Hi Helen, thanks for the shoutout. Great video and absolutely crushed the food reviews. It was a challenge to watch on an empty stomach, and not to mention how much we miss Taiwan and Taiwanese cuisine. Surprised that on a Friday midday, Jiufen wasn’t more crowded. When we went in mid April of last year, it was difficult to make our way in the alleyways. The Keelung hike was beautiful but on a hot day, it would be blazing since there’s no shades except for a few pagodas. Next time you return to Taipei, you need to make it to Keelung night market. Arguably it may be even bigger and possibly better street foods than in Taipei. Thanks again, really enjoyed the content.
You’re welcome! You’re one of our OG subscribers so when you brought up food vlog and we went back to Taiwan, we just had to give you a shout-out. This video was super hard to edit especially when we got hungry. Jifuen wasn’t as crowded as we thought it would be, definitely got lucky. Still packed though compared to the first time we went during a rainstorm. Will definitely check out the Keelung Night Market next time! Thanks for watching and appreciate your support ☺️🤙🏽
Helen and Tim, thank you for another excellent travel video! I’m amazed that you’re still traveling. Wonderful! I look forward to seeing you again someday in St. George. As you know, there is a lot to do and see here, and Helen can practice her Mandarin with my wife. Regards, Craig Herron
Thanks, Craig! Hope you and your wife are well. We are still on the road. 16 months in. We will definitely consider a stop there. Appreciate the invite. Helen always enjoy practicing her mandarin. Take care!
great video, cant wait to visit this fall! did you had issue with the mic in this one, the sound kept switching from mono to stereo, must admit it did hurt my ears a bit since i was wearing hedphones...
Thanks so much! Excited to you to visit this fall. Are you visiting Taipei and other parts to? Sorry about the audio issues. We aren’t quite sure what happened! We noticed the sound quality issue after we filmed and our theory is we don’t think the microphone was plugged in all the way. We were definitely annoyed by it too ☹️
@@HelenandTimTravel good enough if its an easy fix for you guys at least would be a shame to have to replace the entire mic☺ ! and yes i'll be travelling around the country for a month, trying to hit all the big cities. your taroko vlog gave me such fomo, i dont have much hope i'll be able to see it after the earthquake damages 😭
