Thoughts & Tips:
Take the route i took, its the safest way to clear out the map up until the basement stairs, things get really ugly as you're going up from the basement. I died in this part multiple times.
If you want to play EXTRA safe and are struggling to leave the basement from those stairs: make your way back to the beginning of the map, go down all the way down onto the kitchen, then take a right and this should allow you to get a little closer to enemies. A little safer, but still incredibly dangerous.
This map was quite hard, took about 4 hours of gameplay to complete, and yes, i did have a previous rank S run. and it was about 2 runs prior to this video. However, my recording got cut off in the middle as my drive filled up, so i figured id give it a few more shots to see if i could get rank S again or else i'd just use the freecam view. But i managed to do it again!

How many times are you doing one level? All the times it looks clean perfect, but I wonder how many times you fail. Maybe do a quick montage at the end of the video of each time when you failed.
@@MoonR1d3r For most, hours worth of retries. The fastest maps for me have been ; kawayu beach (2-3 tries), twisted nerve (2nd try), Gas Station (2nd try), Rusted belt (2nd try), Elephant (1 hour ~, multiple tries)
For longest have been;
Valley of the dolls - 3 hours ~
Mindjot center - 3-4 hours ~
Brisa cove - 5 hours ~
Postal office - 7-8 hours ~
The problem with the quick montage concept is i get rid of failed attempt recordings as my drive has been filling up fairly quickly :/
but honestly i did think of compiling all my rage moments of fails after all the maps, there have been dozens and dozens, but again, having deleted all the failed content thats a no go 😭

I've never S ranked this specific mission because none of the suspects deserve to live, so this is a new perspective of the level for me. lmao
Engaging those 4 guys near the pool area was pure luck. In any of my plays they would have killed me on their first shot but you only got knicked in the arm like once there.

1 or 2 of those guys it was understandable that i didnt die, but the guy who shot me as i panic sprinted back to the stairs was super lucky
You got aswell lucky that they didn't shoot each other by accident, because of ricochet and whatnot you might end up restarting to achieve S...

When I manage to get them to drop their gun, they pull out their sidearm in about 3 seconds. Voll's Security is ruthless...
For me the rest of the security guards came down into the basement one at a time after I cleared it. Basically we set up a firing line.

The optic wand is meant to be a multi purpose peeking tool,used to have one irl, they're great for airsoft.
SWAT4 actually taught us to use it for corners too, they even have the designated command for the AI teammates.
Helped much when clearing Mindjot Data Center.
That actually helped me S rank "A Lethal Obsession." Far too many corners/Traps in that house. Never try Lethal Obsession without one. You could also try a breaching shotgun, but that's far less versatile, and doesn't really provide any intel on scene, but it allows you to safely trigger traps from a distance.

I personally HATE how they changed getting S rank, you used to be able to get it if suspects refused to surrender and tried to raise their gun to you or shoot. Now you have to arrest everyone and in certain missions where it feels like every second guy has a 5.56 or above that can shoot through walls it becomes extremely oppressive
agree 100%, now it is almost impossible. They shoot through walls and if you show 1 pixel of your hitbox, you are dead. Impossible to prefire corner and peek.
I want a 100 pages essay from delevopers how am I supposed to do S rank on Hide n Seek and any other map with long ranges and suspcets who will still shot you after flashbang, taser and gas
I understand the frustration but if it helps equip a shield for ai for each team, run 2 mags of primary pepper ball AR, 10 CS gas grenades, 1 taser, and stinger m320. As you clear rooms the ai teammates will take out shield and distract and tank the suppression and you can just pepper them or my favorite stinger them.
Edit: the game right now forces you to play tactically and think 2 steps ahead, knowing the layout of each map can be key to success.
You guys see right to be frustrated but please stop calling it impossible. Yes, it is difficult cause sometimes civies get caught in crossfire or even suspects get TKd and you have to restart.
It CAN be done. I’m almost done S ranking every mission. I just need five more. Get a solid team from the discord and arrest all these bastards my fellow Kings.

@ right? Idk what’s good with that. It seems as though specifically on this map, every time I engage in a gunfight my frames drop horribly. It’s always right when I make contact too. Terrible timing. Glad I got this one out of the way. Now I can have fun and slaughter amos and stuff again😂
@@BenjiFrank So apparently a solution to this is opening the game via the explorer instead of the launcher itself, like Steam for example. Just right click the game and press "show in files" then navigate to the .exe file and run the game like that. Haven't really had any major fps drops since doing that.

this game turned into a "dont rage until you get good rng where they broke and dont shoot you" lol
pretty much comes down to accepting the fact you'll die multiple times, and start mapping out the ideal pathing to take to minimize risky situations, in the case of nonlethal, that being glasses / stuff you can shoot through
the fact this game doesnt have a retry button adds to the rage so much though lol
why not instell the AI nerf mod that will turn them into realistic humans instead of drugged up cs go fanatics.

