Yeah, like I get it's a twist where at least one character knows they are in a game, and based on the rating for "blood and violence" and overly chipper voice there's probably some horror elements too, but still this trailer doesn't really tell me much about what the game is like. What we need is a farming simulator game that slowly turns into a horror game because the farmers want to trap you and have you harvest radish and cauliflower for them for all eternity
Twist is a little too late in the trailer. Target audience is already lost interest and the audience that it did maintain might be put off by the horror twist right at the end.
It's weird that people hate on games like this, but then praise Animal Crossing for doing the same thing. But I guess that's just how Nintendo fans are.
Interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of the art design choices but I am curious about the simulation aspect, why your character is entering the sim, what's going on with their memories, and the story behind what's going on.
I don't know if Nintendo can hear me and take my idea, but once I had a dream about a new Donkey Kong game called "Donkey Kong Country: Siren's charm" where Donkey Kong island is invaded by evil mermaids, so Donkey Kong and friends must've go through the island to save it and stop the evil mermaids, and that Kiddy Kong, Candy Kong, Enguarde and Expresso have returned and some returning themes like Nuts and Bolts, Hot Head Hop, Stilt Village Flight of the Zinger and Welcome to Crocodile Isle; that would be awesome. this isnt animal crossing in the slightest... i really hate how new horizons has tainted the view on the animal crossing franchise. its more so stardew valley meets gravity falls
Feels like a waste of potential to give away the horror factor in the marketing of the game tbh. It would be a lot cooler to have a random farming simulator that has like this creepy undertone in dialogue, but doesn’t really seem like a horror game… then when you play it, some of the innocent little characters begin to disappear, and no one seems to care or remember them… when you go to sleep at night to start the next day there’s increasingly creepy sounds and whispers… characters begin to ask overly personal questions… etc. Maybe the whispers indicate who will disappear next. (I actually see a whole story in my head already lol)
At some point seasons would change unprompted. There would be a “Halloween event”, where one of the characters who disappeared is used as a hangman prop, what looks like blood dripping from it occasionally. You can buy it as decoration. Then a “winter event” where everything is covered in snow and ice, but it’s all coming from a hidden snow machine that you can stop. If you do stop it the game crashes and….
