    It's not crazy, solar generators are just batteries. Where I live in Michigan we rank in the top 10 most cloudy days across the country. I can't depend on solar. I've accumulated a large amount of various deep cycle batteries that I can power some things in my house for a few hours to maybe a day. But when a big snow storm hits and we'll be 3 days without power the gas generator comes out to play.

    You are confirming and answering what has me so bugged about 'power outage solutions'. There just is no one-answer-fits-all (unless you have a lot of money). You either have enough for 10 hours of running 1 thing, or 3 things for 2 days, but if you want 2 weeks of even bare items, you'll need be wise to prepare for everything, just get more. More panels, more batteries, more fuel, bigger generator, more sun. Crazy.

    After Hurricane Beryl I have added a bigger Ecoflo, a tri fuel generator, and a 400 watt solar panel. With my tri fuel generator, I have more options-natural gas, propane and gasoline. I also had a 50 amp inlet plug and an interlock kit installed, so I can power my whole house. Next on my list is getting a plumper to give me access to my house natural gas-line, it’s located on the other side of my house. I also will be ordering a soft start to be installed on my 4 ton AC unit. 8 days without power, no cell phone service and no internet, plus the Texas heat.

    This a really good idea. Even if you have a full grid or off grid, being able to charge on bad weather days, means you can have power at night without the noise.

    • @kimmer6
      @kimmer6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm in NorCal. We lost power for 3 days when the peak temp hit 100-110F for 8 days straight 2 years ago. It would get down to 90F at night. Some dumb jerk had a contractor generator running non stop day and night on the next street over. He had to refuel it on the run as it never stopped. I have battery backup and had fans, some lights and the fridge running. At about 2:20AM, I was lying there listening to that guy's generator when it started sounding a bit different. Then it started to rattle really loud and instantly stopped and fell silent. It probably ran out of oil and punched a rod out the side of the block. I snickered. His neighbors must have been delighted by the sudden quiet. There is nothing better than to rig for silent running. Run the gen set in the daytime if needed.

    Nice 👍, I am looking into getting a dual gas and propane generator to have an extra source / option to have, a 4000/ 5000w dual generator is ideal for all types of scenarios, even when gas is in short demand, propane is a great source to run your generator.🤔 Most people have gas grills in their homes so they will be able to run a dual generator with the extra source of fuel . Great video to put out, keep pushing the knowledge, god speed.

    Appreciate your video Sir. My only comment is you should take the AC adapters from a few of the other solar generators and plug a few more into that extension cord . You can put more of a load on that gas generator and the charging will be more efficient by going indivual inputs instead of losing that 10 watts from each level of pass-through charging. You might get all of them charging directly from gas and faster too!

    Nice set up and thanks for showing us how you charge your solar power stations. I think it would work better to install a transfer/interlock switch, with an outside inlet box. You can run a 10 gauge extension cord from the generator, to the inlet box, that's connected to the main control panel. This way you can charge all the power stations at the same time, using the house outlets, and run other critical circuits as well around the house. Of course you would need a bigger generator, something over 5000 running watts.

    Hello .. please can you help me .. I used to have a Bluetti AC180 .. and when I used a propane generator (1500) watt output .. I could see on the Bluetti application that I was getting 1 KW of charge going into my AC180 .. I sold that unit and got an AC200 MAX instead .. I have 3 solar panels (Bluetti PV 200) .. Can I use those 3 panels (600) watts of solar and the propane generator at the same time .. or is that to much input for the AC200 max .. Thank you 🙏

    Do you have an answer for making your own bio fuel ? Please let us know. I get solar power and inverters but self made fuel is a alternative especially with gas prices.. your advise matters . And I think it’s being on over looked

    That's what charges the new electric cars when you run out of the juice. It's made into the trunks of the new electric cars. Still gotta have that gas.

    What version and specs are your Honda and how many watts does it put out please mate? Also what's the efficiency like eg. How long will it run per litre of petrol/gasoline (if you know)?? Also are you running it on E10 or E5 fuel? Our standard unleaded just went from E5 to E10 shit and it's messing everyone's engines up over here cos were used to decent petrol but now they upped the Ethanol it's messing up every small engine, mowers and generators strimmers etc and all cars engines if Made pre 2011! It's a shite for everyone tbh so that's why I'm asking what you're running it on ethanol content wise and also if you have issues with E10 fuel over there or if they've adapted the engines for U.S. market to handle higher ethanol or perhaps changed parts out or if you have to add in additive or buy premium fuel less ethanol to run small engines?
    Cheers from London England 👍💪😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙏

      I changed my question slightly added to it mate as we're having a major fuel crises here in England so that's why I'm asking mate major fuel shortages can't get fuel. Appreciate any advice you got regards small engines and fuel you run them on

    And this, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why one group is trying to squeeze fossil fuels. Stack it to the rafters, SAFELY. Thanks, Mr & Mrs Lead!
    P. S. Apparently the scam gardener decided to “try again” after his whine fest where he said he was done. 😂 If everything you plant is in buckets, you might not own the dirt they sit on, ain’t that right! 🗣
