Looks good, the marquee is finally looking like it should. Glad to hear the buttons and sticks are in better condition as well. Still a hard pass for me though, they needed to switch up the games lineup to make it more tempting. Sad to say my original mk2 legacy is only 2 years old and considered severely outdated by arcade 1up standards. Goes to show you how fast they are spitting these out. Had they replaced some games I’d consider it but I’ll stick with my original for now. Keep up the good work Phil, that Mk song never gets old.

@PD7 mk30th has been 199 at my local Walmart for about 3 months and they haven't moved any at all. The general public are over it. The only ppl buying these are hardcore 1up guys
Looks solid, might consider picking one of these up if the get good discounts. I just hope it doesn’t have lag like the 30th did. It would make loud noises whenever it lagged. Good review!

Great review; thanks for sharing. Very jealous. The main complaint people seem to have with this cab is that it's noticeably 'skinnier' compared to cabs with risers making it look rather odd. What's your thoughts on this? Is it essentially the same measurements / width of a cab without a riser?
It’s pretty identical to MVC2 / Street Fighter 2 Turbo just missing the riser which would be wider if it was on a riser. So it’s about 1” skinner. It’s the exact same height though. If this is how A1up makes their cabs going forward I’m completely ok with it. Thank you for watching Ben, I hope you come across one soon.
I wish there was an option for a real coin door. I wouldn't mind putting in quarters for that authentic experience. Are you able to get into the service menu with these cabinets?
This won’t help, but did you notice the sale on A1up app today? All MK2 products are discounted which means Deluxe will be popping up online pretty quick. @@PDX7 Yes, actually I am in the Chippewa Falls area. We were suppose to head down to Milwaukee to look at a car for my son that Saturday but canceled because of the snow. I did finally end up with one of these myself. Had to go to Duluth for it but he was buying a Grom up there anyway so it worked out well.

