We’ll see about that. I can see 38s for sure, but any bigger and I’m looking at a massive axle swap and other stuff…but those 37s don’t look so big anymore 😂
This is awesome, I have been considering this exact kit with the Black shocks by MetalCloak. Now seeing it, I need it, haha. May need to do a trip to Epic once I get the funds for it all. Killer video though!
I’ve been waiting for a while to do this. One I decided on the direction, it took a bit to schedule everything because we’re on the move so much…so I’m stoke to have finally got this done. Loving it so far.
I know what you are feeling when you say you are nervous about cutting things off the frame. I did a lift on my 392 that required a lot of cutting and grinding and boy did I get a lot of grief from people for cutting up a new Jeep. But I am so happy I spent the money and changed the suspension and made other modifications. It made my Jeep into a beast and I absolutely love it. Congratulations on your new suspension on the Gladiator.
I thought about one for my 392, but for many reasons opted to put it on the truck instead. But I bet it would just slay on the 392. I did the Rubicon in mine this year (vid coming soon) and it was great…but would have been even better with a long arm.
I live 40 minutes from the Canada boarder but I will always take my Jeep to one of the awesome local off-road shops and support local US companies. Nothing against my Canadian friends.
There’s nothing wrong with supporting local! All the parts they put on were made in the US, so I don’t feel like I’m not also (and mostly) supporting US companies.
Great video! I just joined and became a member of Patreon! Please keep up the amazing work. It’s an inspiration to me and has helped me give the gift of adventure to my family.
Will, The Metal Cloak UnderCloak would be a wise investment before you hit the Rubicon. Loving your setup. I didn’t have to worry in my Manual JT, but the underside in my Ecodiesel Automatic looked like a rock magnet and repair bill waiting to happen! The Metal Cloak skids are WAY better than stock and cover all the critical components!
Im a huge Metalcloak fan and been eyeing those shocks for a bit now for my Mojave. If at all possible could you do a review of them after using the for awhile. Any pros or cons to them.
I will do an initial and long term review on them. I shot the initial already. So far, I'm really happy with them..but I want to really push them a bit before I have an official opinion. A nice difference right off the bat over the stock Mojave shocks is that you can dial them in for on-road vs off-road. I loved how soft those Fox Shocks were offroad, but I found myself wishing they were adjustable over time.
Curious, how long did this actually take? I did the same lift on my Gladiator. It took me & a friend 1 weekend for the front & 1 weekend for the rear. Neither of us had ever done something like this. (check out Off Road Excitement) Also, did they cut out the exhaust loop from under the drivers side? I've seen it done with cutting & without. Would love to see a picture if they didn't cut it out. Once again, great video. Can't wait to hit a trail with you one day. 🤙
This took 3 shop days with 1 tech working on it. I don't think they cut the exhaust loop, or if they did, I didn't see it happen. You might message Epic to see what they say about it? Hope you are enjoying your long arm!!!
Great vid and a nice break down of describing the lift. May i ask how much this cost? I as well would consider making the drive up from the US. Thank you!

@Venture2Roam I did that about 4 years ago and have not had any problems. I was able to get a Rubicon swaybar (no damage to the swaybar) off a totaled Jeep for $200.
I'm running the same long arm kit in the rear with metalcloak mid arms and correction brackets in the front. I cant decide if i should upgrade to the front long arms im already on aftermarket fox 2.5 dsc shocks and hydro bumps. How much better pinion angle can i expect with the long arm front im maxed out on pinion angle at full droop.
@@Venture2Roam Thanks! Very curious to hear how testing goes. Also have a Mojave and like the balance of crawling but able to do moderate speed desert runs
Do U.S. citizens need a passport to enter Canada? I know we didn't many years ago, but relations between the two countries have gotten a little more strained in the past decade, or so.

Great Video Will! Thanks for running our gear and keep up the good work on your channel!
Thanks guys. Can't wait to share the Rubicon Trail vids where we get to see a bit of Metalcloak HQ!
39s or 40s can't be far behind. Work looks great.
We’ll see about that. I can see 38s for sure, but any bigger and I’m looking at a massive axle swap and other stuff…but those 37s don’t look so big anymore 😂
WOW oh WOW. That is awesome. I want one of those suspension for Christmas. Excellent video
Thank you! It would make one heck of a Christmas present that’s for sure!

