In case no one has mentioned it, Laz Alonso (MM) has been public about some health issues that required him to drop some weight. As far as I know, it's nothing super-serial, but he wanted to trim down for his health. Good on you, Laz, I honestly mean it when I say that your health is more important than our entertainment.
Totally agree…but did he have to shave the beard? The beard ups his coolness/intimidation by like 20%

My worst fear has been that it’s a Chadwick Boseman situation where there is obviously a reason he’s lost weight but it’s nobody’s business and all he’s getting is criticism
@@TBoring To be honest, he doesn't look that much physically smaller in passing to me (I'm sure if you do a side-by-side it'd be noticeable). It's the lack of beard that truly makes him *look* different.

I feel like they almost immediately ran into the South Park problem, in that it's kinda hard to write anything more ridiculous than what is actually currently happening. In this case their solution is to just blatantly copy reality lol.
I'm probably over thinking this, but I think this show is going to be a very interesting time capsule. As reality gets more ludicrous, the show gets less subtle. Which I'm totally here for.
They were never subtle. lol People just ignored it because they were more focused on the blood, guts and nudity.

the boys takes the joker's experiment with batman in "the dark knight" in the complete opposite direction. "madness is like gravity, all it needs is a little push."
It kinda makes sense for Neumann to have that level of invulnerability - she has the same powers as Marie, who survived a full-power blast from Homelander unscathed

Remember in Gen V, Marie survived Homelander's laser vision. Her powers are possibly identical to Victoria Neuman so now we know why.
Two facts, the octopus is voiced by Tilda Swinton no kidding and Newman's actress reaction to the butthole was actually real 😂
It was such an amazing mix of 95% disgust and 5% admiration for Butcher's move 😅

My theory is that Newmann's invulnerability is actually part of her blood control power. She reactively uses her own blood in some way to reinforce her body. That would explain why Marie from Gen V, who has the same power, survived Homelander lasering her. If this is true, she might only be invulnerable if she saw the attack coming, like Huey throwing something in her face or Billy putting a gun to her head. She might be vulnerable to a sniper shot or alike, or if shes constantly doing it, vulnerable in her sleep. Marie could cut herself so its not innate.
The invulnerability doesn't have to be a part of her powers, just her supe physiology - Annie's powers is her light and energy stuff and she took a .50 round from Butcher straight to the chest in season 1, just knocked her to the ground like she'd been kicked
@@knightmare4214that 👆 plus how often has Homelander even used his lasers on other supes? It’s almost always used on regular humans. We have no idea how it would affect most supes..

As far as I can tell, every Supe has at least some degree of super-strength and invulnerability, regardless of what their other powers might be. Certain Supes like Homelander, Maeve, and Soldier Boy are extra strong/tough, but as far as I can tell, based on the text of the show, part of having super-powers is being able to 1) punch a gigantic marble column hard enough to break it; 2) be able to take said punch and not have all of your organs explode.
@@misterderp4566 Not Quite. Butcher beat Mesmer to death in season 1. Laser eyes cut right through Gunpowder. Translucent had toughness but showed no sign of superstrength judging from his fist fight with Butcher.
Fun Fact: The book Sage was reading was written by Eric Kripke's cousin, Saul Kripke.
Shouldn't really surprise you that Neuman didn't get hurt by acid or bullets - Annie in season 1 punched through walls and took a .50 round straight to the chest from Butcher and it was like she had been kicked in the gut

I think all, or at least most, supes are very physically resilient. Butcher shot Starlight (twice) in the chest, and when Temp V Hughie punched A-Train, A was surprised that it hurt.
Most, not all. Mesmer got bludgeoned by Butcher.

I've never felt as much anxiety from a character walking into a room as I have any time Homelander is on screen.
Everyone being surprised these supes are bulletproof must be forgetting Annie taking a sniper round to the chest and just getting the wind knocked out of her lol
Remember in season 1 Annie took a high powered sniper rifle ahot to the chest. I think a lot of supes are bulletproof. Aldo Amazing shirt Adam!

P.S. The very same actor as before is playing the new Black Noir in the suit, he's just playing a different person, and is allowed to speak.
(A yet different actor played Noir in the early flashback where we saw his face get mangled.)
Also, Tilda Swinton is the octopus. And the Neunan actress' reaction to the photo at the end was genuine.
When Butcher sent over the "Files" I suspect they didn't tell her & it was a genuine reaction, you can see she seems legitimately surprised & trying not to laugh.

Do you think there is going to be a Jan 6 type scene since they mentioned when congress swears in, as a future event? I wonder if the hometeamers storm the capital and Nueman has to defend herself and ends up putting her Supe abilities?
In the comics, Homelander actually dies extremely gruesomely twice. So I’m guessing this show is either gonna make his death the most graphic in the series, or they could have him get depowered and live life as one of the faceless mortals he has feared this hole time. And honestly, from his perspective, that might be worse than actually dying…and that could drive homelander to kill himself. He just jumps in front of A-Train at the end of next season, just to tie it all back to episode 1 of season 1.

@previewd Adam, Black Noir II couldn't be Sam. Remember Kate made him pretty much void of all emotions in GEN V. So, he wouldn't have responded that way after bashing those Hometeamers' heads in. Plus, the OG actor since Season 1 is in the costume and that's him speaking.
