I would love to see the contrast between Asian schools vs. Western Schools. I think seeing that difference is something sorely lacking in the overall discussion.
I was a college professor for 25 years. Two years ago, I retired in disgust from the wokeness not just from the students but also from the teachers, even the ones in sciences (I am a physicist). I could not stand their hypocrisy and their brainwashing anymore.
@@nrqed Congratulations for such a long career! That's impressive knowledge you learned and acquired. I hope you found a fulfilling way to share it and support you and yours while enjoying retirement! If you haven't been able to yet, hopefully soon 🇺🇲 Thank you for educating minds!
You could start teaching online. I'd be interested in a physics course. But yeah, I don't blame you for standing down and walking away from the woke BS Thanks for serving all those years and your dedication to science and education. 😊👍
I have come to the conclusion that a woman's biggest enemy is other women. After watching some vids posted of women showing how they rise early 4-5am to prepare breakfast and lunch for her husband, then sit and have coffee with him and talk while the children sleep. then numerous women berate her for doing this saying that he is a big boy now let him make it himself! She explained he works long hours so she stay with their children made no difference to the critics. I really enjoyed this style of vid Sydney I felt you were more relaxed, Keep up the great work
My lwife was kicked out of a NOW meeting for affirming her desire to be a stay-at-home mother. They told her she was missing the point and shouldn't want to serve the patriarchy. She responded that she didn't give a damn about the patriarchy, that she wanted a family, and what good is it to have the right to choose if she can only choose what feminism wants?
It's weird how certain units of "Body Type A" of the human species sometimes decide to think they are another class altogether and just break out of humankind.
The gaslighting is real... and then when they can't gaslight anymore, it switches over to "Of course X is happening, and here's why it's a good thing!"
I understand the burnout, Sydney. Take care of yourself, and don't despair. I appreciate what you do. We, your fellow travelers on the Hell Gondola, will be here for you as best we can.
(And, Sydney be assured you're not alone! I have to admit I also feel deprived of my energy concerning the seperation of society and the push forward of these modern idiology topic these days. Even though, I'm not living in the US, but in "the West" as well). Embracing the everyday comforts of a warm place, a roof over the head, being healthy and having a loving and supportive familiy/ friends helps a lot to calm myself down.
They're all friends? Democrats didn't spend 10 years trying to put Trump in prison? Doing illegal things to charge him, frame him, and harass him? lmao
When you point that out to MAGA club they get mad. Like Hillary and Trump being homies for decades, or Epstein. I also laugh at them pushing for Tulsi to run later. Their best Republicans are actually just former Dems. This is like the 100 years war. People think it’s English vs France. But it’s really a Franc ish family civil war lol. The Left always wins.
I would say that would of been true 20 years ago. Yet, in the last 12 years or so they been split down Party lines. At least the new comers have, lot of the 'old timers' will stop and talk, and may attend each other social functions. Yet, they don't come together to talk about anything. With one Party trying to impose it will on the other. It really needs to stop, and both sides need to work together more on the issue, than finding reasons why they should stay polar opposites.
They didn't find that porn Mark Longo was accused of having by Instagram so the animals had to die. Imagine if they went through L.A. and Washington DC in the same way! There'd be hundreds of orphaned pets everywhere.
there are these 2 guys here in Brazil that define Woke as the incapacity to think anything outside politics. I think that is a really good definition (and a really tiring thing for normal people).
I really dislike the "wHaT iS wOkE" question. It's the very thing that they've advocated for all the previous years and now pretending to not have any definition whatsoever. A simplistic definition from me is "an extreme form of intersectionality". Which can be expanded with by adding that it divides people into different groups and sets them against one another.
@@frishter Nice definition, here's mine: Rooted in critical race theory and intersectionalism, wokeism is fake victimhood for fake POC, gay or "non-binary" victims. In practice, wokeism demands lower standards for black people and demonization of white people. Wokeism falsely cries "racism" when it isn't. Wokeism is misplaced resentment and revenge against perceived white "oppressors." Wokeism seeks to mainstream and impose on everyone else the mental illness that is transgenderism, and to marginalize and ridicule straight men, especially straight white men. Wokeism substitutes empirical reality with "lived experience." Wokeism is a cult whose adherents ignore, gaslight, or shout you down if you call them on their crap.
In other words, an inability to compartmentalize. That sounds a lot like feminine intuitions, which are aggregative and solipsistic, being introjected into society at scale where they have never belonged.
As someone who's not a big fan of his, I was surprised how relieved I was when Trump not only won the electorate but also the popular vote. The relief didn't come from him winning but from knowing I'm not crazy, and I'm not alone. People see what's going on, and it felt good to see that reflected in numbers.
I cannot tell you how this statement resonates with me. It is LITERALLY, word for word, what I expressed to my friends and family yesterday. I can see the WE now for a 100% fact and not just my own feelings. The gaslighting isn't working and now WE know that for a fact.
Imagine how I feel. I have never been woke, but Ive been awake to the corruption of both sides since 2008. It took a long time to get to this point where so many people are actually seeing the evil that's been going on. Now I feel like I can actually relax some
Well said. I am at heart actually a left leaning person. But the plot has gotten lost for quite some time now. I was emotionally and intellectually sure that Trump would win after the ending attempt failed. Too many people were celebrating that he almost got ended, and too many people were happy that innocent people died. You cannot sell yourself as the accepting ones but also be complete monsters towards people that think differently. That is not how that works. Either you want diversity, which includes thought, or you don't. That frankly insane contradiction left an emotional need for me to see them lose. I have been thinking "How can you not see that you are harvesting the exact fruit that will make you lose? At every single turn." It honestly appeared to me like Kamala was trying to lose. Why would you NOT go on Rogan? He didn't even specifically want to talk about politics. Just to talk as humans and that was it. Why would you deny potential voters from seeing you as who you are? I am going to end it there, but the list keeps going and going and going. Everyone that told me that "They are not doing that. Kamala will win" are now undeniably proven wrong. It mattered, and it mattered a lot.
We live in the most affluent period of human history and that's why people can make a big deal out of issues that aren't really issues in regards to day-to-day life. When the power goes out and the shelves are empty people will realize how good we had it and what human nature really is.
Exactly right. There's a whole class of society that are completely isolated from the reality of how their lifestyle is supported. They are highly susceptible to being seduced by fashionable theory rather than boring old reality.
This is tru. It’s why I believe human nature doesn’t know how to deal with success. I think it’s the greed in us. It seems like we challenges and if we don’t have one, we’ll create one. I believe that’s where religion comes in. It puts people in their place.
@@dalixman2754, I think it's quite the opposite. Those people are so neglected and confused that they must find something to hold on to lest they disintegrate, and this is why they're so angry and desperate about being acknowledged and recognized.

