    WAAAAY Overpriced... it's based on an 11 year old (2013) architecture. Compared to the original KingKorg, you lose 2 octaves of keys. NO CV out, NO final stage analogue tube to warm stuff up.. All they have done, (which was needed), is remove most of the cheesy (approx 20ish) DWGS & PCM waves, and replace them with better sounding, useful synth waves. But this in no way justifies the near GRAND price mark... this is a £5-600 synth tops.

    Every compact Korg should come with a discount code for a Dremel so we can optionally cut the keyboard off ourselves. I'd buy a second King Korg if these controls fit in 19" rack
    I don't get why tiny companies like Modal Electronics can offer flexible form factors but Korg's last rack synth was probably.. the RADIAS!?

      I wish also 19" back, why they stopped with this?

    I've been eyeballing the KingKorg for sometime. It's a great sounding synth.This one is a reintroduction with less keys and look, which is nice.Hopefully the price will be reasonable to this.

      Bear in mind it doesn’t have the valve of the original, so a bit less warm. But overall, KingKorg is vastly underrated. It outspecs the Nord Lead 4 in numerous ways.

      @@rhythmguild4333 I've had both the Triton Extreme and King Korg, both have the tube, and in my opinion it's just a gimmick.
      I don't think I really noticed it making a difference, if anything I think when it's turned up it adds distortion.
      I really liked my original King Korg Champagne color...the brass has a Oberheim sound to me.

    Can you provide a microphone without the vacuum tube? Give me back the original vacuum tubes. korg, the king of cost-saving recycling😂😂😂

    Looks live a very beginer friendly synth tbh and not a bad thing either. Korg makes great synths. That said the new Microkorg 2 has taken my wallet, whatever the cost .

    This thing is really useless at this price point. It's much easier to spit reissue of old synth every month than make something new. Can relate Korg? 😂

    • @CentaurusRelax314
      @CentaurusRelax314 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      What your basis for what it should cost? What *you* can afford? Pretty sure synth manufacturers “spit” what the consumers want. How many “new” sounds or synth technologies can/will there be? And even if someone invented a new one, what are the chances the public will embrace it? “Digital wavemorphing bass bagpipes” might be a new sound. Try to sell it.

      @@CentaurusRelax314The point is that this is an overpriced, underfeatured «successor» to the original KingKorg. It makes no sense; You lose almost half of the keys, the vac-tube, AND it’s more expensive than the original.

    • @CentaurusRelax314
      @CentaurusRelax314 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@robinwindsrygg9568 The “point” is that a ‘tool’ is not “useless” just because it doesn’t fit your random concept of fair price. Still nit sure how “useless” is the appropriate word. You _couid_ make music with it it it were cheaper but you _can’t_ at this MSRP? If you need a hammer to build a house, the hammer is not “useless” if it’s priced at $1000 but useful if it’s $20. Maybe there’s a language issue, as yiur original last sentence isn’t (intentionally so) ‘English.’ All of this just makes you sound immature. You’re not 15, right? And, again, saying it “makes no sense” is just your own narcissism/arrogance speaking. It may not be the right product for *you* but you’ve generalized it so that you’re speaking for everyone. ‘Losing’ half the keys actually makes this *more* attractive to *me* and many other people. Many times when things get more compact, that doesn’t decrease the price. Often it’s the opposite, for various practical reasons. And the vac tube? You have no idea if that makes a difference in the sound. The tech has evolved since the original and I would assume Korg decided it was not necessary and/or it’s not quite the positively-regarded USP that they imagined it would be when the original was released. Lastly, I’m not sure why you would expect a product released today to be the same price as its predecessor. That’s a wacky sense of entitlement and/or a penchant for ignoring economics. The original was from 2013? Haven’t most prices _increased_ in the past ten years? If this thing is so bad, just buy the old one. Problem solved, no?

      The point of this synth is Neo, example new. It has a lot of new features leaving aside the smaller keyboard and at the end of the day you don’t have to buy one!
