I live in ashe county nc. The flood caused me to reexamine my prepping. Communications and power was where I feel short. My solar power systems were purchased in 2020 and i never followed through on my learning. Im doing the research now and this is one of the better channels. Thanks. Anyone near by interested in trading or bartering skills or items, please let me know. Im an excellent carpenter and permaculturist. Would love to pay or trade for help with this solar.
Oh wow, I know ashe county was hit really hard. Hope you and yours fared better than most! Yea, my rule of thumb on battery capacity is to figure out how much storage capacity you THINK you need, and then double it. I wish you were nearby cuz it sounds like you have the skills I could use in a barter scenario because I'm not physically capable of building things anymore (autoimmune nervous system disorder) but I have lots of solar stuff lol. I'm going to be doing a lot more of the hands-on diy type content after the first of the year, as well as more pre-fab power station stuff because I think the power stations have really come a long way in the past couple of years and can be a good option in a lot of scenarios for a lot of people. Also, this is still one of my favorite batteries. I have 2 now and plan to get a couple more.
In a previous video you mentioned about trying to keep brands the same between equipment. Does this company have inverters and such? Or did I misunderstand and the battery not being the same brand as the inverter is not a big deal, it's more that the other equipment is the same? Subscribed to your other channel by the way. Looking forward to the next video!
No they don't have anything except batteries. There are only a small handful of companies that have a complete product line like that, and I was simply explaining the benefits of having brand continuity, but it is certainly not a requirement. Note also, this is a 24v battery, and even the Litime brand does not sell 24v inverters. To get a brand continuity across everything in anything larger than 12v, you would need to step up to brand like Sungold Power. I do not have any Sungold Power equipment to demonstrate with at this time. So far on the channel I have focused on 12v setups, but I will be moving into some larger 24v and 48v systems as I go. 12v is a great starter setup, and 24v is more practical for systems a bit larger like a tiny home etc, and 48v is the best for large systems to power a whole house. When you start going up in voltage like that, things usually start to get more expensive, so I feel like this is an incredible deal for a 100ah 24v battery.
Hmm, just checked... and it's still $389 with amazon prime (it's more without prime, which is kinda weird to me), and it still has a 10% off coupon as well, but the $30 off coupon is now gone.

the intro music gets me every time lol
Run 48V at minimum to run a modern home.
It saves a lot on conductors.
Great deal