Now post election, and I live in Canada...I can't tell you how many "leftie" friends I have declaring they want nothing more to do with their friends for expressing support for Trump. Meanwhile my "right wing" friends are posting messages of unity and care for the left. It's pretty telling.
We're seeing more leftists snapping out of the spells they've been under. For example, Ana Kasperian, whose attitude I used to loathe, seems to have matured considerably recently and has taken ownership - and indeed expressed embarrassment about - her previous positions. So there's hope! 🙂

I'm English or British to the rest of the world (despite Scotland and Wales also being in Britain) and I completely agree with what you say. I live in one of the greatest places to live in the world and yet so many young people hate it. I was one of them, once. Then one day I realised just how blessed I am to live here. I work with quite a few good friends from Africa and the are conservative in nature and they love the culture and rule of law. People who can't get here by legal means are trying other means and quite a lot end up dying in the process. There is a saying "you can't see the woods for the trees". Quite literally means some people don't know what they have and how lucky they are.
This!! Western women have it so much better in recent history than our neighbors. It's been so good for us that many can't see just how good we have it. We're allowed to go out without escorts. Most of us can say what's on our minds in private and in public not have to worry about legal or physical repercussions. We can decide for ourselves how much or how little clothing we wear and not face stoning or honor deletions. It's crazy!

Aussie here and can relate totally. Really makes me pine for the simpler times in the 90s and 2000s. Maybe I view that time through the lens of childhood and adolescence, but the world just seemed so much less retarded back then.
Loved the 90s and early 2000s!! No smartphones and pretty smart people to use it! SMS and calls were cool where people actually think something meaningful to say (or wrote) to each others. Nowadays ppl say/do dumb things (intentionally and not) and are proud to clout.
You'd really have loved the 80s. Imagine a world where your every, literal, move isn't tracked; your personal life isn't sold by some third party entity; you could move away and reinvent yourself....and there were actually jobs. Real jobs you could retire from and not die broke.

