Magic band..RIP Phil Lynott So many fantastic songs and albums. Thanks so much for this.. Really took me back to some very special memories of my youth.. Best wishes from France 🤘👍
Phil Lynott on Bass/ Vocals, Brian Robertson on Guitar ( Deep V 😆 ) , Scott Gorham on the other Guitar and Brian Downey on Drums. Phil Lynott passed away on the 4th January 1986 . RIP
I wore out a cassette tape of Live and Dangerous. I was 18 when it came out. Im 64 now and still like to jam out to it. It was a long time ago and what a time it was.
I’ve lived in the Detroit area my whole life, and remember Rosalie that ran my favorite radio station CKLW that is no longer around. She had the respect from many artists like Bob Seger. Unfortunately, I learned that a guitarist that joined Thin Lizzy in 1982 passed away at 65 from Cancer this past weekend, John Sykes.
This is a cover of Bob Segars original Rosalie . . Its about Rosalie Trombley who was a programe director and gave many bands their first airplay . . . Till next time ladys take care . Bye from NZ💐💐💐👋🇳🇿🍻twa
I liked this song and remember as a kid hearing the Bob Seger version on Detroit area radio stations. I also remember listening to the Canadian radio station across the river from Detroit, CKLW that Rosalie ran. Of course Bob Seger is from Ann Arbor Michigan about 50 miles west of Detroit. I like Thin Lizzy a lot but never really knew about Gary Moore’s solo work until I learned that on your channel.
Yes, this is a Bob Segar song originally. I got to see them twice. Once in the late 70s in Iowa with Phil, then again in 2011 without him sadly.😇 At the Grand Sierra Resort Casino Reno I met Scott Gorham (long straight hair guitar). Best twin guitar band around.
Thin Lizzzy Song's : 1. Dancing in the moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight) , 2. Don’t believe a word , 3. Whiskey in a jar , 4 Still in love with you , 5. Sarah ( version 3) 5. waiting for an Alibi , 6. Soldier of fortune , 7 Bad reputation , 8. Warriors , 9. Chinatown. 10. Fools Gold. Phil Lynott also has some great solo songs one my favourites is Old Town.
This band is one of the most underrated bands ever! Ive been digging these guys since 1973. In my top 5 all time. They are soooooo much more than one top 40 song. Next up try out The Cowboy Song. Great reaction ladies. You've made my day again ❤❤❤.
High five 🖐️ to Donna for recognizing Thin Lizzy 's The Boys Are Back In Town. Their most known song. I know this song but didn't know Bob Seger wrote it. Bruce Springsteen has a song named Rosalita. Different song. First time watching this live video. Lead singer and bass player also recorded and played with guitar genius Gary Moore. I suggest their music video Out In The Fields. Great vocal performance by both and bass/guitar playing. ❤❤❤
Possibly my favourite cover version of all time. This was a mimed performance of a single released from the Live and Dangerous album, filmed at the time the band was recording their Live and Dangerous concert video at the Rainbow Theatre in 1978. Still in Love With You from Live and Dangerous shows a different side to the band, and is one of their best performances, in my opinion.
Not sure if you Texas girls know, the singer Phil Lynott, born Dublin, Ireland, was obsessed with Texas. He absolutely loved Texas and never stopped talking about the Lone Star State.. RIP Phil..
Thin Lizzy My Favourite Band 🇮🇪 So Many Great Songs This Band Has In Their Glorious Catalogue, RIP Philip Paris Lynott 💚 Other Lizzy Songs Worth Checking Out? A band like Metallica are huge fans of Thin Lizzy themselfs, thats how iconic and legendary this band is. Metallica covered one of theyr own songs called Whiskey In The Jar. My favourite song by Thin lizzy is: The Boys Are Back In Town.
the true glam from the 70's... im a big 80's glam lover so its fun to see the sort of fathers of glam... catchy lyrics, great clothes, explosions, lights and a show.... happy upbeat stuff.
It's a pity that Thin Lizzy never had commercial success in the US besides the 1 album 'Jailbreak' in 1976 (half million copies sold - gold sales) ... They continued to have success in Europe until their final album 'Thunder and Lightning' in 1983. Metallica covered Thin Lizzy's version of 'Whiskey in the jar'... Megadeth covered Thin Lizzy's 'Cold sweat'... Iron Maiden cited Thin Lizzy as a huge influence for their dual-lead guitar harmonies.
Thin Lizzy | Rosalie...I only know your football song. So Thank You for this one. It is by Bob Seger? I love Bob Seger. Not one of my top picks by him and I like Thin Lizzy's cover.
Thin Lizzy where a huge group in the UK and if Phil .Lynott hadn't died they also would have been part of the 2nd wave British rock invasion of the USA [late 70s early 80s] with out a doubt
More lizzy please girls .i just found your channel and i cant stop smiling at your reactions...awesome ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Magic band..RIP Phil Lynott

Yes it is!! I was introduced to them by my English table tennis trainer who liked to play this album a lot.
Agree. I like Bob Seger, but this cover on Live and Dangerous takes the song to another level.
THIS is how you do a cover the RIGHT WAY!!!!!!!!! They made it their own!
Phil was a proud Irish man and an icon in Ireland
This is a fantastic band that should've been much bigger than what they were! ❤
Phil Lynott on Bass/ Vocals, Brian Robertson on Guitar ( Deep V 😆 ) , Scott Gorham on the other Guitar and Brian Downey on Drums.

Deep V (Brian Robertson) is a great guitar player and he has a great voice as well. The fact that he's not hard to look at is a plus! 😁
They played this when i went to see them for the 1st time in 1975

Brian Robertson I think.