great video ...just wondering , does the street fighter champion edition actually have working live wifi ( wired and or wireless as option ) meaning no freezing or lagging during live playing with another player in other countries ? thx
Congrats Phil. I have a few questions. I wondered if you had a Micrometer to see how thick the new panels are, they do look thicker. Do you think they bumped up the spring tension on the joysticks maybe going from 2lb to 4lb or more? How long do you think it took to aseemble the cabinet, less or more time than the riser edition? Its a great looking cabinet. I was surprised to see the iiRcade move around like the A1up, I assumed the iiRcade was much more stable, are you saying the risered cabinets are more stable then the one piece cabinets? I am on the look out for an iiRcade locally, a few possible good deals.
They wobble a little more than if it was on a riser, but it would shift a little on rider too. We’re big guys Carl it’s going to move on us regardless:) I think they have to be 4lb, all the new cabs are better since KI. The sides are 1/2” but just feels heavier than previous cabs. It took awhile because of the pieces on the side with Midway logo and how the deck comes out it always takes me a while. Probably 2-3 hours, filming slowed me down but 2 hours for sure. Don’t be discouraged on iircade I just don’t want to seem like everything is always perfect I have to through in something negative. Thank you for watching Carl, all in all it’s a really nice arcade.
Great review Phil!! I am so glad you pointed out that we are now big adults playing these. So I used to hate now home arcade machine shake and wobble -even KI Pro does!! But check this out : I was fairly recently playing a “real SF EC dynamo shape cab - and as I tried to get out of a dizzy - the thing shook!!! I couldn’t believe it! It must weigh like 250 pounds but it still rocked. So even the commercial grade cabs move around. Now, they don’t shake as much or as easily as these home arcades but they certainly shake nonetheless:)
Was this released yet? I heard Best Buy had them already but some other company said a July release. I can’t find any for sale online. I want this version, I had the Costco MK which I got on ebay then I tried modding it into Moonwalker but botched up the side graphics. This one is online, doesn’t have the ugly wings of the first legacy, has a BOE monitor, has a riserless flush design with graphics continuing to the bottom and it has round speaker grills. I got the KI pro but didn’t build it yet as well as a big blue for under $200 and didn’t build it yet. This is miles ahead of previous Midway cabinets. The one from last year had the cool MK1 design minus Johnny, but it has the bad monitor and it has a riser. I don’t mind them, but the new riserless ones have a better look with the art continuing to the bottom rather than a riser with an MK logo or something.
Hey Rob, these are showing up at Best Buy for in store purchase. I heard yesterday the official release date is 4/18 these should be available online. Looks good ! I really am considering about getting this cabinet - but I want it for its looks, and plan to install a raspberry Pi 4 in it. I have two questions about this modification ... Is it possible to do this in this cabinet with this type of monitor ? Will a Pi 4 work ? And also, would it be possible to have the marquee light up with the Pi 4 ? Thanks !!! Anyone who doesn't have any of the previous cabs, I say have at it. Everyone else should either wait for discounts or do something else, otherwise 1UP isn't going to learn and we're just going to keep getting MK cabs with something missing here/there and never a "perfect" cab. Issues after this many iterations are 110% inexcusable. This should have ZERO input lag and it should have spectate. I'm already hearing both of those failings have persisted, so that's an L in my book.
Thank you for watching Alan, I think this makes up for MK30th with the whole TN monitor because we’re getting the same games just a better screen and no riser. It’s the future for 1up and we will see what the give us going forward. Maybe we will get a firmware for spectate, that would be great!
@@PDX7 The monitor does look great, and I'm seeing that everyone who has this cab is saying the sound is great, too. The marquee also looks very nice. My concern is that they're hedging and hedging to lead up to an MK Pro cab, banking on fomo to get people to buy everything before that. After this many iterations, some people will buy out of fear a pro won't come to pass, rationalizing by tell themselves each new release is better than nothing and/or "I'll just trade up if I have to." Each new cab does get better, mostly, so anyone who held out is in good shape if they stop at what's current. The 30th took a step back with the monitor, this one has no spectate and the wrong Raiden art (yeah, I'm that guy), and the state of MK4 and fixing lag with an update aren't being assured definitively.
There will be another cab in the future probably with MK4, but I missed out online for the last year and I’m looking forward to playing this cab versus the legacy that just sat there. If your interested in Fast and Furious and you can only buy this or that I would wait for this cab to drop in fall.
Forgot to ask dude, does this cab have line of sight issues like the original Legacy MK2 cab i.e. does the marque block any of the screen, or has this been fixed with the screen tilt? I'm 6'1 and can only play the Legacy cabs in a horse riding stance or on a stool. Cheers!
Hi Ben, I had the MK Legacy and I know what you mean. Marquee doesn’t stick out like before losing a few inches on top looking down, this is perfect! And control panel tilt is very comfortable to play. You’ll have no issue playing this standing up :)
Big Blue Battletoads would rock, should be 3 players. I think Rampage can do 3 online, but not on Battletoads or Knights of the Round. Thank you for watching redroversk, maybe they will give us one of these eventually!
Thank you for pointing that out. What did we all want back in 2019? Coin doors, closer in shape to the real machine, better marquees, better sticks, no riser. Now we go it!!! Of course these aren’t perfect but they are giving the community want they want. And I think at a pretty fair price!
@farmer stephen Absolutely, my friend. Arcade1up has been trying to give what people have been asking for. And I agree, they are not perfect. But, I never expect them to be. I always went into this hobby, knowing they could never be "real" arcade machines. I accepted that many years ago. And... I am ok with that. As a very casual game player, I could care less about the problems the "real arcade cabinet owners" always point out. If we who buy these things did....we would have the real ones. Right?
I'm going to pick this up. It's going on sale at The Brick in Canada. I think it's $649 going for $599 black Friday. That's probably the lowest it will go for a while here. Thanks for the video!