I am a progressive and I am NOT a fan of Trump in the slightest...but I am so disgusted by many of my fellow lefties who behaving like complete elitists, going around and vote-shaming people on the right, calling them all sorts of names. I feel the same, just treat me as an equal and I will do the same for you. But with that said, I just can't wrap my head around anyone who doesn't like Trump. Maybe his personality, but his policies are what people should vote on. To not like Trump means you don't want a better economy. You don't want better gas prices, and grocery prices, you don't want OT pay to be tax free. Again, as a person, fine, don't like him. But his policies helped us and to not like him just based on his personality really shows the difference between us right wingers and you lefties. We vote based on policies whereas you all vote based on how well you like your candidate. And I'm not trying to be inflammatory, I just genuinely don't understand.
@@wintermoon7003 I'll make it easy for you. For me, personally, it doesn't start with his politics; it starts with the fact that he's a 34-time convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, suspected pedophile, raging narcissist, and all-around idiot. I can't wrap my head around how anyone in this country can vote someone like that into office, regardless of which end of the political spectrum they're on. That said, the cheaper gas was due to supply and demand during the covid shutdown; fewer people were driving, so supply and demand dictated that the prices should drop. Once the country opened back up again, demand went up and so did prices. It's basic economics and it has very little to do with who was in the White House. If Trump manages to deport all of the immigrants, and pushes his tariffs through, cost of living will actually be going up, not down. American workers will be demanding higher wages and benefits, so it will cost more for the food that would normally be harvested by immigrant workers. You also don't realize how many goods and materials you use on a daily basis are imported. Tariffs are NOT paid by the exporting country but rather at the ports by the importing company. Capitalism will do what capitalism does and these companies are not going to take that hit for you, so they're going to pass that cost on to you by increasing the cost of their products to offset the tariffs. This isn't going to be the right-wing utopia you believe it will be if he keeps his campaign promises.
Just remember, the goal of the enemy is to make you tired & worn out so that you are easier to conquer. It’s a battle of attrition & the enemy will never run out of evil. We must stay strong & fight the good fight! Hold fast to truth & light & never surrender!

1. Do not conflate the government with the people. 2. Be tolerant and respectful to others, as you might wish them to be towards you. 3. Beware of those who would inflame and manipulate your emotions. Emotions can over-ride your intellect and reason. It's how politicians and media work.
I feel the exact same way. My cousin just blocked me this morning because I tried to reason with her. I promise I wasn't being snarky. I was actually trying to level with her because in 2016 I had the same views as she does now. And she's young, and a young mom, like I was. I even encouraged her to pay attention to her local politics if she actually feels scared. Three minutes after I commented she blocked me. And I understand but I too am EXHAUSTED with this "If you don't think like me we can't be in each other's lives" sentiments. If I acted like that I would never grow. I want all of us to be able to talk about out differing views. I want to learn from those who don't feel or think like me.
We are all exhausted by this election cycle. It made even worse when you realize one side is totally ignoring anything and everything the other side says or does. All the while painting the side they are ignore as evil bastards, while they are doing exactly doing what they claim will do if they gain power.
I've found that a lot that's going on these days is beyond my control, and that stressing over it will inevitably, and only, lead to burnout. @@BlueEyesWhiteBubbleDragon And not paying any attention to these things is how conservatives were apathetic, which allowed the corruption to become even larger. I realize that it gives people a headache, but that is kinda what they are counting on....
Remember the longer that they can stress you out, the more are prone to believe their lies after hearing the same BS time over time. The less you think about things critical enough to answer the simple question on if the direction that we are going is good for all of American as whole. When enough people lose that ability, then you find yourself in the mess we are now in.
Yep ignore everything. How did that work out for the world? We all ignored politics, but politics didn't ignore us. We all felt it and were dragged into it because it VERY much affected our lives in significant ways. CV lockdowns, woke insanity.
I understand exactly what you all are talking about, but I ask, what brought us here? Why do we say what we say and believe what we believe? Is it just because of Syd, or some other online personality? I believe it goes much deeper than that. I believe we're here because of our fathers; because they raised us with strength and wisdom. It's important to focus on the things that make you happy or give you purpose, like work, family, hobbies. Life will go on and the sun will come up tomorrow.
I appreciate you gathering your thoughts together and sharing your opinions, and I hope you know you’re not alone. The way that things shook out bought us time, and maybe things will change for the good. As anxious as people get over things, having something to hope for is very important.
Thank you for the timely video. The constant feeling of emergency is definitely a major issue that needs to change. If we can all remain more calm, we'll sort things out and be a lot happier.

