Good review, I shop at Aldi regularly. You picked good choices which I usually buy. I have never seen wild caught salmon in my store, good to know. Thank you.
So much better selection than in germany^^ Thing with the Sauerkraut is, that its pasteurized so nothing really of the good fermentation bacteria is in there anymore, much better to get raw fermented sauerkraut.
Exactly! I was eating the Aldi sauerkraut a few times a day for months in efforts to raise my good bacteria..... until I finally realized it's pasteurized and hence my efforts were in vain. lol I LOVE ALDI THOUGH!
Any beef is definitely better than no beef! As far as taste is concerned, the quality of pasture makes a huge difference in the flavor. That's why the beef intensively-managed cattle tastes often better than that of stock-set cattle. Unfortunately, the latter is what you usually find in supermarkets. The other nuance to the taste issue is that I try to choose health benefits over taste. Many foods have been engineered to hijack our taste buds by making them irresistible. I actually try to avoid those and, unfortunately, grain-fed beef is getting dangerously close to the "engineered for flavor" label.
I shopped at Aldi all my childhood (in Austria, where they call them Hofer), just not much in the United States (since switching to an animal-based diet).
Despite the flashy shirt, I’m actually on an animal-based diet that, as the name implies, is centered around animals (some of which we raise on the Kummer Homestead) but also includes certain plants and the expertise to “process” otherwise toxic plants to make them more compatible with human physiology.

You're most welcome!

Good point! The one at Aldi isn't raw!

They do have refrigerated sauerkraut w live probiotics
Agree! I find Farmers Markets are excellent sources for this kind of thing
Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
love my local Aldi’s , we shop here weekly and have saved so much money vs shopping at our HEB.
Right on!
Cant get raw milk in Denmark. What could i get instead
Low-temp pasteurized milk from 100% grass-fed A2/A2 cows would be your next best bet.
What seasonings can you use on your meats? Or is it just salt?
I'd stick to just salt. Any plant-based seasonings can trigger you.
Tobacco sauce
Wait, no eggs?
You didn’t watch the video, did you?😂
I am not a fan of grass fed grass finished because of the flavor so I buy regular beef which is not! Any beef is better than no beef

👍 The beef sticks don't taste good so it's okay to pass on those lol.
Thanks for the heads up!
I'm confused why you're shopping produce when carnivore is supposed to be BBB&E. Beef Butter Bacon & Eggs.
Despite what my shirt suggests, I follow an animal-based diet.
Because freedom.
@@crystalwtube (in an inigo Montoya voice) You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Interesting you opt for pasteurized. Raw is much better
seems like you’re saying pasture raised not pasteurized haha
Yep, that's what I said. At least, that's what I meant :)
@@MichaelKummer haha nice! so we are in full agreement. awesome physique btw. great video. i love Aldi!
good video, I subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
Sure can tell you’re an Aldi newbie, first time shopper!
I shopped at Aldi all my childhood (in Austria, where they call them Hofer), just not much in the United States (since switching to an animal-based diet).
Now do a meal prep with your haul or a week of eating.
We don't meal prep...we cook every day. So I'm the wrong person to give advice on meal prepping :)
It's pretty easy to imagine anyways. Literally pick any protein source you eat, I season mine, cook it, then eat the protein with fruit.
So every carnivore TH-camr sells supplements now..? Interesting. Every time you say, "pasture raised", it sounds exactly like, "pasteurized".

Ohhhhh I thought he was saying pasteurized haha
FJB!!!
That "beef" doesn't cook like regular beef, btw.
What do you mean? I haven't noticed a difference...
It cooks just fine. It’s just lean.