Yes you can play just by yourself or online with anyone who has this cab if you connect to your router. Keep an eye out for 50-100 off sales coming its 499 now but we might see better prices. If you live by a Best Buy most have this set up as a floor model to check out. Thank you for watching 👊
One of the more easier ones to do is Baraka's blade beheading. Just get close to your opponent, do a straight jump and while in the air, pull the direction opposite you're facing and press HP. Usually, when you land, you'll pull it off. As for the Dead Pool finisher (which can be done the same way for all fighters), hold Low Punch and Low Kick and then do the Uppercut when Finish him shows up.
Great review! Just wish A1up didn't put their logo on every surface, It's just a little too much.. I'm going to hold out for a different skin, hopefully.. Did you get your buystuff mod for RR yet?
Hey Justin, not yet they are probably a month behind I should hopefully set it in April. I think these are taking 2 months to get. These logos didn’t bother me I like it under the control deck versus on the front of the deck where the MK2 logo is and it looks sharp in the coin door. I am surprised there’s a bunch of Midway logos, the only mod to really think about besides buttons is lighting up the coin doors. Thank you for watching Justin!
Is there a clear deck protector on yours? Mine just has a thick piece of plastic that looks terrible when I put it over the controls. Don’t know if they forgot to put it in or not.
@@PDX7 there was no plastic film on it. It’s just a thick piece of Plastic, like plexiglass. It’s not clear at all. Did yours come with that also in addition to the deck protector?
Do you know if the length and with of the monitor mount is the same as the old 1up's ? I want to buy one of these but I need to know if it will work with the monitor mount I want for my Dell 2007fpb...do you happen to know the measurements?
Hi Rosevillereaper, they are the exact as previous Gens only cabs different are Class of 81 Deluxe and PacMan Deluxe because of the recessed monitor and control deck is mounted on. Off hand I don’t have measurements until I buy Time Crisis, but I’m 100% sure it’s identical as previous. I’ll update this comment when I buy my next but could be another month.Thank you for watching!

Yes they do, MK2 deluxe is a little easier to find than MK30th edition and has a better monitor. Just got spectate so you could watch other fights happening on your cabinet
@@PDX7 I love Defender, but I usually load that game up on the Defender 40th cab, which is the exact same cab, just with Defender livery. The Midway Legacy gets one of the MK games run on it, as it sports MKII livery. Joust is another fav. Was going to grab the Joust cab, but it has a TN monitor, which is why I went with Midway Legacy, which has a BOE monitor. Same, for Defender 40th.
@@PDX7 I'm still considering Joust, as my plan was to have Defender, and joust back to back as row end units, like I saw at a convenience store, back in the early 80s. Oddly, those two games showed up together on the same media, quite a bit, for handhelds, and consoles. Only one thing holding me back, and that's that blasted TN monitor.
I don’t think the TN on Joust looks that bad, if we get another under $300 sale I’d pull the trigger. Do you have an iircade? The monitors are probably very similar between the 2, some TN monitors really pop colors are vibrant from front side.
@@PDX7 I did yesterday when I bought it. Turned out T2 was marked down to 300 as well so I bought it too! I guess they screwed up and left the clearance price up.....the guy took it down and said he'd honor it lol. Yesterday was a goooood day!!!
I think you gotta go with MK2 first and it helps if you know someone who has this or MK30 to take advantage of online play, at $499 this is the lowest price out of the 3. 2nd Blitz NBA Shaq needs to be $499 or under in my opinion. I’m planning on buying a Arcade 1up machine (specifically this one or MK 1) and I’ve never actually bought an arcade machine so I’m not sure if only deluxe ones have multiple games or any version, so just asking from an expert.
Thank you for watching and I’m happy to answer any questions you have Kombat Kirbo. The difference between this arcade and the MK 1 ( 30th edition ) is MK2 deluxe is one piece and MK1 has a riser. The games on both are completely identical. Both will play online too, the only issue with MK1 is the monitor isn’t the best. I would go with MK2, because it’s currently on sale at Best Buy for $449 and MK1 is 499. Both look really cool it’s just that monitor fades out if you were player 2

@@PDX7 I finally picked it up from Best Buy about 2 days ago, found out it had 14 games, thought it was 12, but even so, it’s so cool and I built it and set it up and I’ve had a lot of fun messing with it!
Arcade is built! However, when we were putting the protective cover on the control deck and screwing it in, we noticed it was cracked a little, not sure how to get in touch with Arcade1Up about it, it's not terrible, but.....if I can get it swapped out......

It is just the video quality or does that LED screen look way less pixelated than previous versions? That would make it worth RE-BUYING this cabinet again. I'm sure I could sell my old one pretty easily.