I've been in a bad mood and worrying for all of last week. So thanks for posting this. Hearing a sanity restoring voice again has calmed me. It feels good to glimpse a light at the end of the tunnel again and also know that better times can be achieved, if we just keep pushing against stupidity. ❤
The real "anxious about the future" is when you don't have anything to eat and where to sleep and you don't know when you will next time. Everything else is easily fixable. Don't give up!
I think it's important for everyone to remember that no matter who is elected, YOU are the one who gets to choose what to do with your life. YOUR future will be built with YOUR hands. No matter what path is laid before you, YOU get to put on your shoes and choose how you walk it. BE COURAGEOUS.
I concur. Politics has infected so many things that people are inevitably divided, even when you just want out of politics. Doesn't mean that it'll stay this way for good.
''your future, with your hands, you choose how you walk it'' - my friend, that's called freedom, and there's one political side, that wants totalitarian communism, in case you haven't read a book, i'll fill you in - no such thing as freedom, under communism.
I'm old enough to remember when it was easy to recognize crazy. The guy standing on the corner literally yelling at clouds was easy to look at and shake your head and say "Poor guy's crazy." Now those people have unfettered access to the internet and the entire world in their pockets. They've always existed, it's just that before all they could do was yell at clouds. Now they yell at the entire world on social media. Though I also think that the advent of the internet and social media is actually making things worse in many other ways.
I suggest all the woke go to Nord Korea, they will like it there very much :) (woke people are in general deadly afraid of freedom and having to think for themselves and want to make the entire world into a woke version of North Korea....).
I'm from Brazil, and all I want is for my country to be decent-not the best, because that's impossible-but just a decent place where I can actually live. People in Brazil don't really live; they just survive. My city, Rio de Janeiro, is the definition of disaster; there’s something terrible happening all the time. Every time you turn on the TV, it's all about tragedy. You're bombarded with misery 24/7, and if you hope for something better, you're seen as the one who's wrong or naive, because apparently being good and wanting to do things right just makes you a fool. On top of that, there's a ridiculous political divide, where each side claims they're defending what's 'right.' And when you just want a break from all this misery, so-called 'diversity' has taken over everything-video games, comics, movies, series, and cartoons. You're bombarded with it everywhere, and if you don't agree with it, they label you with whatever new insult they’ve come up with. Man, I'm just tired of it all. The sad part is that I love Brazil, and I wish it could simply be a decent place, but that seems like it’s never going to happen. I know this sounds negative, but when just going out to buy something could mean getting robbed or killed-or both-it's hard to stay positive. 'Brazil, the country of tomorrow.' Sorry for the long message, but it’s just the truth from a 26-year-old who’s exhausted.
Brazil has had the short end of the stick with so many things. It is not the country or it's government, but the people of Brazil that have been suffering. Outside of the countries economic and safety issues, it is almost insulting that even media like movies or games, that is supposed to give you some relief from all of that is filled with woke nonsense, or even just completely unaffordable because of lack of regional pricing. I shudder to think that you are only 26 and already have the perspective of an old tired soul, where hope is often idle and the future mostly scary rather than anything else. There is hope, even just in this US election. The fact that Trump has the backing of some great Democratic candidates, like RFK and Tulsi Gabbard gives a serious start to unite normal americans. In Europe we have conservative nations like Hungary or Poland that simply don't want war with Russia, In Germany and France there is massive pushback to progressivism, immigration and economic malpractice. Even on your own continent we see El Salvador and Argentina making drastic changes. I can't say it's all good, but they are changes that might work out for the better in the long run. I do wish you can find your hope again .. and the courage to go out on the streets where it might not be safe, or the courage to either build a better country or find and restart in another one that can provide a better life.
