I love these kinds of videos, seeing the local history and learning about the past. I do the same thing here in Ohio, the states share a lot I think in the form of legends. Maybe we could team up on one in the future.
I believe in Spirits as well-I don't think they are here to harm us, just to co-exist. I have felt their presence, and turn to find no one there-thanks for the great video as always!
Hi Cliff, another interesting and historical video from you, I always love when you sit and tell your stories whether they are fact or fiction. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Great video. Saw those videos you did about Mathias. I also believe in the spiritual world and God says we should leave it alone. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Mathias's grave is down in the front row. And YES his headstone WAS actually "stolen" His. restless spirit occasionally haunts the cemetery and Hawk Mountain. And in his death bed,Mathias confessed to killing 12 ,mayby 14 men.
Beautiful location for the cemetery and interesting story to go with it. I related to how you felt when you visited the Johnstown flood site and the memorial site at Shanksville. I felt the same way when I visited the World Trade Center memorial.
If youre ever in south jersey, you should check the cemeteries in Manahawkin and the one by smithville. Both have an interesting history that are linked
This would be a great follow-up video on Halloween night. Ask John to come with as it would be less spooky with a friend along. 😁 I get orbs at night in my condo with my phone video cam. Cam light on and they show up! Pretty cool!
Vultures use thermals up drafts to gain altitude. Just like the Hawks and other birds do at nearby Hawk mt.. I watch about 20 vultures soaring around a thermal across the valley from house , They gained altitude and then soared away to the next thermal.
Thanks for the trip Cliff, as always, quite interesting and I enjoyed it and the story. I never heard of that person but sometimes legend's are only that, legends. We know about the horrible witch hunts of Salem. Innocent men/women being hung, pressed to death under rocks, burned alive, etc. People "actually died" because of nothing more then lies and superstition. The legend of Lizzy Bordon comes to mind too. Poor girl was never convicted of anything. Lizzy Bordon took an ax and gave her father 40 whacks, when she saw what she had done, she gave her mother 41. Just not true but till I saw a documentary about the girl and found out the truth I thought she was found guilty. I think I've mentioned B 4 that I do not believe in hauntings or ghosts but I like hearing the stories about them.
My college friends and I were ghost-hunting in the 1980s, long before TH-cam. We were following Charles Adams’ Berks County ghost books for my college photo class assignments at Kutztown. We found Mathias’s grave and I think I sent you a photo on Facebook a couple years ago. I wonder what happened to his stone? It wasn’t far from the main road. Was it stolen?
I like to watch your videos. If you ever go through Columbia county to look at the hooded graves, let me know. I can tell you some strange things! Lol.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 I'll look up that particular video. How about a film of why Pennsylvania is spelled wrong on the library bell? Like, what's up with that? It's spelled Pensylvania with one n.
In the graveyard Lizzy Borden & her family are interred there’s a lot of those grave markers shaped like tree stumps, and you can’t tell they’re stone until you get close to them
I was in a cemetery in Boston, MA, and it was thick with biting flies that stopped right at the end of cemetery. They didn't attack you until you stepped onto cemetery grounds. Not sure that meant. It was an old cemetery and small.
at 11:40 you had little friend saying hi on your sleeve lol. Creepy crawling lantern fly
Didn't see him till I edited the video.
Very good video Cliff and stories! Keep em coming.
Love these vids. Just like going for a hike with a friend.
The stories are always interesting.
Was that a spotted lantern fly crawling on your shirt around the 11:00 mark? Man, they’re even invasive to your videos 🤣🤣🤣
Yep, he sat there too long and attracted the miserable thing.
Didn't realize he was there.
Beautiful location - cemetery, old stone church, fields, and mountains. The story was a perfect complement. Thanks for sharing, Cliff.
Great story Cliff. Perfect time of year for it. 👻👍

Pennsylvania is such a beautiful state!
Loved the haunted story. Perfect October tale. (Or anytime) 😁
My Place is 1 mile away, never seen any Ghosts. I'm hopeful I will in the future!!!
On my bucket list. Gettysburg!!!
The bluejays are saying get out.
Another interesting video, and my cat enjoyed the blue jay segment.
Beautiful cemetery.
Love your tales about places and people.
Beautiful old cemetery. Thank you. Stay well.
Spooky and History what could be better this time of year 😁
That's a beautiful cemetery.
I was happy to see it well taken Care of.

When you had mentioned about the felling you had when you were at the memorials, you have deep empathy.
Hi Cliff, another interesting and historical video from you, I always love when you sit and tell your stories whether they are fact or fiction.

I love your videos and I love history that place is beautiful and the story was great and I little bit creepy
My great-great-grandparents are in that cemetery, and not far from where you were sitting, as I recall.
Good story Cliff.
Great video. Saw those videos you did about Mathias. I also believe in the spiritual world and God says we should leave it alone. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Very nice cemetery! Peaceful, beautiful. Thank you for the ghostly stories!👻
Interesting facts..

Jinx the black cat heard your blue jays and started chattering. It was really funny.
Beautiful cemetery 🖤
Beautiful valley
Great video gave me a cold chill like you were being watched, by an unseen spirit.🤔
Love your haunted vids 🎃👻
Love Cliffs local ghost-lore. You should make a trip up to "Dudleytown" (in Cornwall CT.).
Thanks for sharing🪦🪦🪦🪦
Noisy birds most likely a snake was sighted.
Vulture is hunting for next meal.
Cliff, really enjoyed your video and can't stories of the guy you were talking about.

@@bleirdo_dude I use a hepa filter. It's not dust particles. But then you'd not understand.
@@bleirdo_dude All I can do is pray for you...So sorry you're dealing with that.

This is a beautiful cemetery. I remember when you were here before.
How far back do the tombstones go?
I may never eat sausage again, lol.
Thanks Cliff
sounds like the Bloody Benders.
So creepy, I could imagine him skulking through the woods disposing parts here and there.
the other place down at the prison at philly
I was a gentleman on TIC TOK that uses a safe solution to clean off discolored cemetery stones from moss and age. With permission.
Hi Cliff, I tend to agree with you when it comes to hauntings, like you I have felt like what I also called energy, thanks for sharing
Great Vedio Thanks you did a Nice Job :)
You’re literally in my back yard! Man I could show you some stuff!!!!

I have friends that are actual ghost hunters from Pittsburgh. They went there and did a night investigation but didn’t get much.
Pittsburgh here

I have filmed there already.

Great story. Why are most stories involving a man named Mathias, creepy or bad. Note to self...never name your child Mathias. Lol.
In the graveyard Lizzy Borden & her family are interred there’s a lot of those grave markers shaped like tree stumps, and you can’t tell they’re stone until you get close to them
The right time for story telling is back. You do a great job at this Cliff. Looking forward to a month of hearing more of Pennsylvania's hauted past.
I’ll have to check this out!
Where are you taking us for Halloween Cliff
I sure wish I knew of a TH-camr who could bring me stories and folklore from Ohio as you are doing from Pennsylvania. You are a master storyteller!
@Colleen D I am in Allen county.
Those Jay's are really unhappy with you...a bit eerie considering the circumstances! Of course they yell at me when I take my dog out in the morning!

Great story, Woodsman. You had a giant stink bug on your right shoulder. The Jays were probably trying to warn you.
How about the Inn at 422 in Lebanon?
