I thought the lore went that she was given a god as a gift, a Tengu, and she devoured it. When she gained it's powers, she went insane and thus ended up where she is: A fiery pit of death and nuclear explosions that tends to kill anything that isn't Yukari, Reimu, Chen or herself.

In this game she has Mega Flare, a big fireball that's invincible against bullets.
She also has Giga Flare, where she creates a big explosion before her.
But she doesn't have Peta Flare, because it would make the game explode !

Okuu is the type of gigantic damage dealer, literally packs the heaviest punch in the game, but comes with heavy prices as well.
1. Her dash is uncontrollable and very uneasy to master, unlike Youmu. You can't stop her dash midway, not even with an attack, which means sometimes you just wanna dash a tiny bit to graze, you ended up getting kicked in the face because you dashed too far.
2. Her movement in general, normal movement, extremely slow, but her dash sometimes could be too fast, it's exasperating, unlike Iku which is equally slow, but not too fast to make you lose control, Iku is balanced, even though she's slow as a snail.
3. She has a very slow reload from attacking, which means she has too much frames to recover after shooting her bullets, or even just a melee attack, which is very very dangerous.
4. Her charged attacks is pretty slow too, it's pretty hard to get the hang of it.
But even with all of those issues in hand, she's still my favorite character, and my main MVP on PVP. She's slow, heavy hitting, with a giant attack hitbox, my favorite kinda character in any fighting game. Once you know how to properly use her, you can burn every single of your opponents with the power of Nuclear Fusion.
anyone else randomly imagining Utsuho appearing in the next Smash Bros? I can already picture just how broken she will be and nothing(not even the destruction of earth) will stop me from playing it
Somebody should make a hack to replace all Smash characters with Touhou characters.
For example: Samus = Utsuho, Link = Youmu, Ice Climbers = Benben & Yatsuhashi (LOL), etc.

Demon Sealing Circle - Knocks everybody back to the edges of the screen while doing damage
Fantasy Seal - Huge amount of damage and knockback to a single target
Wild Exorcism Dance - Everybody around her either gets sent sky high and thrown off vertically, upwards or by meteor smash
Duplex Barrier - Reimu becomes temporarily invincible, as all attacks go right through the gap to the other side of her, attack power and knockback increased.
While she has many potential Final Smashes, Fantasy Heaven is likely the most fitting choice. At least in my opinion.

I find this one more intimidating than the SA theme, but the SA theme sounds more serious and makes me feel more under pressure. If that makes sense.
If you hear at the intro of the song a little deep you can hear something alike a radiation alarm, the guitar just with one note that it's kinda a large sound

Well, this one has the sounds of *EPIC* and *AWESOME* in it. Also, whenever I do battle in Hisoutensoku and this theme plays, suddenly it gives me the more motivation to win.
Does anyone notice that when she's facing right, the arm canon is on her right arm and when she's facing left, it's on her left arm?
Typical 2D game limitations.
It's much easier to have the same set of sprites flipped when facing the other direction than redrawing them for said direction.
on 13.5, 14.5, and 15.5 seems to not have this kind of situation, except your opponent i guess

No,Utsuho's theme in Subterranean Animism was the original.Subterranean Animism was before Unthinkable Natural Law (UNL)
Her spell launch portrait makes her look like Wobbuffet.
You know after seeing the new Broly Movie, I can not look at Utsuho the same anymore.
I can now see her bashing contaminants against floors and walls while blasting them into vapor and then forget what she was doing afterwards.

One of my characters is actually inspired by Utsuho. She's like Utsuho in a way, except maybe more Flandre and Hazama from Blazblue thrown in the mix :P

Also, yeah, She's a nuclear user like Okuu, but instead of a bird, I made her a wolf. She lives in the sun, and in my story, She sends 7 goddesses representing the 7 deadly sins to invade the planets, and push them towards the sun, giving the sun more energy. She wants the entire world crash and burn because she wants her ability (Fire) to take over, because of how prideful in her power she is. Also, she lived in hell, But she wanted the whole world to be hell also, so that it could be fair for her. Not working on the story yet, but I have a plan for it.
