    Great stream, I`m a viewer from the county of Cornwall in the UK and this reminds me of my days as a kid on my neighbours farm, covering all aspects of the daily routine from milking, cleaning all equipment after use, on to planting of crops and of course harvest time with hay and corn, much the same as your day really, the farm was my second home, so far as i`m concerned there`s no better upbringing. The connection with and observing nature teaches you soo much, looking forward to the next stream, keep safe.

    Tay, I'm always amazed at your talent to easily explain step by step, your activities. Did you ever have any formal college training, after high school? Your ability to explain things clearly, w/o stumbling! Perhaps you were just born a natural genius! You really do great!

    Love love your videos Tay.. You and Brent are a good team . I grew up on a small dairy farm in southern Vermont .We milk 50 head. Your videos remind me so much of my younger years working with my dad. I love everything about farming. I really miss haying and harvesting corn the most. In one of your vidoes you were going to Ny and you passed thru St Albans Vt. That is where my 27 year old son lives. Beautiful little town.. Stay safe and keep the great vidoes coming. Tell Brent hello and God bless you both 💞

    There's a white lithium grease that works wonders on auto door hinges and tension springs that will not make the squeaking go away , but it keeps the hinges from wearing out for many decades .
    Even heavy motor oil can help a whole lot as well . That's what we used many many years ago .

    Those Rakers must be driven by the wheels unless they have started putting pto on pick up trucks.
    I wonder how much modern machinery will still be working 60 years from now like those rakers. Just goes to show how well that stuff was made back then. Keep on blabbering Taylor, it's great to see such enthusiasm for farming.

    What another awesome video Taylor thanks. The grass must be fairly thick as your certainly making the tractor work. Did i just see you miss your mouth! 😅.There sure was a few bugs. That buzzing is torture it would do my tinnitus the world of good. Good job it's not dark going through there or it would freak you out. Love that saying you may as well be comfortable if you're working all day, just shows you don't need all the fancy new stuff to do a good job. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.

    I enjoy watching you work the equipment. I guess that's why farm girls are so popular. If they are like you, they have a kind and beautiful soul. They are not afraid of doing hard work and if they are like you, they get along with the people on the crew. Now that I am 63 and retired, I feel like I have missed out on a good life by not sticking to my roots, but yesterday is over so I'll just watch you and ride along. I'm so happy I found your channel. Please be careful. I know you are every day as you are conscious of the equipment you're working with. My dad told the stories of people clowning around the tractors and implements and getting wrapped around the PTO. Most of them didn't live after the accident. other were so messed up that they couldn't work. Maybe you could do a video about what all the moving parts mean and how dangerous it is to not be safety vigilant. However, I have seen no goofing around by you. You are a fantastic example for young women to observe if they want to get into farming!

    Very nice opening shot of the cows on pasture! I had to chuckle a little during this vid. I could totally relate was part of it. In the deep south, weather forecasts in the summer are about determining if it is a 2, 3, or 4 shirt day. It's GOING to be hot and muggy. How many shirts will you need to get through the day? My chuckle came with your first shirt. You're all GIRL and I didn't even notice right away but finally it was clear that it had a pretty, lacy strip down both sides. But your all FARMER too and nothing gets thrown away until it's FARMER worn out! That means making hay and fixing a manure spreader in it before it becomes a grease rag. And I chuckled. I could totally relate! THAT'S why I like you and what you do - you're completely authentic. Way to go! Blessings!!

    The hay bale fell off to act as a cushion to prevent damage to the grain/dump truck when your tires started spinning and the tractor had to give a little push.
    The hay the cows do not like, see if there is a sheep farmer around. That back field with the cedars all around, curious what the ph is.

  • @1striperon
    @1striperon 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Ferns grow in acidic soil, meaning that the pH is near 4.0. Corn grows better in 6.0 to 6.5 pH. You probably need some lime on the land you are planting to corn. Love the cows in the pasture.

    Hardly dull at all. I liked your reaction to all the bugs! "ewww!" I like Brent's reasoning for using his pickup--it's more comfortable than the tractor. You can't top that. Good luck with all the heat. When I was listening to the national weather about the heat wave, they always throw in Maine for the boundary as to how far it will stretch to the east. You guys are about as east as we get in the US. Great video, Taylor!
