    Spend about $12 and get yourself a Wheel Hanger Alignment tool, thread it in to the uppermost lug hole it makes it so much easier to mount and dismount your wheels.

    Liking the GTI content. The spacers look good. I think I’m going to go with the H&R OE springs and I want some different wheels.

    Would you run the 20mm in the front also or do you think you would have rub issues at that point ? I’m about to do the same set up just can’t decide weather to run 15 in front or 20?
    I’m also doing this to a mk5 (not a 7) & at stock ride height then doing maybe a 1-2” lowering spring after and eventually buying wheels. Same boat as you lol
    Thanks for the awesome video by the way man ! Really great !

    Do you know what shank length they gave you for the 15mm and 20mm spacers?

    Correct me if i am wrong, but people say to use some copper grease on the spacers before fitting them?

      I can't remember exactly, but I use a 17mm with the new lug nuts on the stud conversion kit I have now.

    Are you worried about the wheels falling off? Or is Garage Line a reputable company?

    • @ColoredinLight
      @ColoredinLight  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not at all. The spacers are well made and come with extended hardware.

    Im considering getting wheel spacers for this summer. Obviously its recommended to retorque after some milage but is this just to be 100% im driving everyday and if i have to retorque once per week its kind of an inconvenience. Did u retorque very often.

    • @ColoredinLight
      @ColoredinLight  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I dont retorque at all, I havent heard that before

    Any rubbing issues with the spacers and sport springs?

    • @ColoredinLight
      @ColoredinLight  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Front rubbed a little due to that weird little fender tab. Once I bent those up I've had no issues. A lot of people have to make that adjustment.

    • @Dfowlkes95
      @Dfowlkes95 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColoredinLight Oh okay, so you only fender rolled in the front? I have a mk6.5 GLI just looking around to see good fitment vids. Looking to get Audi peelers with spacers and lowering springs.

    • @ColoredinLight
      @ColoredinLight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No not even a fender roll. Theres this little metal tab on the mk7 that has a bolt to hold the fender liner. Not sure on the mk6 platform though

  • @ralphmurillo1206

    Do you rub or anything are you able to go on your driveway with no problem?

    • @ColoredinLight
      @ColoredinLight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My driveway is a weird shape and I dont rub. On hard dips in the road, the tires made a tint bit of contact with the inner fender liner screw. I recently removed that and bent the tab like everyone suggests and it's all good now
