  • @allorgansnobody

    I love those moments where you enter in some unusual chord for the arp, and then quickly rush to the controls to change something drastic and shift the tone. It's just that rolling with the mistakes but between the notes being played and the sound of the synth itself, I love it.

  • @s4lome792
    @s4lome792 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    How does this rythm change at around 4:00 happen?:0 nice work!

    • @nebula0697
      @nebula0697 4 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      If you notice at that point he starts playing just one note every time he hits the keyboard. Before he played four-note chords. Since the arp is set to play two octaves and in the upward direction, when he plays a four-note chord that yields eight notes and when he plays just one note that yields 3 notes. So it depends how you count but the first rhythm is easy to hear either as 4th or 8th notes in 4/4 and the second rhythm easy to hear as triplets either in 3/4, 6/8, or even 4/4 but with one triplet on each beat. When you get to play with an arp a lot you discover how you can use that to create half-time and double time feels.

      @@necronorris Moog Sound Studio 1 was my second synth purchase and first Moog. It is most definitely worth it if you're looking for semi-modular goodness/exploration and love that Moog sound. Mother-32 has a very powerful sequencer and it's got many different uses thanks to the patch bay. DFAM really takes the cake though. It really comes alive when constantly tweaked and played.
