I ordered a set of 18x8.5 42 offset konig heliograms with Bridgestone potenza sport in 235 40 18 from tirerack, they mounted and balanced tires free and included center rings and bolts. Centerrings are prefitted all i gotta do is install. Cant wait 😬

Great, concise and thorough video. Look forward to more content. I also have 7.5R in Indium and these wheels look great on yours. I also bought a set of satin bronze wheels (superspeed rf03rr) prior to this vid, awaiting anxiously for delivery. I wasn't sure how bronze would turn out on Indium but I think I also made the right choice. PS -I'm sure you have your reasons, but I find tightening the wheel bolts from 3 o'clock and downward a lot easier since you just use your weight, rather than pulling up from 9 o'clock.

Nice, and Pretorias are notorious for cracking or buckling it's a good investment to put these on the car so when you sell it put the nice looking but weak stock ones back on lol 1 so people don't think the car has been tracked or dragged and 2 probably retains value having perfect condition stock rims. I really love the look of these and the tyre combo I'd probably not go bronze if I had a choice but I'd certainly take them in that colour if that's all they come in 😊

Hi I've got a problem my mk7.5 R had the front tyres rubbing the side wall on the original 19inch Pretoria. I recently downsized to 18inch 235/40 with an offset of 45 and the problem became worst. This time the front and back tyres was rubbing the side walls on road depressions. This problem went away when I had them changed to with original mk8 golf Gti rim which had an offset of 49. The problem is there aren't many rims aftermarket option for an offset 49 to fir 18inch/235/40 tyre. Any advise guys

  • @chriskelvin248

That's interesting. By going from a 19" to a 18" tire and increasing the width by 20mm, the new tire tire weight went up by ~2 lbs each. The stock tire and wheel weighed in @ 42.5 lbs. The 19" Pretoria is known to weigh 22.2 lbs so the stock Continentals must weigh 20.3 lbs. Your upgrade Koenig Hypergrams in 18 x 8.5 are advertised @ 17.4 lbs so the 18/35-255 Michelin PS4s tires must weigh 22.4 lbs. Yes, it's a net 1 lb savings per corner which is good and the added sidewall will increase pothole resistance/ road comfort by X amount, not to mention the phenomenal performance reputation of those Michelins.
