Lol
He is pretty nice nowadays actually. Met him once when he came to visit the restaurant when I used to do some unpaid internship in that place. He doesnt cook inside that kitchen anymore. Claire Smith before and Matt abe now run it and these guys are as strict as gordon.
Omg yes. 😂😂😂
Gordon wouldn't get mad at those guys, he hired them so he's probably satisfied with their service.
@@sellosqueez6278 I bet they do get yelled at and that is how they learn. Gordon got absolutely roasted by his mentor Marco Pierre White for years and that's why he is so damn good.

Boiling Point
I visited the restaurant during my trip to London last summer and because of some weird complications with reservations, after we finished our meal which was really good, they took us over to the kitchen and let us peep inside. When Gordon says its like an engine, he means it. That kitchen was so fucking cool to see how precise and organized everything was. Everybody in there has their job and they are focused and deliberate with their actions. Really neat
The kitchen is bigger than the room jeez
He stablished his priorities from the beginning, I guess
Food quality over quantity. Opening a manageable 5 days a week. Good presentation and good management.

regguy69 u can eat a meal with just 200 dollars in there lol, do that once a year isn’t a problem, I personally spent more money on video game than I would in this restaurant
Vetnurselife At least I have them for the future rather than shitting the food after 3 hours.
It's one of the most affordable 3 star restaurants worldwide. Also you don't go daily. You do once for the memories ,a special occasion and the experience.
That kitchen is GORGEOUS. WOW!!
Chef Cilla Casey only cost him 2 million. 🤣
I'm lucky to have been twice. You cannot get a table though, three month waiting list
Matthew Matthew how much did a meal end up costing usually?
@@mta1567.. I just went last weekend to Claire Smyths restaurant Core in Notting Hill, she was Gordon's head chef at GR Royal hospital Road. Prices are similar, about pounds £100 to £175 per person. Depends on your choice of wine, menu etc. Minimum £100 head.

I worked for him for 2 years, and been working next to him for a private charity dinner 2 times, is so amazing person, yes of course you got a pressure but that is normal you learned to deal with and helps you not making silly mistakes.
What a honor
One word: “Quality”
Another word: Money
Had the pleasure of dining there in 2019 just before New year's. It was and is still the best restaurant i've been to. I remember thinking about how hard it would be to keep the decorations on the lighting clean without damaging it. For 2 hours my girlfriend and I were in heaven. Such a remarkable place.
He’s lying through his teeth
I have nothing but respect for Gordon, he knows his stuff inside out and his restaurant looks incredible.
Ramsay: "Spent 2million dollars on a kitchen"
Me: "I'm poor"
He spent 1million in 1999 to start the restaurant, not bad at all
It's an investment intended to generate more money. What separates the rich from the poor isn't the amount of money in their bank account, it's how they spend it. $2M is a small price for the kind of money Gordon makes from this restaurant and the international prestige it brings him.
@@amaze2n what separates the rich from the poor is inherited fortunes and systemic increase of the gap between rich and poor but sure, keep telling yourself the lie of 'you'll be rich one day too if you only work hard enough' :)
@@z0ttel89 I actually agree with you, the system is such that money grows more money exponentially. The gap between rich and poor grows and often the people with all the wealth didn't do anything productive to deserve it. I agree with that part, though it's still possible to make a good living with hard work, some wise investment and some luck. People do it all the time. Ramsay is one of these people, he brings value, worked hard to be recognized and has been compensated for it.
@@amaze2n true he also got lucky tbh. He was gonna go for soccer and got injured. Then he went into cooking and worked with Pierre White. He bought a condo apartment in France and learned French cooking and the language. He did work very hard. But TV also blew him pass the moon and stars. There are many talented people in this world who work just as hard; but life is unfair most of the times. I mean there are people who got Michelin stars at a younger age than Gordon Ramsay. But he is a celebrity chef in the end of the day.

Kitchen SURE has changed since the early days of the restaurant as covered in the excellent documentary series "Boiling Point" & "Beyond Boiling Point".
This would be a GREAT time to do another series like that. One that's literally like a fly-on-the-wall, behind the scenes as things unfold. Ramsay's a great presenter as well as a chef but it would be nice to see him without a script, back to running his 3 star restaurant that's got his name on it & also managing his expanding restaurant empire while at the same time, focusing on what it's like at home with he and his wife raising a brand new baby boy.
You could call it "Gordon Ramsay: Rolling Boil" or something like that.
