- Shifen and Jiufen are both renowned as two of the most popular day trip destinations from Taipei, each just 1 hour away, allowing you to witness the beauty of the Niagara Falls of Taiwan, Shifen Waterfall. Afterward, proceed to the town known as the inspiration for "Spirited Away," Jiufen Old Street.
As a little bonus in between, we also explored a hiking trail not too far away, namely the Bitoujiao Trail-a relaxing 20-minute hike to savor the golden hues of the sunset sky.

I went on the 1st of Jan 2024, it was packed! I arrived to Shifen around 11AM not too early