Yes just because of the TN monitor on the MK30th, that cab looks so good. On the flip side we do get 2 bonus games ( MK3 & Klax ) I think MK 2 Deluxe is the way to go. Thank you for watching Anthony!
Sometimes this happens I’ve run into it myself. Try resetting router unplug A1up from wall for 30 sec and reset to factory settings and see if it connects. Let me know if you’re still running into problems.
The marquee does light up just not the coin door, but that’s something I’m thinking about adding myself. $800 is high you can always hold out and hope for a sale in a few months. Thanks for watching Steve!
@@PDX7 They are pretty rare to buy here in Australia, mine came with just the wooden marquree and coin door sticker, even on eBay it seems to be hard to find any light up marquree and extras to buy
MK2 Legacy did come with the sticker coin door and some had the light up marquee some didn’t, I have that same cab too. Going to list it for sale this weekend, I bought the deluxe for the online play I felt I missed out on it. This one is pretty cool and is a step up from previous models, if you come across it i recommend picking it up.
Omg i didn't think of laying down GT xl to put the halves together. Ha. I'm a dummy. Cab looks good. I already have the previous MK2 so this is a pass. I don't dip again! But if I had the choice I'd certainly go with this one.

That’s a really good question, the new form factor and online sold it for me. It online doesn’t matter and completely happy with Legacy keep it and look at other Deluxe cabinets.

I had the same legacy before I purchased the Deluxe, both monitors are identical I just wanted the online play for games like Joust, Rampage and Gauntlet. It’s too bad we didn’t get a BOE with the MK30 or Joust skinned cab they both look great Judy not the greatest picture. Are you watching any other cabs for sales this summer?
It will play better after update and connected at home, the floor models I’ve seen aren’t connected either. Be nice if they were so people could get everything checked out inperson.

Hi AbominusRules, it is possible to mod this MK2 cabinet the only problem would be losing the online play. It was a selling point for me, my previous MK 2 wasn’t online 12 of the 14 games but I wanted to play friends in Gauntlet and Rampage. Do you have any Arcade1up cabinets?
There’s another option too, have you heard of the MVSX cabinet? It comes with 50 games mostly SNK fighters, but if you plugged in the Hylox hack ( usb ) it adds 600 games all Capcom and a variety of everything else including Sega Genesis. It’s good for someone like me who just wants a plug and play.
Looks really nice. My fav Midway MK cab. After the little upgrades I did on my MKII Legacy It's a keeper. I personally have no desire for online play. I prefer to kick someone's as$ in person LOL jk. Scores online is cool though. Enjoy!

I struggled on deciding last year which MK cab to get and I went with the same as you. I just felt I missed out online, Rampage and Gauntlet would make me play more. Did you swap out marquee?
@@PDX7 Haha....What can I say, I'm old school... Absolutely! The first thing I did was the marquee (vid up on my page). I purchased the cab cheap $199 walmart with no light up marquee and no riser. Then I made it my own with a few more bucks. This new version is a very nice cab. More authentic for sure. You and your buddy should have some laughs 👍

Nice video. That fast and furious is just Cruisin' for the Wii. They lost the license before porting it to the Wii. Not really that impressive of a game in my opinion

@@PDX7 They are due to release another TMNT cab with their history of releases. Those 3/4 cabs still do have their place as not everyone has room for those XL cabs. I have a mixture of both sizes in my arcade.
I’m going to sell my Turtles in Time cab to make room for F&F. So if and when a new Turtles comes out I’ll pick one up, I’m not completely happy with this cab. The XL do take up more room I’ll have a mixture too, some 3/4 I couldn’t get rid of :)
@PDX7 I'm waiting to see the price on F&F Delux. If that's over priced then it's a no go for me. The Simpsons cab was a huge wake up call that the value of these things can fall right through the floor.
I can’t believe it took this company 5 different tries to finally put out a decent version that’s faithful to the original and with the features we’ve asked for. Imagine the poor sap that’s upgraded from each iteration thinking they finally got it right time and time and time and time again. Jesus….
My friend has one. They still didn't get it right. The input lag, even OFFLINE, is terrible. If you're real competitive this is a total deal breaker. I chose not to buy one after playing my friend's. Shame, my legacy cabinet has zero input lag.
Played one of these at Best Buy. I have purchased, modded, and sold at least 1000 Arcade1up machines over the last five or six years. The input lag on this machine is really bad, it’s actually unforgivable. There is an obvious delay in actions on the screen after you use the joystick or press a button. The only reason I would buy this would be to gut it and put my own PC full of games in it but only if you could get it at a low price
Holy cow that’s a lot of Arcade1up’s!! The lag might be bad at Best Buy because of never connecting online maybe an update or two in the last year patched it off hand I honestly I can’t remember. For a casual gamer like myself I wouldn’t necessarily notice it all the time, but I know in the past there’s been some lag. If it drops 399 or less yes it would be great having thousands of games and having the 5 buttons would be perfect. The cab is taller and a lot more comfortable with the slanted control deck too, Thank you for watching 👊

I'd add that emulation hardware of these old games is now so far past the needs of the games that game play should be unquestionably perfect.

