4411 is one of the best formations in this FC era. I like it better than 442 as the strikers get gobbled up and there’s nothing linking attack and midfield.

What different between 4231 and 4411?
The two Centre Midfielders sit deeper in the CDM position in the 4231 so you wouldn't have the Playmaker, B2B or Half Winger roles available to use, you can only use Centre Half, DLP and Holding for the CDMs in 4231. With 4411 you have 5 available roles for the CM positions, if you struggle to defend with using CMs in midfield you may have to use 4231 instead of 4411. I like the formation created in this video except I would change the defence setup slightly because if you lose possession in the opponents half and the Left Centre Midfield Playmaker has already moved into the LAM position you can get exposed in that half space on the counter and potentially overloaded depending on the opponents formation. I would have the LB as a Falseback on Balanced so they fill the space the playmaker vacates when moving into the LAM position (and also due to the position the Falseback takes up in Midfield you have the possibility to take control of that player to regain possession quickly and stop the counter) and have the RB as a Inverted Fullback creating a 3 at the back, where there is 1 defender covering centrally and 1 in the left defensive half space and 1 in the right half space to address a threat coming from the wings prior to your team getting back into their without the ball shape.
