I would like to send you a HUGE thank you. You posted a picture on Wednesday of the showroom of Epic Adventure Outfitters with Paul and The Jolly Ginger. Between the two of them was Shaun’s merch TSTN. The elusive hoodie that I couldn’t find was right there on the wall. So I gave Epic a phone call and talked to Jamie. Shawn was there also doing some filming. I have been looking for this hoodie since October. THANK YOU for posting that picture which got me the extremely hard to find hoodie.
Absolutely the best thing you could have done. I'm not a fan of the gold plating and understand it's purpose, so I simply spray lined mine and left the ends gold. The most flex, a really nice ride and with the lowering brackets (and in my case I have the rear DB3 lowering brackets as well) truly a long arm ride, feel, and off road performance. I am however curious to know what caster you ended up with on that 3.5 inch lift? I'm on 4.5 inch and prioritized pinion angle over caster and ended up right at 4.8 degrees. I have the upgraded Ultimate 44 axle shaft up front so my drive shaft is spinning all the time. Just wondering if EPIC set up you're 2 wheel drive mode to allow you to keep factory castor (around 6.5) or did they prioritize pinion angle and go with lower caster.
Thank you Will for that info on the hoist jeep looks awesome. Hope you have lots of fun with it specially, since the gas prices come down a little. Lol Don and Donna
To add to your piece about showing some respect to your mechanic, people need to clean their rig (both inside and outside) before dropping it off. Nothing says F you to your tech more than dropping off a rig covered in mud and full of garbage.
Have to say the deal on the baja boss at at epic is really good haven't seen them under $600 a tire up here in canada for a 37x12.5r17.Seriously considering swaping out the jks lift for the metalcloak lift on my JT.
We have a Harken Hoist pulley system (we have 2 of them) for getting the RTTs on and off the rigs. The 392 is WAY higher now..but it handles better and is more comfortable on road..I think that's a mix of the Metalcoak driving components and the Falcon Shocks.
I might be a tad jealous. However, if I did all that to my Gladiator I wouldn't be able to park in my garage. With all the snow we are getting here in Northern Utah, parking in the garage is more than just a convenience.
Ya it's really high now..I actually slipped getting in and banged my shin the other day lol. We're supposed to get 8 inches in Boise this weekend. Can't wait to hit the slopes!
Looks really good. Those guys know how to have a good time and do great work at the same time. How do you like those Mickey Thompsons so far? I've had mine for alil over a year and so far I love them
Ya we had a lot of fun together. The Mickeys are good tires. I'm not sure I'll keep them long term, because I want to go 38s, but so far they have been solid.
No plans to change gears yet, but I probably will. Right now I'm still seeing 8th gear on the highway and while it's a little sluggish, it's not that bad. Most likely I'll do the regear when I add a new suspension as well. We did the NV side of Death Valley and Mojave last year (film of that trip coming out soon)...it's incredible down there. I really want to get down the Bishop area this year, but we'll see!
Teraflex drop brackets. Not required…but gives a little better geometry for on road and soft road performance. For Rock crawling…they may get caught up more…but this rig will be doing a little of the everything so we put them on.
Did you install spacers on those wheels? Per metal cloak they say a maximum of 4.75' backspacing for that lift, and those XR rims have 5" backspacing. Just wondering if you had any issues rubbing anywhere when flexing?
Hey will, a while back in one of your videos you and Rob visited a really well kept ghost town. I think it was in Idaho…I can’t for the life of me find the video. Do you remember the name of the ghost town? It had a full blown school building still standing if that helps for reference. I am making a trip out to Idaho from the east coast later this year and would love to visit that place.
3.5" on our lift seems to work just fine without problems. 4.5" and about is where you notice it. We've got guys running 4.5" on the 392's and it's working fine, but noticeable.
@@Venture2Roam My neighbor, who works at the Jeep plant, told me they would be around through 2026. Next time I see I’m giving him the what for. I was thinking maybe in 3 years I could swing one. Doesn’t look like that will be a reality now.
Oh that comment was meant for @fastfed , I wonder if he had same setup and experienced that, because I have the same setup also and don't experience nothing yet
@@ryansremark6983 I'm glad you found the shops that work for you...based on what you need and what you want to pay. No argument from me there. But Epic is top notch and they are good people...and I've been to enough shops to feel good about my opinion. So I have zero problems recommending them all day long.

Ya dude, that’s awesome!!!
WOW!! That's killer suspension man!! J & C
Thanks - having a blast with it so far!

Accurate.
Those guys at Epic are…well…EPIC! Finnagain looks great! Let’s hit the trail!
They are Epically Epic at Epic.
@@Venture2Roam that’s an Epic comment.
I have 2.5 inch GameChanger in my JK and loving it.
They have some outstanding components...I'm loving it on the 392 so far.

This question is over my head a little. I don't know what sorcery Epic did on my 2 wheel drive!

You bet! And yes, I'm using all of my grocery story gas credits to keep the price down lol.

Great point, thanks for sharing!
I even clean engine everything under the hood. Polished and looking like it just rolled off line. It amazes the mechanics 😁
That would be a perfect weekend project (except for mounting the tires). A 24 pack with some pizza are all you need.
Last time I did a suspension it took us four days lol.
Great tires! I run those on my Mojave and love them.
So far I really like them. Just wish they came in 38!
Yeah you have a little too much space in that fender well! 😂

We that swap on my best friend's JKU. The Metalcloak control arms are really really good...much more flex than he had before.
Very cool let me know how it handles later. what kind of hoist do you use for your Rooftop Tent if any? Thank you Don and Donna

Can't wait to go give it a beating lol.

Thanks!
What drive shaft did you go with? I am doing a simular build on my 392 but don't know which drive shaft to use that will dampen vibration.

XR's have 4.56’s.
Should be pretty decent on 37’s.
Lol I thought his comment was on my gladiator vid. Not swapping gears on the 392. 4.56s with the V8 is no plenty.
@@Venture2Roam Did not know XR Edition came with 4.56.

Zero issues rubbing on that setup.
How are you those baja boss tires working out in the snow over there in idaho?
I'm looking into getting me a set for a all year around tire.
So far they are good. They aren’t the best snow tire, but they do well in the snow.
Looking sharp!! Did you do the metalcloak bushings in the front axle as well?
Not yet, but I'd love to get those things on, they look really great.
@@Venture2Roam it really allows that front axle to flex as much as the arms are designed to. Nice upgrade.
Do you install the Falcon SP2 in soft or performance mode? I’m guessing cold because… Canada.
Soft for the snow wheeling trip..stiff for the drive home on the highway. Love how easy it is.
I can’t believe he didn’t laugh at the knob joke 😂