2. When you got an enemy you asked them to come forward you to avoid being hit by others

It really shows how off the AI are though. Literally every single dude decided to stand up and try their chances twice. It should be some of them not literally every single suspect.
@@Druark think about it though. If I was one of those guys in that situation, I would do the same. It was a 1v4, those odds seem good. Maybe the AI is realistic
@@seansmith8222 You might but most people wouldn't stand up to shoot a guy they've already surrendered too especially when they've just seen 3 previous guys try it and fail horribly. As I said, someone should do it but not all of them.
@@Druark I meannn if I was in that situation with 3 of my buds and this one single guy somehow manages to incapacitate me and everybody would definitely try taking the chance to make them have a false sense of security and jumped at them in the right time. At least if you complain about it the enemies have only have one sidearm indicates they actually are now surrendering and it isn't artificial difficulty making them do that more than once.
@@user-ot8wl7oh9s Except it doesn't work that way. I've played plenty of the missions in this game where guys in hoodies pull out a pistol after surrendering, then a revolver and then a knife. How many times do you have to shoot a guy before they realise it isn't going to work? It isn't realistic or fun, it's just ridiculous. The state of the forum right now shows that most people agree.

Wow this is the first RON video I've watched where I thought, oh this guy actually knows what he's doing.
The shootout by the stage was a serious piece of gunfighting. Bravo!
After 4 consecutive days I finally achieved the S ranking. It is very complicated if you do it alone. My advice is that if you don't achieve it, you have to take the BEAN BAG shotgun to be able to neutralize the enemies with a single shot. 2 maximum when you arrest 6 or 7 suspects call the red or blue team to help you clean the pool area so you can go down to the bottom. This video really helps a lot, thank you.
Here's a tip: if you tell suspects to turn around before telling them to crawl towards you, they'll be less likely to gun for their gun.
Never thought of just.. shooting next to the dudes with the pepperball. Nice trick, gonna have to steal that one.
I've finally finish this map with S rank. I spent whole weekend and about a hundred attempts. Your walkthrough is very rapid brave and suicidal. After tens rush attempts i became a real hunter with mirror gun waiting for minutes when a suspect turns away. Avoiding fire contact is crucial on this level, because it's too big. Plus my heavy armored bot teammates helped me soaking bullets in the basement.

I tried to bring all tied guards to the pool zone to take an amazing screenshot, but LOL suddenly other police guys appeared and started to carry my prey outside

@@HauyneXthis game has so many buttons you have to map. No way to do that on a controller. But I think you can plug mouse & keyboard into the new consoles? Could be wrong
After S tiring every mission, literally nothing is more satisfying than going in with heavy armor and an FAL.
There's a FAL? Mod or base game I've never seen it?
When I use pepperballs, its common for the enemies to ignore commands and shoot for a short period. Your suspects stop moving and give up instantly! I don't get it!
I don't know how stress full this could have been for you, but i got very stressed watching this. I commend you for having the skill to due this with nonlethal tools.

I got lucky with this run.
On my run, only 2 bad guys on outside (near the pool area), so its really easy for me to arrest them using utilities
Also i used beanbag, cause i dont understand how to use VKS lol.
Took me 30 tries tho lol

The pool area shows a fatal flaw in the ranking system of this game.
Maybe instead of making it absolutely necessary to not kill anyone, keeping a gun man alive can safe you points if you lose some for other reasons.
You had 4 enemies at once and had to follow these rules:
-Always and only shoot the legs or arms
-Do it twice because they pull out another gun
-Keep an eye on anyone in the room

To my knowledge, you’ve never needed to avoid shooting them wherever you want with the pepper-ball gun. Sometimes he shot the ground to avoid accidental unauthorized force and/or to get an AOE effect on a target whenever he didn’t have a clear shot on them.
This is why I prefer the beanbag shotgun. Only takes 1 or 2 shots for someone to reconsider and surrender. :)
This is how I beat this level too! Clear up to the stairs, wedge the door to the floating corridor then move back around and clear from that side. Except I put my AI crew to use 😝
The guy in the pool table room would have smoked me the second he got up but you escaped with like no damage
Got to the basement on my first try after watching, last suspect killed me.
That mansion is quite a treat but the enemy is bullet sponges on legs.
i got 70 hrs in this game and only now realise the mirrorgun can look around corners. ehhh

been doing this for about 20 attempts, my favourite map and most despised all at the same time. chasing S rank can be a brutal experience

Everyone says to avoid the bridge inside the house. I personally love the bridge. I can lure enemies from outside and downstairs into the open a pick them off.