Looks good, the marquee is finally looking like it should. Glad to hear the buttons and sticks are in better condition as well. Still a hard pass for me though, they needed to switch up the games lineup to make it more tempting. Sad to say my original mk2 legacy is only 2 years old and considered severely outdated by arcade 1up standards. Goes to show you how fast they are spitting these out. Had they replaced some games I’d consider it but I’ll stick with my original for now. Keep up the good work Phil, that Mk song never gets old.

Great review; thanks for sharing. Very jealous. The main complaint people seem to have with this cab is that it's noticeably 'skinnier' compared to cabs with risers making it look rather odd. What's your thoughts on this? Is it essentially the same measurements / width of a cab without a riser?
It’s pretty identical to MVC2 / Street Fighter 2 Turbo just missing the riser which would be wider if it was on a riser. So it’s about 1” skinner. It’s the exact same height though. If this is how A1up makes their cabs going forward I’m completely ok with it. Thank you for watching Ben, I hope you come across one soon.
I wish there was an option for a real coin door. I wouldn't mind putting in quarters for that authentic experience. Are you able to get into the service menu with these cabinets?

@@PDX7 Yes, actually I am in the Chippewa Falls area. We were suppose to head down to Milwaukee to look at a car for my son that Saturday but canceled because of the snow. I did finally end up with one of these myself. Had to go to Duluth for it but he was buying a Grom up there anyway so it worked out well.

great video ...just wondering , does the street fighter champion edition actually have working live wifi ( wired and or wireless as option ) meaning no freezing or lagging during live playing with another player in other countries ? thx
Yes it does :) it will run a lot better wired, but all of mine are WiFi and they work a little laggy at times.
Congrats Phil. I have a few questions. I wondered if you had a Micrometer to see how thick the new panels are, they do look thicker. Do you think they bumped up the spring tension on the joysticks maybe going from 2lb to 4lb or more? How long do you think it took to aseemble the cabinet, less or more time than the riser edition? Its a great looking cabinet. I was surprised to see the iiRcade move around like the A1up, I assumed the iiRcade was much more stable, are you saying the risered cabinets are more stable then the one piece cabinets? I am on the look out for an iiRcade locally, a few possible good deals.
They wobble a little more than if it was on a riser, but it would shift a little on rider too. We’re big guys Carl it’s going to move on us regardless:) I think they have to be 4lb, all the new cabs are better since KI. The sides are 1/2” but just feels heavier than previous cabs. It took awhile because of the pieces on the side with Midway logo and how the deck comes out it always takes me a while. Probably 2-3 hours, filming slowed me down but 2 hours for sure. Don’t be discouraged on iircade I just don’t want to seem like everything is always perfect I have to through in something negative. Thank you for watching Carl, all in all it’s a really nice arcade.

Great review Phil!! I am so glad you pointed out that we are now big adults playing these. So I used to hate now home arcade machine shake and wobble -even KI Pro does!! But check this out : I was fairly recently playing a “real SF EC dynamo shape cab - and as I tried to get out of a dizzy - the thing shook!!! I couldn’t believe it! It must weigh like 250 pounds but it still rocked. So even the commercial grade cabs move around. Now, they don’t shake as much or as easily as these home arcades but they certainly shake nonetheless:)
Another reason to just buy home arcades :)
Was this released yet? I heard Best Buy had them already but some other company said a July release. I can’t find any for sale online. I want this version, I had the Costco MK which I got on ebay then I tried modding it into Moonwalker but botched up the side graphics. This one is online, doesn’t have the ugly wings of the first legacy, has a BOE monitor, has a riserless flush design with graphics continuing to the bottom and it has round speaker grills. I got the KI pro but didn’t build it yet as well as a big blue for under $200 and didn’t build it yet. This is miles ahead of previous Midway cabinets. The one from last year had the cool MK1 design minus Johnny, but it has the bad monitor and it has a riser. I don’t mind them, but the new riserless ones have a better look with the art continuing to the bottom rather than a riser with an MK logo or something.