People who fight for inclusion and diversity in Brazil exist too, but they're even worse here because we've got favelas. I live in a favela, so I know what I'm talking about. They’re a bunch of drug addicts who climb up the hill for drugs and then blame the police. They say they’re fighting for people in the favela-what a joke. They don’t know what it means to actually live here; no one lives here, they just survive. Don’t fall for the idea that a favela is a place where people help each other-that’s a lie. Here, someone’s always trying to get ahead of others or do something wrong, but they don’t care as long as it benefits them. Doing the right thing makes you a ‘sucker,’ and you’ll hear things like ‘everyone does it.’ I’ve heard that so many times. Trying to reason with these people is a waste of time. At least people in the favela aren’t left or right-they just follow what benefits them. I'm not saying that’s a good thing, but at least they’re not stupid enough to believe that any politician in Brazil has a real side. Living in a favela means dealing with criminals who have better weapons than the police. They use drones to monitor residents. You can’t visit if you’re from a rival favela; if you have family in one, forget it-you’ll get killed. The internet belongs to them, so you have to use their network. Cable TV? It’s theirs too. They only allow the cell phone providers they control. So imagine my face when I see headlines like, ‘The Favela Has Won.’ We haven’t won anything. I just wish the media would stop this insane cycle of glorifying misery, like, ‘Look at those poor people, how cute.’ What really gives dignity is tearing down these slums and urbanizing them properly with security-ending this whole ‘favela’ or ‘underprivileged community’ label. Turn it into a real neighborhood, not a crowded place where people live like rats. It’s a sad place that should be taken seriously, not treated as a tourist attraction for wealthy middle-class people who start NGOs and organize ‘favela day’ events. One time I saw a show on TV about favela culture. What culture, for God’s sake? The kind that keeps poor people in an endless cycle of poverty, misery, and ignorance for politicians to get votes and the media to play good Samaritan with their fake morality? Probably that one. All I want is to watch something decent or play, but I can’t since everything’s ruined. I could give in, but I’d rather not. I’ll keep doing the right thing, watching my old shows and playing my old games. I prefer to live in the ‘past’ because the future feels stupid. I’m only not giving in to apathy like some here in Brazil because that’s not who I am. I get it, you probably looked at my comment and genuinely wished I had hope-I appreciate that, really. I’m just tired because, think about it, my country is divided; then there’s the whole woke nonsense, plus a complete lack of security, and for some reason, fake morality is popular too. It’s a mess. If I were to describe Brazil, or better yet, Rio de Janeiro since that’s where I live, I’d say, imagine Twitter, but all those accounts are real people. Mix that with everyone from your country’s prison population, add a sprinkle of corruption, and throw in some woke stuff. There’s no escape valve. People in my city talk about civil war, but it’s not going to happen-they’re too soft for that. But it shows how frustrated and exhausted everyone is. I’m not saying Trump would be bad for your country, but I can’t say he’d change things here, you know? I want to have hope, but it’s hard.@@pinobluevogel6458
@@sr.g3747 This sounds far worse than I even imagined. The reason why I see a Trump victory (which it seems to look like now) as a positive thing for Brazil, is that the US has been meddling in middle and south american countries for quite a while, overtly but also covertly. Now I can't say for sure that this has happened in Brazil, but they have been destabilizing most neighbouring countries, or at the very least having a negative influence on them. Trump's foreign policy, if he is allowed to go through with it, is isolationism. That means that the influence and meddling on the southern part of the continent might become less. This will not help the country directly, but it might allow it to help itself with less resistance keeping it down than before. This is all speculation though, we don't even know if Trump is going to be able to do anything, but I do believe it is his intention to stop meddling in other country's affairs, which is a good thing. Like you, I do not live in the US, I'm lucky enough to be born and raised in the EU. While our goverments have been corrupt and kow-towing to US interests for decades, at least our countries have been relatively stable. I'm terrified what will happen to my city if my candidate wins. I'm also terrified what will happen to my city is my candidate loses. I fear no matter the outcome the division will increase. I'm afraid that political violence will happen with more regularity. I'm scared by the thought that each side of the political spectrum will villainize the other and see any action taken against them as accepted because they"deserve it" for no reason beyond they belong to the "other" group. I miss the America I lived in as a child. The one where we were not afraid to let people be people. To let children be free and have fun. A populace that might not agree with each other on everything but would listen to what each other had to say. A place that is so far from what we have today it might as well be a fantasy world instead of just a few decades of history. I really don't want my homeland to hate itself for being itself.

