Fantastic documentary! I was 7 when the Monkees made their debut. I was hooked on them, their TV show and their music, and have been for 58 years. I am so thankful that I got to meet all of them in the 80’s. The Monkees will always hold a very BIG and special place in my heart as one of my all time favorite bands! 💖

Okay! I kept wondering why in a spot on the TV show the Monkees are sitting in a room that is CLEARLY the house at Morning Glory circle on Bewitched. If it all came from the same company then I guess that's why, it was driving me nuts why they were at the Stephens house. The thing about Bewitched is it was about Intercultural Marriage which was a hot topic back in the 1960s.
The Monkees were unique. A TV show about a boy band that became reality. Sure they had help. They didn't write, direct and edit 22 zany minutes of TV containing two original songs every week. My big sister loved Neil Diamond and told me half the songs on other's albums had his writing credit. A slight exaggeration but the same thing for session players. The four played, Boyce and Hart helped. There was no shame in hiring writers, directors, and choreographers for the show and no shame in the idea of using temps to fill in on piano or bass. It had been done long before TV was invented. ❤

They are my favorite band. I was in love with Davy Jones. He is in my heart forever. I hope I meet him in heaven. Love my Monkees forever