Looks good ! I really am considering about getting this cabinet - but I want it for its looks, and plan to install a raspberry Pi 4 in it. I have two questions about this modification ... Is it possible to do this in this cabinet with this type of monitor ? Will a Pi 4 work ? And also, would it be possible to have the marquee light up with the Pi 4 ?

Anyone who doesn't have any of the previous cabs, I say have at it. Everyone else should either wait for discounts or do something else, otherwise 1UP isn't going to learn and we're just going to keep getting MK cabs with something missing here/there and never a "perfect" cab. Issues after this many iterations are 110% inexcusable. This should have ZERO input lag and it should have spectate. I'm already hearing both of those failings have persisted, so that's an L in my book.
Thank you for watching Alan, I think this makes up for MK30th with the whole TN monitor because we’re getting the same games just a better screen and no riser. It’s the future for 1up and we will see what the give us going forward. Maybe we will get a firmware for spectate, that would be great!
@@PDX7 The monitor does look great, and I'm seeing that everyone who has this cab is saying the sound is great, too. The marquee also looks very nice. My concern is that they're hedging and hedging to lead up to an MK Pro cab, banking on fomo to get people to buy everything before that. After this many iterations, some people will buy out of fear a pro won't come to pass, rationalizing by tell themselves each new release is better than nothing and/or "I'll just trade up if I have to." Each new cab does get better, mostly, so anyone who held out is in good shape if they stop at what's current. The 30th took a step back with the monitor, this one has no spectate and the wrong Raiden art (yeah, I'm that guy), and the state of MK4 and fixing lag with an update aren't being assured definitively.
There will be another cab in the future probably with MK4, but I missed out online for the last year and I’m looking forward to playing this cab versus the legacy that just sat there. If your interested in Fast and Furious and you can only buy this or that I would wait for this cab to drop in fall.
Forgot to ask dude, does this cab have line of sight issues like the original Legacy MK2 cab i.e. does the marque block any of the screen, or has this been fixed with the screen tilt? I'm 6'1 and can only play the Legacy cabs in a horse riding stance or on a stool. Cheers!
Hi Ben, I had the MK Legacy and I know what you mean. Marquee doesn’t stick out like before losing a few inches on top looking down, this is perfect! And control panel tilt is very comfortable to play. You’ll have no issue playing this standing up :)

Thank you for pointing that out. What did we all want back in 2019? Coin doors, closer in shape to the real machine, better marquees, better sticks, no riser. Now we go it!!! Of course these aren’t perfect but they are giving the community want they want. And I think at a pretty fair price!
I do too $499 is reasonable for improvement and online play, this will get exciting going forward! Can’t wait for more Deluxe cabs in the future!
@farmer stephen Absolutely, my friend. Arcade1up has been trying to give what people have been asking for. And I agree, they are not perfect. But, I never expect them to be. I always went into this hobby, knowing they could never be "real" arcade machines. I accepted that many years ago. And... I am ok with that.
As a very casual game player, I could care less about the problems the "real arcade cabinet owners" always point out. If we who buy these things did....we would have the real ones. Right?

Yes you can play just by yourself or online with anyone who has this cab if you connect to your router. Keep an eye out for 50-100 off sales coming its 499 now but we might see better prices. If you live by a Best Buy most have this set up as a floor model to check out. Thank you for watching 👊

Did you get fatalities to work on MK2 on that machine? I haven't had any luck getting fatalities to work on my 1up machine. (Same model.)
They’re hard to pull off, but they will work just have to get the timing right. Thanks for watching 👊
One of the more easier ones to do is Baraka's blade beheading. Just get close to your opponent, do a straight jump and while in the air, pull the direction opposite you're facing and press HP. Usually, when you land, you'll pull it off.
As for the Dead Pool finisher (which can be done the same way for all fighters), hold Low Punch and Low Kick and then do the Uppercut when Finish him shows up.

Hey Justin, not yet they are probably a month behind I should hopefully set it in April. I think these are taking 2 months to get. These logos didn’t bother me I like it under the control deck versus on the front of the deck where the MK2 logo is and it looks sharp in the coin door. I am surprised there’s a bunch of Midway logos, the only mod to really think about besides buttons is lighting up the coin doors. Thank you for watching Justin!