I served in the first Trump Administration and I am still doing what I can to help, but I tune out a lot of the vitriol and garbage that passes for political discourse lately. I also did some world travel lately, which I loved, and which gave me fresh perspective about the US and its place in the world. I’m thankful for my country not because of its politicians but because of its people. You have a special talent for communicating truth in an engaging, entertaining way. I hope you keep it up. Even though we won the election, voices like yours are more important than ever! Peace and God bless
I'm tired of fighting insanity. It's incredibly frustrating. As tired as I am I figure I'll stop pushing back when I'm dead, until then the fight continues...
@TheQuickSilver101 Stop buying into the lie that "the other side" is insane. Just because people see wild stuff on the other side, doesn't mean that's the opinion of most Americans. At the end of the day, our government is controlled by corporate donors, and they will be the real winner of this and every election
I feel the same way. With how the world is right now with the extreme political discord, inflation, and crappy job market, it feels like the future is getting bleaker by the day. The only way I hold onto what litte shred of hope I have left is by adopting a "It has to get worse before it gets better" mentality but even that is starting to show cracks because every day it just seems to get a little worse.
As a GenX’er I’m kind of scared that this will be just another apocalypse that never happens and leaves us hanging without the built up anxiety going away.
AS a person who doesn't exactly feel the same way as you on certain topics, I am really tired of a lot of the scary behaviour of "normal" people. I hate how divided people seem. It sucks.
@matthewpletsch7523 I don't really see "scary behavior" unless it's on social media or the news. Real people out there aren't that bad. Just ignore political topics in conversation and the world will be a lot brighter
Truly, you are one of very very few voices of sanity I’ve heard in quite a while. We have literally the same situation in Poland, 2 major parties dividing people and even whole families…
I learned a long while ago that these matters are often beyond my control. So I turned my attention on the simpler things around me to partake in. Focusing on my local community, family, friends, sharing kindness and love to those around me.
Honestly good take. Americans (and Honestly humans in general) are best when we're helping our own. Main thing the government does is pick and choose how they want to stop that sl they can be the "solution"
That is important however too many go to far and not participate or speak up or even vote. Changing & influencing your school board for instance is in your control. But most people can't be bothered to go to meetings and read up on what is going on for instance.
We have as a species, been coming to terms with the reality that all of our planned futures have drastically had to change since 2020. We have collectively been in mourning for a world view that no longer exists, we have been forced to wake up to the reality that Emotional Incompetence has been allowed to rule and no we aren't crazy for seeing it... the world is crazy.
@@terrorbilly1 no? What about around 170 years ago? Hint Seneca Falls. Oh and 30 years ago was after I was in school, and it was everywhere in the school system then. To the point as a kid I could see transgender coming just from how much hate for boys there was.
@@parrotshootist3004 honestly, from what you're saying it looks like we were growing up in two parallel worlds (maybe because I'm from former soviet country). I do recall harshness aka discipline towards young boys, but I certainly wouldn't call it hate.
The burnout is real and so goddamn relatable but Sydney- you have actually changed the world. You have changed people’s outlook and mentalities and plans. That is literally life changing for so many of us who feel politically orphaned, ideologically enraged, and generally despondent.
This is the exact conversation I had with a coworker today. You have almost quoted what I said word for word. Thankfully I think they finally understood where we are coming from when we say we're just over it and have to get back to "some semblance of normalcy". Thank you Sydney.
The issue was people voted for Biden for instance because whether or not they knew his policies were harmful, the narrative was "normal" & "quite". They would trade liberty for false security. So yes we need to not burn out but too many check out & stay checked out 100% of the time.
I think you articulated well what many are experiencing. There is a free-floating anxiety that is nearly all-pervasive because people don't know who to trust or what to believe. This mental state cannot be endured indefinitely; eventually the person becomes exhausted and will grasp at anything that promises peace and relief. It seems to me this is the intended outcome. Get people tired and confused, and willing to do just about anything for relief. This increases the likelihood that whatever "solution" is presented to the masses will be swallowed up with little to no thought as to whether it's a true solution to the problem at hand.
Having already gone through this in an other country, the relief of having a stable government focused on proper economics is very welcome. Progressivism is toxic and would get dramatically worse under Harris. She toned it down to get elected, but the US dodged a big one.
It's very sad how Australia is going down the exactly same path that at this point I'm ashamed to be an Australian. But as you pointed out where else has things better.
Ask yourself this question: Why has every 1st world nation, at the exact same time, declined and declined, at the same rate as each other. It takes a collective effort of powerful, wealthy people to do that. it's not a coincidence, my friend. All planned. They want you in chains, so they live larger. That's simply it. They have convinced morons that communism will undo all of this.
We can as aussies atleast be a bit more thankful of the privileges we do have here. Like subsidised health care. But I agree, politically, we have a lot of puppets here, acting in real bad faith.
You are not crazy, Sydney. I'm 66 years old and have frequently had to retreat from the madness of media for periods of time to relax and relish the immediate joys of life. You'll be fine. :O)
Chin up, Syd. We have each other. We just need to stick together and keep standing up to the new standard that it's okay to treat other people like shit based on their differences. They can't disappear us all. We're like half the country. Let's not let it feel bigger than it is.
@@ninjafoxgamesgeekery Nice sentiment to think governments should service the needs of their citizens, but governments are only concerned with ensuring its own continued existence. Nobody in the government gives a damn about "the people" - they just do their jobs well enough to keep their bosses happy, and that paycheck coming every month.
I'm concerned about more prevalent medical freedoms, education quality, import tariffs, insidious government control, etc. I'm not deeply concerned about high corner justice marching - I don't see it or hear it much. We need some sanity.
Not that I’m so wise but I’ve noticed things in society are cyclical and usually find their way back to sanity eventually. Our ability to cope with madness fluctuates too. Sad to see you struggling, I feel like you’re a friend of sorts. Hang in there, you’re on the right side of decency. It’ll all work out.
Empires are usually built by trampling others, by having a common enemy or common goal. When that common goal is lost, it's usually the crack that eventually breaks the empire's back. Mentalities have very little, if anything at all, to do with it.
