotta do a Maton!
the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen
Norm is killing on that precision bass! Awesome 😎 🎶 👏🏻
What a beautiful instrument and what a cool jam. Also the first tune sounded fantastic on the neck pickup. 🙌👏
It’s a lemmo classic
@@loopybahamas672 yes I remember. It’s a great tune👍👏
This is honestly one of the coolest “guitar of the day” I’ve ever watched!
Finally. This is one of the models I've been waitin' to see on GOTD. I love it. Sounds awesome. I love guitars with P90s.
Great looking guitar, a gold Gibson is so cool. Two guys laying down the groove at Norman’s Rare Guitars, putting a smile on everybody’s face. Thanks.
I love this. I think this is the first time I’ve seen Norm play.
What the guitar! Special, so special. I really think this is the guitar that the angels play in the sky! Sounds strange but it is true!
This might be my favorite guitar of the day video soul duet. love
I was going to be bummed Greg wasn't there, but Norm pulled it off fabulously! Still miss you Greg, and Todd !
Lovely to hear it unplugged as well
LEMMO!! Thumping Thursday… P90s… sick neck… my Lord just beautiful
Dayum!!!! Norm thumpin!!! Sounds great guys, Norm is a stellar bass player…
Don’t do that American over exited thing… he is ok, but certainly certainly not stellar in any way
@@naj_z I know it’s hilarious. Any time picks up an instrument, Norm you’re ammmmaaaazing!!! why don’t you play more blah blah blah. He’s as average as Rogo. Only she’s more irritating cause she thinks she’s amazing.

Thank you SO MUCH for demo-ing acoustically...
I wish you'd do that for all guitars
Maravilloso !! Norm y Michael juntos la rompen !!! Saludos.
These videos are the best on TH-cam! You cannot change my mind.
Just such a great player, love that second instrumental
Great job Norm!!!
Good to hear some groovy jams on such prime instruments!!!
See you guys soon!
That Precision is gorgeous. Nrm should play bass more often, it was cool.
Nice guitar with great P90 tones ... I've seen Bryan Adams using one as a live performance strummer in recent years.
Beautiful Norm did it again so clean 👍

Norm for the win, pulling out a thumping Thursday with a flower guitar !
Wonderful, original guitar in super-mint condition - and it sounds even better than it looks. Absolutely stunning !
Beautiful how it resonates. Norm is no slouch.
Praise be to Michael Lemmo for playing one of my favorite KJ songs, on the same guitar Geordie uses. Haha, the jam with Norm was cool too!
Never heard of little 🦫! Fantastic bass playing.

Nice bass chops, Norm!
Geordie Walker’s guitar of choice.

Learned a new groovy song from Little Beaver ❤
Just got the late 90’s Epiphone version, these guitars are so classy
Top shelf business right there!
Wow Awesome
Killing Joke guitar!
YESS
Fans of the ES-295 and Scotty Moore should be aware of Joel Paterson, one of the finest ES-295 slingers ever.
Nice duet!
Norm was digging on that bass ! Good job
Norm gettin down! 👍👍👍
Norm you are really good Bass playing
Dang norms on bass, lets get the band back together.
Animals at Night. . . .
This one is pretty special
I doubt you’ll ever find a more mint example of a 295 due to how much those finishes can oxidize.
wonderfull guitar
That bass in white just makes me think Larry Graham
Ausome bass by Norm.
That P-Bass matched Norm's jazz dot. Cool.