Is there a clear deck protector on yours? Mine just has a thick piece of plastic that looks terrible when I put it over the controls. Don’t know if they forgot to put it in or not.
Did you peel off the plastic film on it? It’s the only thing I can think of.
@@PDX7 there was no plastic film on it. It’s just a thick piece of Plastic, like plexiglass. It’s not clear at all. Did yours come with that also in addition to the deck protector?
No it just had the deck protector on top of control panel with that film I had to remove. Unbelievable how did they not include this?

Do you know if the length and with of the monitor mount is the same as the old 1up's ? I want to buy one of these but I need to know if it will work with the monitor mount I want for my Dell 2007fpb...do you happen to know the measurements?
The mount I want requires me to decase the dell monitor and then it fits in the groves without needing to drill any holes..
Hi Rosevillereaper, they are the exact as previous Gens only cabs different are Class of 81 Deluxe and PacMan Deluxe because of the recessed monitor and control deck is mounted on. Off hand I don’t have measurements until I buy Time Crisis, but I’m 100% sure it’s identical as previous. I’ll update this comment when I buy my next but could be another month.Thank you for watching!

Yes they do, MK2 deluxe is a little easier to find than MK30th edition and has a better monitor. Just got spectate so you could watch other fights happening on your cabinet

@@PDX7 I love Defender, but I usually load that game up on the Defender 40th cab, which is the exact same cab, just with Defender livery. The Midway Legacy gets one of the MK games run on it, as it sports MKII livery. Joust is another fav. Was going to grab the Joust cab, but it has a TN monitor, which is why I went with Midway Legacy, which has a BOE monitor. Same, for Defender 40th.
I almost bought Joust also for $274, really like the look of it. I like Gauntlet and Rampage, Toobin is a lot of fun too.
@@PDX7 I'm still considering Joust, as my plan was to have Defender, and joust back to back as row end units, like I saw at a convenience store, back in the early 80s. Oddly, those two games showed up together on the same media, quite a bit, for handhelds, and consoles. Only one thing holding me back, and that's that blasted TN monitor.
I don’t think the TN on Joust looks that bad, if we get another under $300 sale I’d pull the trigger. Do you have an iircade? The monitors are probably very similar between the 2, some TN monitors really pop colors are vibrant from front side.
How big are those speaker grills?
There around 4.5” in diameter

I’m planning on buying a Arcade 1up machine (specifically this one or MK 1) and I’ve never actually bought an arcade machine so I’m not sure if only deluxe ones have multiple games or any version, so just asking from an expert.
Thank you for watching and I’m happy to answer any questions you have Kombat Kirbo. The difference between this arcade and the MK 1 ( 30th edition ) is MK2 deluxe is one piece and MK1 has a riser. The games on both are completely identical. Both will play online too, the only issue with MK1 is the monitor isn’t the best. I would go with MK2, because it’s currently on sale at Best Buy for $449 and MK1 is 499. Both look really cool it’s just that monitor fades out if you were player 2

Arcade is built! However, when we were putting the protective cover on the control deck and screwing it in, we noticed it was cracked a little, not sure how to get in touch with Arcade1Up about it, it's not terrible, but.....if I can get it swapped out......

Sometimes this happens I’ve run into it myself. Try resetting router unplug A1up from wall for 30 sec and reset to factory settings and see if it connects. Let me know if you’re still running into problems.

@@PDX7 They are pretty rare to buy here in Australia, mine came with just the wooden marquree and coin door sticker, even on eBay it seems to be hard to find any light up marquree and extras to buy
MK2 Legacy did come with the sticker coin door and some had the light up marquee some didn’t, I have that same cab too. Going to list it for sale this weekend, I bought the deluxe for the online play I felt I missed out on it. This one is pretty cool and is a step up from previous models, if you come across it i recommend picking it up.

The deluxe has the riser / stand built in actually stands higher 61” than the previous versions
Omg i didn't think of laying down GT xl to put the halves together. Ha. I'm a dummy. Cab looks good. I already have the previous MK2 so this is a pass. I don't dip again! But if I had the choice I'd certainly go with this one.

That’s a really good question, the new form factor and online sold it for me. It online doesn’t matter and completely happy with Legacy keep it and look at other Deluxe cabinets.