Us too. The future is not very bright most days. I feel like sometimes I woke up and it is bizzarro world, meaning I woke up in some alternate reality where everything is opposite of what it was just yesterday. Like some force is messing with our minds. Also very burned out from it all.....nothing surprises me anymore I am numb to what I thought would never be possible not just for a country but for Humanity in general.
The burn out is real. It's done now, settled, the people have spoken. Let's try to just get back to minding our families, work to improve our lot in life, and just be kind. Thanks for giving a voice to my own thoughts.
Canada has a multi-party system. It makes no difference - the same two parties just take turns destroying the nation with even smaller shares of the popular vote. Our current rulers only has 33% of the vote meaning they were elected by a minority of the population.
You'd think, with how divided the two parties are these days, there must be a giant population at the center of the political spectrum just waiting to be gobbled up by a reasonable third party.
@@TAThor Three party elections inevitably result in a two party system when no party ever has a clear mandate. Look at Canada, the Liberals formed a government with a mere 33% of the popular vote, the PCs were the official opposition with 34% of the vote.
I am grateful to live in the USA (Hawaii). When people harp on about "losing democracy" and becoming a "fascist" state it can be taxing. I put those terms in parenthesis because the meaning of those words is so drastically meaningless today. And the next 4 years will actually be defining more than we can say right now. I thank Elon Musk for buying Twitter/X and restoring a sense of truth in media. Ideas need to be debated, social policy needs to be debated, or vision of what makes us great as a country needs to be debated honestly. I get really tired of the propaganda dispensed as if it is truth. I really enjoy Sydney's commentary and others here on TH-cam for breathing some fresh air into these debates and discussions. Now, do I need some tea for Christmas? Oi!
The ironic thing is that Elon Musk has been banning people from saying things like "cisgender" and banning pages that he doesn't like. So he isn't in favor of free speech at all. He just wants censorship that agrees with him.
I mean if you look at the world economic forum and their ESG agenda. That seems to be the biggest threat of fascism to the western world. At least my understanding of fascism. Gotta replace ultra nationalism with a combination of globalism, climate change, and identity politics. Like wokeism I guess you could call it for lack of a better term. Now when they call Trump a fascist Or Elon Musk or acting like they’re a threat to Democracy. It’s quite ridiculous. The right can overreach as well. I’m struggling to find a good example of it. But it’s out there. It just doesn’t bother me as much so it doesn’t stick the same. But yeah there’s a huge amount of Americans that lack perspective and understanding how fortunate we really are.
You’re a very smart, edjucated, awesome young lady! I don’t know how you got into my algorithm but I’m glad I spent the time to listen to what you have to say! I can tell your a very open person and your not blind or crazy!
Good video, Sydney. Even though I'm not American (watching from New Zealand), I feel very burnt out from all the insanity going on in the world, not just where politics are concerned. It's so hard to wrap my head around everything that's going on that, sometimes, I wonder why I even try. I usually resort to my hobbies (such as watching/photographing trains) in an effort to ease my mind. In any case, my Dad told me to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
I'm not American nor do I live in the US so from my perspective this election is more concerned with it's effect on global affairs rather than the social factors Americans are no doubt concerned about. There is no denying the destabilizing effect the current Democrat regime has had all over the globe. Western allies are embroiled in conflicts on three separate fronts, and all of it kicked off within the past 4 years. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Another Democrat win only ensures the continuation and escalation of these conflicts. Harris is many things but a strong leader she is not.
We can't worry about the social before we put out the dumpster fires everywhere. Actually it's just a return to anti-war America. The people have always been anti-war. It's the politicians that don't listen to us and the indoctrination started under Obama. Whereas millennials fell for it, Gen Z is turning back to anti-war again.
For sure the current democrat party in power is a warmongering power. Trump himself might not want war, but during his first sting as sitting president, he was also influenced by neo-con hawks that basically want the same thing. It will be very important to get people in power that stay away from this, so peace can come back, even though that will be hard to achieve as the money behind all this wants another direction.
As an American I can tell you nothing much is going to change. We still have the house and senate, and they all serve their corporate donors. Corporate donors will be the only winner
Very different but I found it encouraging the way she delivered a lot of thoughts so casually and with a connection to inner peace and joy that I haven't seen from her before. It encouraged me to take the topic down a few notches in importance and not let the anxiousness and fear of the unknown win. "Positive Sydney" gave us a message of hope and I loved it.
The co-opting of actual psychological terms like "gaslighting", " narcissism", and "triggered" drive me nuts. These are real things that have been diluted by social media and popular usage. I'd be willing to hear the other side out, if they'd just not be mean about it. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. I miss having civil disagreements.
Sydney, you’re a extremely intelligent and strong woman. I’ve been a fan of yours through AU, USA D.C. and now Big-D (I think). You never caved to the nonsense from the mainstream media. You’ve fought vociferously to protect our children (Pudding People) from the progressive insanity. You’re also a very powerful woman-when Sydney Watson speaks, over a MILLION PEOPLE listen, now that’s POWER! So, chin-up and shoulders back! Your parents, family, and friends must be so incredibly proud of you-I sure am!
I've never commented before, Sydney, but I wanted to say, "thanks." I just want people to think about things rationally and from as many perspectives (even the ones they might knee-jerk back away/disagree with some aspect of) that they reasonably can, to make logical decisions based on reality, personal preferences of individuals aside. I'm just so tired, not just over politics. Again, thank you.
I got extremely tired also. I live close to DC and it is very daunting to live day by day in fear of what is coming in the future. I hope and pray to God that this Country can move farward.
Thankfully this time everything was effectively decided by Tuesday night. Granted, there could still be challenges to certain elections (and at least Arizona hasn't yet called which candidate won for SOME REASON), but almost everyone in the know agrees Trump won.
I really hate election years, as the "information" flying around about all the candidates and why you should(n't) vote for them...is horribly overwhelming. No matter the outcome, it's impossible to please everyone. I'm still burned out, unsure of how to feel. My processor is sparking...
@@dmtaboo_truth7052 Possibly? I don't really remember and admittedly don't feel like trying to look that up. All I'm really saying is that there is an absolute pile of shit that's sitting in Arizona due to the fact that it's one of only a mere handful of states that haven't called the presidential and some senatorial seats. The same goes for any House seats that haven't been called, although IIRC that is more nationwide than just Arizona.