Watching this just made me so frustrated. Been trying to s rank this mission for hours and seeing u get it with such a carefree playstyle grinds my gears 😂 No hate though, good shit.
Great run. Took me and my buddy dozens and dozens of tries to S Rank as a duo. I do have a question for you though; why do you peek doors and then use your body to open them as you go through? Does it make it completely silent for enemy AI? I try not to do that as it makes your weapon unusable if you are too close to the door, but it seemed like it was working for you.
Cant confirm 100%, but it seems that way.
Maybe its only effective when the suspects aren't already looking at the door, though? Idk
I do it this way too, it seems to confuse the AI. I rarely get insta-domed that way
AI will hear you open a door but won't hear you peeking and opening it with your shoulder. Reduces the risk of getting domed by cracked AI by a lot

This is one of the hardest things I've ever accomplished in a game. I couldn't handle the Pepper Balls. I brought the bean bag shotgun, seven smokes, and one pistol magazine to break windows since beanbags won't go through them.
This run feels like if a chinese dad was mad at his son for going to a party and decides to go retrive him
I'm actually really curious if you planned for your SWAT teammates abilities as well. As far as I'm aware, there are some abilities that sound like they would aid in a non-lethal run, like "Pacifier" and "Intimidator".
However, with how janky some of the 1.0 features are, I'm not so sure how effective or even relevant the SWAT AI is in doing this style of Solo 'S' runs.

A tip for doing future runs: you can open a friends only multiplayer lobby to play missions solo without needing to have your team wait outside. You cant get achievements in multiplayer (I think) but I hope that changes soon. Great video!

Today we passed this map to S rank in a trio on about the 5th attempt. The first 4 attempts ended very quickly, not far from the first room. In the end I was the last one standing against 3 suspects without a mirror gun. It was a real hassle, and by the time all the suspects were neutralized, my mouse was wet with sweat.
A successful wound took 50 minutes, of which 10 minutes I was looking for the last civilian (who, as it turned out, had been hiding 3 meters from the last suspect all this time).
Since when can you S rank a map with a downed officer? Does the game not care about officers in MP like it does in SP?
@@ptimax43 In multiplayer, officers are not individuals within the game, there is no stress level, no perks, and they cannot be sent to the doctor. But at least you still lose points if you don't report dead officers.
How did you get S Rank? From what I've heard, players are suffering due to a bug where their gun discharges randomly out of nowhere when they were about to arrest Voll. They also claimed before arresting Voll, they saw the basement.

I have this weird bug where the enemy is always insta-doming me with five sevens even when i slow walk and backtrack and come from new angles. It's only the guys that have five sevens that do so.
do you use any mods? sometimes mods that help with recoil or make your swat team stronger also applies to enemies

I’ve been trying to do this the last 3 days, jumped from 38 hours of play time to 70 with, by now probably, hundreds of attempts, they just always seem to clip me through a wall or aimbot the piss out of me. But I will get it
I felt exhausted about the rule that everyone shall be alive to get S rank, especially this map. Near the pool that was an open area, which means highly possibility that someone would die during the cross fire >< I'm still trying. At least i got some different concept of the entering route from this video.

Just got valley of dolls S last week. So insanely hard, fun to see we basically got the same route, but i could have used the pepperball trick. Do you shoot at their feet because of aoe effect??

you lack of doorjams on every run is suprising. I love completely locking off segments of the map so that no-one can sneak up on me. "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me" kinda deal
I ran 8 mags, 5 CS Grenades and and Gas Launcher for the extra 4 gas at distances for outdoor and large rooms that I needed to ensure the gas was at the far end of the room
5:11 pro tip by pressing "B" you can do melee attack with barrel of your gun, I had 100% success rate of suspect giving up. you can do this with side arm mirror gun and even when holding a flashbang for some reason
Who in their right mind would continue to resist the police when the dude just 5v1'd you all with non lethal rounds, I would've died of a heart attack instead
The AI in the game isn't realistic to begin with. I have personally encountered hostiles who was shot with live rounds and dropping their weapon, only to get back up and slowly attempt to retrieve their weapon again like nothing happened despite being told to surrender.

Why do you peek doors and then press into them like a shield? Is opening doors a loud action? If so, I had no clue.

yeah, peeking makes far less noise, when you open they immediately turn
How do you get the game to run so smoothly? I have two solid gaming PCs (desktop and laptop) and this game runs like trash, even on Medium settings with DLSS on. The frame rate drops when indoors is especially wild.
Just detained and reported everyone in this level then proceeded to miss Voll's Laptop, big sad about the A+
I still don't know how they aren't getting you through walls. Walls are like paper, I can't count the number of times I tried pulling back behind a wall only to get ventilated.
How did you get the extra lean? Didn't know you could lean that far in game, or is it a mod?
Hold Alt to and wasd to do various kinds of leans, including high and low.