I love it too, my first deluxe cab and there’s some sentimental to it. I wonder if they forgot to add it or some sort of license thing. Dude it’s a great time to be alive we can get anything and relive our childhood:)

I own the 2020 legacy version but your cabinet is better than mine.
I had the same legacy before I purchased the Deluxe, both monitors are identical I just wanted the online play for games like Joust, Rampage and Gauntlet. It’s too bad we didn’t get a BOE with the MK30 or Joust skinned cab they both look great Judy not the greatest picture. Are you watching any other cabs for sales this summer?
Did the update fix the shitty input lag? I played this at best buy the other and day and my god the input lag was horrible

@PDX7 no. I tried connecting it but wouldn't work.
It will play better after update and connected at home, the floor models I’ve seen aren’t connected either. Be nice if they were so people could get everything checked out inperson.

Thank you Eman! As of right now this is the best MK cab until A1up releases an XL or Pro cab in the future. Currently at Best Buy they are on sale $449 until Fathers Day. Recent update fixed the lag during online, it’s a great cab I recommend it! Thank you for watching 👊

I haven’t noticed any yet, it could happen I guess. I am connected Wi-Fi sometimes my iircade, Blitz or even X-Men could experience lag. It all depends on the other persons connection too, but so far so good for me. Thank you for watching Van!

Hi AbominusRules, it is possible to mod this MK2 cabinet the only problem would be losing the online play. It was a selling point for me, my previous MK 2 wasn’t online 12 of the 14 games but I wanted to play friends in Gauntlet and Rampage. Do you have any Arcade1up cabinets?
@@PDX7 i do not have any. i have always wanted to build a MAME cabinet, just never got around to it.
There’s another option too, have you heard of the MVSX cabinet? It comes with 50 games mostly SNK fighters, but if you plugged in the Hylox hack ( usb ) it adds 600 games all Capcom and a variety of everything else including Sega Genesis. It’s good for someone like me who just wants a plug and play.

Looks really nice. My fav Midway MK cab. After the little upgrades I did on my MKII Legacy It's a keeper. I personally have no desire for online play. I prefer to kick someone's as$ in person LOL jk. Scores online is cool though. Enjoy!

I struggled on deciding last year which MK cab to get and I went with the same as you. I just felt I missed out online, Rampage and Gauntlet would make me play more. Did you swap out marquee?
@@PDX7 Haha....What can I say, I'm old school... Absolutely! The first thing I did was the marquee (vid up on my page). I purchased the cab cheap $199 walmart with no light up marquee and no riser. Then I made it my own with a few more bucks.

Hi Ronald, I picked this up at Best Buy for $499 a year ago. There have been sales on this and stores near you too, I’m right outside of Milwaukee WI. I do stream online games Saturday nights and will come back to MK soon. Tonight is NBA JAM :)
Looks like this cabinet is the exact same as the MK30th minus the riser.
Also the monitor is better on the deluxe than the MK30 and MK3 comes with this one too

@@PDX7 They are due to release another TMNT cab with their history of releases. Those 3/4 cabs still do have their place as not everyone has room for those XL cabs. I have a mixture of both sizes in my arcade.
I’m going to sell my Turtles in Time cab to make room for F&F. So if and when a new Turtles comes out I’ll pick one up, I’m not completely happy with this cab. The XL do take up more room I’ll have a mixture too, some 3/4 I couldn’t get rid of :)
@PDX7 I'm waiting to see the price on F&F Delux. If that's over priced then it's a no go for me. The Simpsons cab was a huge wake up call that the value of these things can fall right through the floor.

My friend has one. They still didn't get it right. The input lag, even OFFLINE, is terrible. If you're real competitive this is a total deal breaker. I chose not to buy one after playing my friend's. Shame, my legacy cabinet has zero input lag.
Then keep your legacy, saved you $499 for something else. Watch for upcoming sales, anything with risers.
Played one of these at Best Buy. I have purchased, modded, and sold at least 1000 Arcade1up machines over the last five or six years. The input lag on this machine is really bad, it’s actually unforgivable. There is an obvious delay in actions on the screen after you use the joystick or press a button. The only reason I would buy this would be to gut it and put my own PC full of games in it but only if you could get it at a low price
Holy cow that’s a lot of Arcade1up’s!! The lag might be bad at Best Buy because of never connecting online maybe an update or two in the last year patched it off hand I honestly I can’t remember. For a casual gamer like myself I wouldn’t necessarily notice it all the time, but I know in the past there’s been some lag. If it drops 399 or less yes it would be great having thousands of games and having the 5 buttons would be perfect. The cab is taller and a lot more comfortable with the slanted control deck too, Thank you for watching 👊