I would like to watch that vlog you mentioned.
It's weird how certain units of "Body Type A" of the human species sometimes decide to think they are another class altogether and just break out of humankind.
Unfortunately, a lot of women have this mindset that a husband and wife are just individuals and not a team.
The Leadership of the Feminism Movement was taken over man hating lesbians. Their current attitude is a direct reflection of that.
It’s OK, Sydney. I’m here from the future and everything went perfectly.

Once everyone realizes these politicians each go to dinner together, go to each others' weddings, and are CLOSE FRIENDS, you'll all feel much better.

It really needs to stop, and both sides need to work together more on the issue, than finding reasons why they should stay polar opposites.

there are these 2 guys here in Brazil that define Woke as the incapacity to think anything outside politics. I think that is a really good definition (and a really tiring thing for normal people).
Who?
Trump just lies about everything. This election has nothing to do with 'woke'

To all the Americans who said they will leave USA if Trump wins, please don't come here!

They are not leaving. We are a great country. They just want someone to care about what they say. Narcissism is a hell of a drug.
They should illegally immigrate to Mexico instead.
On top of that, there's a ridiculous political divide, where each side claims they're defending what's 'right.'
And when you just want a break from all this misery, so-called 'diversity' has taken over everything-video games, comics, movies, series, and cartoons. 'Brazil, the country of tomorrow.'
Sorry for the long message, but it’s just the truth from a 26-year-old who’s exhausted.

Gaslighting is a euphemism for lying. Let's be clear.

@ninjafoxgamesgeekery The American government is bought and paid for by large corporation donors.
@@ninjafoxgamesgeekery Nice sentiment to think governments should service the needs of their citizens, but governments are only concerned with ensuring its own continued existence.

The "life goes on mentality" is part of the reason why empires fall
Empires are usually built by trampling others, by having a common enemy or common goal. When that common goal is lost, it's usually the crack that eventually breaks the empire's back. Mentalities have very little, if anything at all, to do with it.
Empires are called empires because their existence is fragile. However yes for the people life does go on even after the empire fell.
More like how they rebuild. Empires fall because of hubris and greed. “Life goes on” is about persistence, not selfishness.

I wish there could be a third party with a chance of winning: a mix of ideas and an end to a 2 horse race.
There is. It's called MAGA, and they just won.
I just want communism to be gone from the leftists.
There you go. America has a president they desired and richly deserved.
It's okay to feel. It's okay to have a limit when it comes to hearing about a topic.
Yeah, the democrats totally started two major wars. By that logic, Covid was Trumps fault because he was the president at the time.
@@WeToddEd-r3gif trump declassified the jfk files, things will start to change.

I'm just glad you and others aren't afraid to stand by their opinions and voice them
I've never commented before, Sydney, but I wanted to say, "thanks." I just want people to think about things rationally and from as many perspectives (even the ones they might knee-jerk back away/disagree with some aspect of) that they reasonably can, to make logical decisions based on reality, personal preferences of individuals aside. I'm just so tired, not just over politics. Again, thank you.
Haha love the intro... "Welcome back to hell!" 🤣
I got extremely tired also. I live close to DC and it is very daunting to live day by day in fear of what is coming in the future. I hope and pray to God that this Country can move farward.
