    I'm glad you showed the mistakes because that's what real world people have to deal with! Amazing! Subscribed.

    Next time remove the return eyeball & put a winter cap in to stop the water from flowing out. Makes things much easier!

    Thank-you for showing how to hook this up. Love it. That strike on drill must have hurt.

    EXTREMELY helpful. I definitely would have been the person to make that mistake. I'm purchasing one of those chlorinators now. Wish me luck! Thank you for sharing.

      Mine has been working great, I had to turn it down quite a bit, was too strong of chlorine.
      Thanks for the comment and glad I could help!

    The chlorinator should be installed AFTER the filter. It should be the last thing before returning into the pool.

    I just bought a house with a pool after moving from the city. I dont know much about pools, being binge watching videos and googling about pools for 2 days. My question is shouldnt the chlorinador add chlorine to the pool after the water is filtered and not before?

  • @cavyboy99
    @cavyboy99 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Lol why did you plug the pool before you drilled the holes. Also why can't you just hook both hoses up to the pool return

    Hey I'm not sure if you noticed yet or if someone's let you know before me but your cinch down metal straps oh, they are supposed to go underneath the rubber washer piece or in other words they're supposed to sit flush with your pipe.

    Will this work if my pump only has 2 sections of hoses, the inlet and the outlet. I dont have the section in-between that you drilled into the 2nd time (to correct it). So would that mean in my case the automatic chlorinator is not an option?

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would still work, where I messed up was having it on the wrong side of the pump.

    What kind of hoses did you use for all of the plumbing? I’m tired of replacing hoses.

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are flex hoses, you can get them at Home Depot or Lowes. They're much like PVC, but bendable.

    Thanks for the post. Just installed my chlorinator and am noticing a small drip from the compressor nut on the outlet side screwed into the check valve.Any thoughts as to why? I’m wondering if over tightening it with a wrench is causing it to leak.

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically just hand tighten it until its snug so that is possible, but I would loosen it and and make sure the line is secure, all the way in snug that the nut compresses on.

    From your experience, how often do you have to add chlorine to the chlorinator?

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually about once per week, but the temperature of the water will play a factor, so it can vary a bit.

    Just wondering how your chlorinator is doing after a year

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is still working well. I stored it inside over the winter and have had no issues yet other than an occasional over tightening of the lid. Had to use a small chisel and hammer to tap the lid open a couple times, but works great 👍

    • @easyclearpool
      @easyclearpool  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do like it. Has worked well. I add to it about once per week and it it takes care of itself.

    Does your filter not capture the chorine and filter it? Or is that okay?

      I would put 3-4 3" tablets in every other for a large above ground oval.
