Strangely, that's a perfect tutorial boss. It teaches what your class can do in case you're not sure how to use ur stuff.
for those who weren't there asmon was fuming so bad at the last gank boss he instantly killed the stream after he beat them
It's amazing how little someone's understanding can be of a game that they've already completed.
Asmon is possibly the worst gamer in the entire world, topping that of even IGN reviewers. He's smart when it comes to everything _but_ video games. WoW fried his mind.

@@dkbilarHe unironically has the memory of an elephant for some reason lmao. Sometimes he'll bring up something from 14 years ago, give you an exact date and time, along with a detailed accurate description of what happened at that time.

I think the rune values are still pretty similar If not the same it’s just the drops I am pretty sure

Most games would have died out by now. We’ve had a year of nonstop elden ring content on TH-cam. That speaks volumes of how good this game is

The cave he got teleported to in the 4th hour seemed less annoying with the randomizer than the original 👀 because the original is filled with those annoying ass insect dudes and the boss is pretty hard too

At times I struggle goin in cold to the "souls type" games If any kind of time has passed since when I last played, I seem to need to like heat up. Couple that with a new build or weps I'm not used to and it could get real ugly. Hats off to Asmon for gutting it out.
At the beginning you needed to run all the way into the boss arena. It technically wasn't initiated yet

Every new playthrough of this game is like the first time with him 😂 it’s like beating the game wipes his memory and he can’t retain any memory of controls, or even that he’s in a randomizer.
I hope key items aren’t random or the poor man might actually lose his mind not being able to progress if he can’t get a great rune.

It's so bizarre seeing him actually try and do anything other than "use big weapon, as early as possible" in Elden Ring, specifically. It really shows how little he understands the underlying mechanics of literally _every_ FromSoftware title after Dark Souls. As I'm typing this, he's fighting the "Night Hunter" boss (Bell Bearing Hunter) and complaining about the range of the Meteor Ore Blade, when in fact he wasn't using it at all and using the shield on accident. He's not even two-handing, which is something I would have figured he would have done _immediately._ I don't think he knows how.

I must have had a similar seed to Asmon here, when fighting the Stonedigger Tree Spirit, I had a boss fight in maybe the same (if not just identical) arena, and it was a scarlet rot one.
In an arena that small, that's a yikes.

Asmon may not be good at the game, but I really respect how he always fights all the randomized enemies instead of just running past all of them like what every other youtuber/streamer does.

Asmongold, been watching some of your ER playthroughs and what stood out was not using a whole set of tools that could have assisted you at points. Like tactical use of .....

Throwing daggers or pots
Different uses of magic/incantations
Even using of weapon arts to give a momentary stun to npcs like Gravitation Pull can give to allow a damaging followup chain.
Just thinking that sometimes you gotta try new things in the ER universe to see a new maybe fun option.
I agree that would be epic if you could set a key bind for individual spells/incantations instead of having to scroll through them

The triple sisters in cave was the hardest solo fight in elden ring for me.
Luckily I was OP when I come across them. I can see how it could be a pain though.

My friends and I have been doing a seamless co-op randomized run of Elden Ring and I shit you not, the first major boss was Melina. We got stuck there for hours so we cleared every other possible bit of the map, then we finally could beat her.

Eldin ring was my first fromsoft game and it made me fall in love with these games I went back and played and beat all of their games and I think they are all amazing games...they are now my favorite kind of games and by far my favorite collection of games
im curious since you played them backwards, which one ended up being your favorite, I think Sekiro is mine and then dark souls 1 a close second.

Usually i play zeus with bloodborne randomizers. Lets see how asmonbald beat this
tbh, I prefer him acting mad than actually being mad. When he's acting, he is still good plus funny. When he's actually mad, he just keeps making the same mistakes over and over. You can tell that there is a lot less learning and progression. And he isn't as entertaining either.
i found that fighting the hunter guy requires just hard agro. jump attacks.

Asmon, my guy. I taught my fiancee (who has little to no experience playing videogames) how to use a controller for this game and she got through both margit and godrick on her first couple of tries. It's not hard and I promise it'll make your life 10,000x easier.
na k&m is fine he just have shitting key bindings lol and the thing he complaining about (the rotating spells and flasks) is the same on controller so no point in switching over.

@@emperorborgpalpatine Moving your right hand between the arrow keys and the mouse is significantly more tedious then managing equipped items with the D-Pad (via your thumb). In order to have a similar experience with m&k you would need to use steam input to add keybinds to something like a razer naga to get a similarly ergonomic setup. Like yea, you can get used to the default k&m setup, and with some tinkering you can make it better, but by default the ergonomics are just objectively worse.
