It's insane how a 2 second piano tune can bring back the deepest nostalgia. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are some of the best games ever made imo, and I think most would agree.
@@ClockWithoutNumbers His Joker voice was so iconic they dubbed it over an actor in the 2003 Birds of Prey pilot. And it's honestly the best bit of that whole pilot.
@@coshcosh3753 The “Did anyone catch the game last night?” Is what the Asylum intercom says before the 3rd Scarecrow sequence happens. I had just gotten my xbox 360 for Christmas and had been playing it nonstop for days when the third Scarecrow encounter in Arkham Asylum happened. It was made to look like the console was corrupting by freezing while colorful boxes show up on screen. I thought I broke my new Xbox when that happened, so I rushed to turn it off before anymore damage could happen. But it was just part of the game.
If they only added a little more to the Asylum hallucination. Like actually replaying the first stage of the game, but taking a completely different route to a room where you could hear somebody (Jason) screaming or mumbling behind a door, and when you go to check it out, Joker stops you by saying "Sorry Bats, but we all have secrets to keep. Oh, and by the way, you might need a new sidekick if you don't hurry. Again". And then just before the hallucination ends, you would see a bloody crowbar lying next to the door with a blood trail.
“Yes you’ve killed before. And tonight I’ll make you do it again!” That gave me some chills knowing that joker can control Batman at anytime just love this part so much it reminds me of the old days of Arkham asylum and the beginning of the Arkham era this series will always be one of the best and legendary
Actually, as I recall, Joker, you STABBED ME IN THE SHOULDER while I was holding your "precious cure". I think that qualifies as "suicide by cop" at the very best.
I really like that the Joker accusing Batman of killing him is really just Batman talking to himself. He blames himself for Joker’s death and sees it as him killing the Joker, even though it was Joker who stabbed Batman and made him drop the cure. Joker’s long dead, and Batman still carries his fear of him wherever he goes, a year later.
"News flash! You killed me! I was there, remember? You destroyed my cure, right in front of me! Watched me choke on my last laugh!" Technically it was your fault, Joker.
This goes to show why batman and jokers relationship is iconic in the games and comics because they together both is what makes batman very intresting.
When I first saw it when I played the game I lost my mind! I love all the references to Asylum, City, and Origins. Knight is like all three games mixed together and I LOVE IT!

This chime has and always will creep me out. Imagine being an inmate, scraping the day you went through onto your cell wall, when suddenly the chime plays, and warden sharp gives you "important" information. You would just sigh, then get back to scraping.
The scary part about this scene is that Joker is a figment of Batman’s imagination, and not an actual, independent consciousness. He’s only saying the things he says because it’s what Batman would imagine him saying. So for all we know, he might actually be telling the truth, and Batman really DID drop the cure just to be rid of the Joker.
oh shit man thats a scary theory. but also in the arkham VR game, which takes place not too long before arkham knight, he kills robin and knight wing because of the jokers blood fully turning him. so everything that joker said in arkham knight really hit batman, and its also the reason he didn't like working with the robins during the chaos
I played Arkham knight as my first Arkham game and then I played Asylum after. When I returned to Knight again and I heard the chime it genuinely gave me chills
I don't know if it's guilt or stupidity, but it's not Batman's fault Joker died. He didn't throw the cure. Joker stabbed him in the back, making him drop it. He drank a but of the cure, obviously saving the rest for Joker.
Remember that scene batman says everytime i catch you you break out and kill people maybe batman was tricking Joker to do something stupid so he couldn't take the blame for Joker dying but didn't want to give him the cure and was looking for any way for him to not give him and to not count as killing him
The chime in asylum was one of those things that u don't notice at first, but then, years later, when that sound played, it finally came to me, YESSSSS