It’s a really well made system. So far it’s been a massive upgrade, but I haven’t pushed it too hard yet. Review vid coming soon.
Our Labor Day Weekend Sale starts tomorrow and you might be able to save some $$$. ;-)
@@Venture2Roam can't wait to see that review vid!
The video I’ve been waiting on 😎🔥
Makes me wanna do my Mojave.
Looking forward to seeing it in action🤙🏻
I shot the initial review, but want to go flex it out on the rocks before I post the vid. So far it’s a pretty massive difference though.
Trip is now a beast! I can’t wait to see it in action on these Idaho backroads!
Can't wait to run those backroads with you dude.
Glad you're happy with it! Great set up for sure!
Thank you! It will be fun to test it out and report back.
Great look. Can't wait to see it in action.
Thanks! We’re gonna have a ton of fun with it very soon.

That’s looking great dude! Lookibg at Clayton for our very own Gladiator as well!
I ran the Clayton 2.5” overland kit, no regrets. 👍🏻
I know folks who have Clayton. I think it's good stuff. I'm really liking the extra flex on whoops of this set up.
Im glad you had the "Cananda" typo while saying you didn't know what language they spoke.
Did I? Hahaha...just goes to show you I don't speak the language lol.
Nothing like taking a new vehicle and changing everything, I love it! It’s looks great! Good job Will!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
You know what’s funny about that…I felt like I had waited forever to make this mod to the truck 😂.
Looks awesome. I love mine.
Your set ups are awesome dude.
@@Venture2Roam the short arms on my gladiator now make me feel inadequate. Lol

The Mojave is looking good with the new suspension bro 👌🏽
Thanks bro. Let’s go wheeling!
New wrap is wild! Love the video.
Thanks! It inspired by Eddie Van Halen’s guitar.

Awesome content as always!
Appreciate it!
I need the apex sway bar disconnects, all the gold. looks so much better lifted than stock with 37s, jeeps need tire to fender gap!
The Apex discos are great. I do think they limit flex by a small amount though. But so nice to have on a non Rubicon model.
The Ginger is awesome!!! funny as hell and knows his sh.... stuff :)
He’s a really good dude. We always have a blast together.
Now you can fit 40s for those deep snow sections.haha
Or tracks…
Will, you have installed the Spinal Tap of shocks!! None blacker.
lol!
I see new axles coming soon.
Oh lord…it never stops! Just Empty Every Pocket 😂
Those long arms are long
Very accurate statement.
I have the teraflex version they pretty good , do yourself a favor and get some Sumo springs for the rear , you can thank me later 😌
I’ll take a look at those

This would ride so good over the slow chunky stuff
Yep. It’s really good on the fast stuff too. I’ll do a review vid soon.
Will you be putting skid plates on the gladiator?
Probably some skids, but probably not a full skid plate system.
I can't remember if you are running onboard air, but if you are, you might consider a Rubicon swabar that engages and disengages with the compressor.
That’s exactly what I’m looking at. Christian is doing that in his Willy’s, so might just copy him.
@Venture2Roam I did that about 4 years ago and have not had any problems. I was able to get a Rubicon swaybar (no damage to the swaybar) off a totaled Jeep for $200.
Looks great. Did you happen to measure from the bottom of the lifted tire that was lifted with the forklift to the ground to see how high it was?
I didn't measure it, but you can bet I'm going to put it on the MetalCloak CTI trailer the next chance I get!
Epic isn’t a real shop its a place where youtubers go to shoot videos 😂
😂 😂
👍👍😃
for the shocks once I heard Military grade I get flash backs of what military grade means 💩
Hahahaha...fair point.
I wonder how the black shocks compare to falcon 3.3
I have both and will compare them.

When crossing to Canada is a traveler visa needed? Or just your passport?
Just a passport.

Yes, you definitely need a passport. I can’t remember when they made that change, but it’s still in effect.
Flip flops in a mechanic shop? Come on man. Additionally, have you done a differential gear change?
