Nice comparison, I guess it come's down to what ever floats your boat, I have a Mojave and love it & would love the Fireteam in a different way> Mojave track, Fireteam Mud & Bash, but that's just me.

Once you drive it you know what it can do. The ebrake allows me to get through tight corners on the track quicker than the Mojave.
Both on the track I still prefer the handling of the mojave but man the Firestorm is close.

Great comparison run there Jay, Always liked the Mojave but in all fairness if it comes down to which one i would go for then it would be the Firestick 🤪 for sure as i feel it has much more potential for bodies like you said & other tasty upgrades etc ☺️ so you have sold one to me right here mate 👌🏼
Arrma did a great 👍 job with this one it's just a bit more expensive than I like. Mojave chassis with Kraton arms and new tires and body = stability
Really like the dune buggy look. Just can't justify another truck since I already have a Mojave with Kraton suspension.
Maybe a body and mounts in my future from like Jennysrc.

Two different cars but now I’m deciding between the fireteam and udr. My thing about the udr is that everything hard to get to.
Right now, I'd choose the Mojave BLX/EXB over the Firestorm. That Firestorm looks a little wack unless it's that camo-white version and I'm not feeling those stock wheels but it looks great with aftermarket wheels though.
I'll have to see more in person.
Would like to see how the fireteam performs next to the Losi Super Rock Rey. About a $50 price difference and 1/7 vs 1/6 but the Losi is quite the measuring stick.

They developed the fireteam out to squash the Losi Rock Rey. I believe they accomplished this, the fireteam appears way more durable and of course it's way cheaper cost wise.

I personally think one of the biggest disservice to the Mojave is the stock tires & suspension adjustment. I hear people complaining so much about how it's prone to rollovers & the wheel hex issues. First thing I did was add M2C HEXES and proline badlands to my RTR & trenchers to my 8S EXB *both belted* and it's a totally different driving experience from the stock setup. They both stay planted, aren't prone to tip as easily & air control is improved as well👍🏽❤
Hexes got fixed on mojave wheels a while ago.
@@BeautyBeastRC still notta fan of the stock rubber. Stance is too narrow & compounds too soft for my liking personally. Talion Katars are a good swap as well 👍🏽❤
@@cacanjacowans540 method rc just came out with some great belted tires that fit mojave perfectly. Probably a great option for truggified typhons too. I'm going to test them out today but everyone who used them so far are impressed.

Really like this Fireteam rig the more I see it running. I think the white version pops on video a little more. Wish there was an EXB roller version, like the Mojave. Might just wait for that to drop.
Same. Just bought a mojave few days ago and your videos part of the reason lol. I'd have been slightly mad if fireteam had exb right when I bought mojave. By the time they drop one I'll be ready to spend more money though haha.

Definitely needs a chassis belly brace because stock chassis bends too easily only 3.7mm thick and not 7075 aluminum

@@JayTeeRC for sure Arrma tough!!! You did it with the xmaxx!!! Pavement landings are the ultimate test and at the end of the day we all want to know what these rigs are capable of especially when it’s a new release even though 95% of the parts came from other rigs.imho of course 🤪

@@gowerski no when it's time to bash it's a tossup between my kraton and my maxx. Fireteam is a sick rig for sure. Realistically it's not a bad price if you look at what it would cost to buy a Mojave exb and the electronics to get it going

Gee... The EXB comes with a 16 t pinion but when I fitted it with the 1650kv max 6 set up.... It was awful... Really slow for me... It was nothing like yours with the 2050kv... 🤔 Maybe that is what was wrong. I ran mine for 5/10 minutes and had to stop. It now has a 20t pinion and it now goes like yours. I take it the 1650 is more torque. I soooo have to get the fireteam it's great.

I just got into the Hobby but I only really like Arrma vehicles. I have the Felony and Mojave and want this next then the Infraction
Like the body style, just don't like the action figures.
@@bryannoble6634 they may add to structural integrity of the rig but they make the car look cheap & kinda cheesy IMO. It's also gonna be around $90 just to replace the action figures. The entire lid assembly & roll cage is around $230. All I can say is you can bash it but you definitely don't wanna break anything 😬

Why are you surprised... The Mojave with that trophy truck design layout, definitely should not be able to out handle a wider, more stable, fully independent suspension off-roader.

If the FireTeam only had doors to cover the terrible looking legs. Even if they were half doors, it would make it look less cheesy.
Otherwise, I would have bought it already, now I'm trying to decide if its just worth it to spend more and buy an XMaxx.

I currently own a Revo 3.3 & 2.5R ,Jato,Slayer & Slash all Nitro and the only replacing ive had to do is the plastic pinion gear but let me tell you The XMAXX Destroys all cars in bashing and looks. It was worth the $1500.00 price tag.

For the expense I'd stay away from Arrma. I have done a lot of research and the parts are double other companies and quality the same or less. Their diffs blow every 2 packs, and bearings fall out and fail.
The plastic moulded figures in both of em look pathetic to be honest
