That's unfortunate but expected. Blows my mind how people continue to drive during over heating.
Yeah me too! Thanks for the comment Jonathan!
Those side view cameras are great for looking into cylinders like this. Sure beats having to tear down the engine to diag the problem. Great video Dave!
Thanks 👍!
Glad I just woke up and see this video
👍
I learn so much from your video's. Thank You.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment!
Uncle Dave pulling out all the cool tools. Tbh, given the mileage, unless the relative REALLY was interested in learning how to fix an engine, I'd give him/her a spare jug of coolant and a funnel and tell them to check it frequently.
That is one way to handle it!
I was gonna say ahh just drive it its not that bad and its an old car. THEN you showed the giant drip and I quickly changed my mind.
Thanks for the input!
Which water pump sealant did you use? Any suggestions? also, do you recommend k seal to stop water pump leak.
Will you be making a video on the head gasket replacement??
I will have a video with an update on this car soon.
I have the same kit, it pays for itself 1st time you use it.
It's a good kit.
Fix it Uncle Dave...😂😂
lol!
@BigDog50001 - How much would it be to replace a head gasket for a 2001 Honda Accord LX?

Sir my Honda Civic 1999 ex I believe keeps overheating 🥵 and this will be my 5th time going to the mechanic saying he doesn’t see nothing wrong with the car and the meter goes down and then maybe a month or two it overheating again… I’m really sick of the stress and I have a few knowledge about cars just only by mechanic word of mouth or watching videos like this… Honestly I want to sell this car and take the city bus to work until I get another car do you have any recommendations? I am in South Florida?
Dave thanks for showing. Are you going to do the head gasket repair? Don’t know if you’ll go to that depth anyway I’ll keep my eyes open for it hope all is well. Artie 🇺🇸
Who knows lol. Thanks for the comment Artie!
what serpentine belt tool do you recommend for the Honda Element/Pilot? Thanks 🙏
I use the GearWrench 3680D the most. I believe they have a newer version now.
Great video.
Where did you get your scope?
