Spend about $12 and get yourself a Wheel Hanger Alignment tool, thread it in to the uppermost lug hole it makes it so much easier to mount and dismount your wheels.
Would you run the 20mm in the front also or do you think you would have rub issues at that point ? I’m about to do the same set up just can’t decide weather to run 15 in front or 20? I’m also doing this to a mk5 (not a 7) & at stock ride height then doing maybe a 1-2” lowering spring after and eventually buying wheels. Same boat as you lol Thanks for the awesome video by the way man ! Really great !
Stupid question but what are drill socket size snd other attachments are you using to take the wheels of. Noob here snd I just Purchase a impact drill.
Im considering getting wheel spacers for this summer. Obviously its recommended to retorque after some milage but is this just to be 100% im driving everyday and if i have to retorque once per week its kind of an inconvenience. Did u retorque very often.
@@ColoredinLight Oh okay, so you only fender rolled in the front? I have a mk6.5 GLI just looking around to see good fitment vids. Looking to get Audi peelers with spacers and lowering springs.
My driveway is a weird shape and I dont rub. On hard dips in the road, the tires made a tint bit of contact with the inner fender liner screw. I recently removed that and bent the tab like everyone suggests and it's all good now
That is one sweet looking Golf!
Subscribed for the VW content! Loving the build so far. Keep it up!
Thanks for the sub and encouragement!

Liking the GTI content. The spacers look good. I think I’m going to go with the H&R OE springs and I want some different wheels.
The HR springs are great so far! Will have a review next week
Great build I have one like it and like to see what works for my own

Do you know what shank length they gave you for the 15mm and 20mm spacers?
Correct me if i am wrong, but people say to use some copper grease on the spacers before fitting them?
Wouldnt hurt to

I can't remember exactly, but I use a 17mm with the new lug nuts on the stud conversion kit I have now.
Hey fam, I’m thinking on getting a pair for my Elantra N… any review after 2 years???
All good!
Are you worried about the wheels falling off? Or is Garage Line a reputable company?
Not at all. The spacers are well made and come with extended hardware.

I dont retorque at all, I havent heard that before
Good to hear. I guess thats sort of a personal opinion. How are the spacers running so far?
@@MrDiamond1000 still all good, pulling daily driving duties with no problems
Good to hear man, car looks great. thanks again for the help.
hey man im just wondering if you got an alignment
and if you did befoore or after spacers
No I havent gotten and alignment yet lol. It doesnt track left or right and my tires are crummy so when I get new ones I'll be sure to align properly
@@ColoredinLight ok yea im just trying to find out how urgent it is to get one
Any rubbing issues with the spacers and sport springs?
Front rubbed a little due to that weird little fender tab. Once I bent those up I've had no issues. A lot of people have to make that adjustment.

No not even a fender roll. Theres this little metal tab on the mk7 that has a bolt to hold the fender liner. Not sure on the mk6 platform though
Do you rub or anything are you able to go on your driveway with no problem?

stock shocks?
Yea the adjustable dampening ones. I know the springs wear the shocks out but by the time they fail I might be ready for coilovers
damn.....there you go again....just leave that car alone until you get the other one going .... any update on the 2.5 ?
Nah
your Golf looks good. I love cars like U
bring the car outside next video
It was raining
